Granger and Co London Reviews from The Last Year
Bland food and even worse waitstaff
Prepare for lots of eye rolls and attitude for simply ordering food. They make you feel like you’ve done something wrong by entering the establishment. Incredibly off-putting vibe overall. Totally killed our moods. Food would have been great if they bothered to season it. It made me realize anyone can start a restaurant - you don’t have to be a chef you can just wing it! The miserable waitstaff left us feeling even more miserable. Don’t let the queue fool you.
Experience! !!
Here's the translation of your text: Yesterday, we came to the restaurant for lunch for my friend's birthday. We waited in line and entered without any problem since we knew we would have to wait anyway. We sat down at the table, and I went to the restaurant manager and asked if they could bring a dessert and a candle after we finished our meals for my girlfriend's birthday. I selected the dessert from the menu, reassured him not to worry, and he took note of my request, promising to bring the dessert and candle after our meal. Then, I placed our order for scrambled eggs and a hamburger (well-done), and we started waiting for our food. Our drinks arrived, cola and coffee, but after 40 minutes of waiting for our meals, they still hadn't come. We thought they might be busy, so we didn't complain. However, after 50 minutes passed, and even though the two tables next to us, which arrived later, had already received their meals and started eating, we asked the waiter who took our order when our food would be ready. He (a gentleman) said we hadn't told him our order. We reminded him that we had ordered scrambled eggs and a hamburger, both well-done. He then asked how the hamburger should be cooked, and we replied "well-done." He said it was taking a long time because it wasn't well-done. He went to check at the cashier and, in our opinion, forgot to input our order. I told him I'm a chef and cook steak hamburgers every day, and it doesn't take 1 hour and 10 minutes for well-done meat to cook. We felt deceived by the excuse of the meat taking so long to cook. Later, the restaurant manager came and apologized, and when I mentioned I was a chef, he seemed a bit more upset because he understood that I knew how things worked in the kitchen. Finally, our food arrived. Then, the second disappointing incident occurred: they brought Pavlova but no CANDLE! I told the waitress (a lady), and she said no one told her anything about it! This was really upsetting; I felt embarrassed in front of my friend. Then she went to the back and, with a frown on her face, said something about me, and they brought my embarrassed friend a Pavlova with a candle. Nevertheless, everything was made better thanks to Restaurant Hish. The manager came over about 10 times to apologize, acknowledging that he was sorry for how our day had gone and that we wouldn't be charged for the meal. Initially, we didn't accept this and offered to pay half or just for the main courses without the dessert, but he insisted it was entirely their fault and kindly gifted us the meal! He handled the situation wonderfully, and I wanted to learn his name to write this to you because you should feel lucky to have such an employee, and I believe he deserves recognition. HISH, you really know how to do this job, my friend!
Great customer experience
Let’s start with the waiting time. It is actually fun to wait outside because of their Host JHONNY! He keeps us all entertained and we all enjoyed it. The food is amazing. It’s surprisingly not a pricey place especially for the quantity and the quality. Well done. I’d recommend getting the sesame latte cuz it’s definitely worth it!
Fantastic place and great food
Amazing food. We had the avocado on dusty knuckle sourdough and I couldn’t fault it. Coffee was also one of the best around. Our host Travis made the experience 11/10. Would definitely recommend

A little disappointed
We went to this place at the beginning of February, we ordered pancakes and avocado toast, all in all not bad. But the "worst" part comes at the moment of the bill, initially it was brought to us wrong, in fact they gave us the receipt for another table. Once the error was reported, the waitress proceeded to bring us the right receipt, but at the moment of payment they made us pay the total of the old bill with the POS, obviously it had a higher price of around €15. Fortunately, I immediately noticed the error and we reported the disservice again to the owner of the restaurant, who however was unable to refund the money immediately as the payment was by card. We then had to pay the bill again and waited a week for the refund. In all of this, no one apologized to us for what happened, neither the owner nor the waitresses involved, in fact we were looked at in a bad way. Fortunately there were no problems but by going to a place that is spoken of so highly the customer expects a different type of attention and treatment. Could it have been a careless mistake? Maybe!!!!
Recommended, cozy and beautiful place for a more exclusive breakfast/lunch
Absolutely recommended for the connoisseur. The food is incredibly original and delicious, although it could be a bit more pricey, but we knew that. The restaurant is located in the better area of London. The service was helpful and friendly.
excellent breakfast
I was there one morning with my boyfriend, wanting to only have breakfast we only ordered one dish each. It was a wonderful experience, excellent food, extremely courteous staff. As an Italian I was pleasantly struck by the very high quality of the coffee, which is always an added value. The place is also very well kept and clean.
Food poisoning…
The avocado toast is served with the avocado almost whole on top and a poor poached egg placed on the side. The mocha is good, but the chocolate stagnates at the bottom. But above all... worst food poisoning of my life 1 hour later (it was the only thing I had eaten all day) Apart from that the place is pretty and the servers are friendly.
Dismal Dining: A Disheartening Encounter at Granger.
My recent dining experience at this establishment on a Sunday morning was regrettably far from satisfactory. The individual in charge of managing the queue exhibited a notable lack of hospitality, directing us to relocate with a brusqueness that left much to be desired. In a tone that could only be described as discourteous, he emphatically instructed us to step away from the entrance, deeming it necessary to declare, "This is a restaurant, not a zoo." To be candid, the encounter was not only surprising but also deeply disappointing, particularly considering I was accompanied by my two children and my brother. The unwarranted rudeness in what should have been a welcoming setting cast a shadow over the entire dining experience. Furthermore, the impact of such treatment extended beyond the initial encounter. It fostered an atmosphere of discomfort and unease, prompting second thoughts about whether this establishment truly values its patrons. The ethos of a restaurant extends beyond the menu; it encompasses the entire customer experience, from the moment one steps in until the final farewell. The incident with the queue organizer reflected poorly on the overall ambiance of the restaurant, and it's disheartening to see such a lack of courtesy tarnishing what could have been an enjoyable meal. It's essential for a dining establishment to cultivate an environment where patrons feel not only satiated by the food but also welcomed and appreciated. Regrettably, based on this encounter, I find it challenging to recommend this restaurant to others. The essence of a dining experience lies not only in the culinary offerings but also in the respectful and considerate treatment of patrons. It is my sincere hope that this feedback serves as a catalyst for positive change in the establishment's approach to customer service.
Puding
I went there for their delicious food with my friend and my dog, the waiter whose name was Travis was very welcoming to all of us. He asked if my dog was an “emotional support” dog in order to be able let him in, because normally they don’t allow dogs inside but when i showed the proof he let us in to our table and was very welcoming. Everyone who was working there was lovely. My friend who was visiting London for the first time had a great experience because of the food, atmosphere and especially the friendly staff. Thank you
The best brunch spot in NH!
The most popular spot for brunch in Notting Hill and for good reason! Lovely food, gorgeous venue and great staff. Big shout out to the GM Adam and server Tony who were both top notch during my visit! Will be back for sure.
Loved
Loved this place and Travis looked after us so well. Food was delicious and the blankets helped us outside. We will be back if we can get Travis again
Excellent breakfast! Scrambled eggs were super creamy and
Excellent breakfast! Scrambled eggs were super creamy and fluffy, Bloody Mary was excellent with a kick, grilled halloumi was tasty and sourdough toast was perfectly done.
Excellent service and lovely ambiance.
I had shrimp cakes and fries, both of which were perfect.
We came to this little gem because my husband saw a review
We came to this little gem because my husband saw a review that mentioned thinking about those pancakes for two months. I'm not a pancake person so I ordered eggs & toast, he stuck with his decision to order the pancakes. I regret not ordering them for myself. My eggs were perfectly cooked and the toast!! That toast was delicious. But I tasted his pancakes, and wanted more. They are killer! Funny thing is my husband had a meeting that afternoon... and guess where they went? Yeah. Back to Grangers and he got those pancakes AGAIN!! They are seriously that good. And for as busy as it was, the staff seemed to keep things moving. Highly recommend. Go get those pancakes.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
