I'm very upset I ordered Jollof rice but they gave me fried veg rice. I see why the ratings are going down at this place. I will never order from this place again.

I grabbed a few different dishes to try, and they were all good. But the Jollof (the entire rain I stopped in) with a few containers of their hot sauce was DELICIOUS! I'll be back to try something else, hopefully. (I'm leaving town for a year, so I might run out of time.)

I haven't had a chance to try West African foods before, but several of my family members and friends have traveled to Africa and come home talking about various dishes. When I saw Glorious, I knew I needed to stop in. And I also now know i'll be back! I grabbed several sides & a couple of dishes to take home and try with my friend. We loved everything, and definitely want to try some new dishes when we return! The Jollof is my favorite so far.

I finally had a chance to try this place & it was not what I expected. Maybe I came on an off day. I ordered Spinach & Meat, Casava Leaf, Calla & Plantains. The calla must have been in the warmer ALL day, you can tell it was an older batch. My cousin ordered some as well, but fresher ones came from the back & they were better. I've had cassava leaf MANY times & this wasn't what I was use to. It was just bland & off. I bought 2 plates, & the cashier rang me for 3 bc she added my cousins plate assuming we were together; even though we told her we weren't. This is the only food I had all day since breakfast & I purchased the food around 4pm. 9pm I find myself sweating & vomiting the food up. I felt 10xs better afterwards. Needless to say.....I will NOT be going back.
Be the first to ReplyI ordered a $16.
00 large plate which came with a large serving of rice but a tiny portion of spinach with two pieces of chicken and one piece of turkey Also, the food was cold and didn't have too much flavor. Wasn't spicy at ALL and didn't taste like traditional Liberian cuisine. Was very disappointed but the food was okay overall. Nothing special.

The name lives up to their expectations! The food here is amazing and the environment is great! The restaurant is very clean and well put together, Each bite of food has so much flavor. The Fried chicken is super crispy and juicy, the Jollof rice is outstanding and that Ox tail is bursting with flavor! My mouth is watering right now as I am writing this. If you check this place out I definitely recommend you get the fruit punch drink it is out of this WORLD!!

Been driving by this place for a few months, so I finally decided to pop in for lunch. Was not disappointed!Place was very clean, and the service ways quick and friendly. I ordered the Saturday special Chicken Gravy which, for eight dollars (!) was a very good bargain for such a good meal. The chicken gravy itself was savory and filling, and the spinach rice was a mild complement. It came with a side of hot sauce which I found very tasty, and spicy but not killer. Took home some Cassava bread, which tastes like a nice sweet fluffy cornbread. Could go well as a dessert, or even for breakfast with some black coffee. Enjoyed my meal, left feeling full, and will definitely be back!
Be the first to ReplyWnnt at open on Saturday it was good.
The food was a little luke warm instead of hot so i must of went too early but overall a positive experience. I will definitely return on my way home from work again and see what other offering they are serving.

Had wanted to try this place, as I drive past every day on my commute, and I'm glad I did. We ordered three items off the Saturday Specisl menu...collard greens, mac and cheese, and pepper chicken. We were a tiny bit disappointed at the portion sizes, but the flavors were AMAZING. Collard greens sweeter and tastier than I've ever had before, creamy, indulgent mac and cheese from heaven, with a bonus fried chicken leg that was among the best I've ever had, and amazing peppered chicken and rice with just the right kick. And the tiny cups of FiIRY pepper sauce......wow!!!! Try this place, today....and then go back over and over, as I plan to. A really tasty and very unique addition to Providence's restaurant scene. Just be a tiny bit more generous with your portions, and you'll have reached perfection.

First off this place is impeccably clean from the moment you step into the front door, including the restroom. There's a good amount of seating and it is tastefully decorated. The cleanliness and ambiance is five stars in itself. The food is well displayed behind a glass so you can eat with your eyes before choosing your meal. I opted for the spinach and rice with a piece of fried fish and plantains (yes I was hungry). The fish was super crispy and delicious and I cleaned every bone. The spinach was ok but not spicy at all which tasted a little flat to me. I asked for pepper sauce, but there wasn't any ready to offer so the cook gave me a few pieces of lightly sautéed habanero peppers, which was kind but not really what I was hoping for. Adding it to the spinach however did give me a little extra heat that I felt was needed. The prices are fairly good however I did select the fish and plantains plate that was listed for $8 on the menu however I was charged $10.50; when I brought it to the cashiers attention she said that the menu was wrong and needs to be changed. I just let it go but definitely wasn't too thrilled about that. Overall I would definitely return for the fried fish and am looking forward to trying the other menu items as well.
