Great brunch spot with friends and family.
Love the course meal and the unlimited champagne

Amazing brunch deal! We had a large group so we had to reserve a special menu. But the food options were all amazing. They keep serving you the small plates and you WILL leave stuffed. Bottomless bubbles, with a few juice options to mix with. Cute in and outdoor seating. Service was a tad slow, but it was busy. Just make sure you get your waiter(s) attention if you want to take advantage of the champagne!! Really enjoyed it here, would recommend to anyone looking for a good brunch deal in Hoboken.
Be the first to ReplyInteresting brunch spot.
Great deal for bottomless food and drinks. They essentially bring out one of each plate for the table (with 8-10 courses total). You can tell they save the nicer/more expensive items like burgers and wings for the end once you're filled up on the cheaper items (fruit, yogurt). The combination of plates served is a bit all over the place - fruit and yogurt to wings and meatballs. The wait staff is very strict and will kick you out when time is up (wasn't the friendliest about it). With that said, they do a great job refilling drinks and food.

Came here for lunch with a group of friends for the new year around noon. It was pretty empty probably because it's a Monday afternoon. The lunch menu itself seemed pretty small but it had some good choices. I had hoped for a brunch menu but it seems that's only for the weekends. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and wedges and it was a pretty filling meal. For drinks, I had the winter spritz with was a twist on aperol spritz but with cider. It was very yummy! The staff was kind and attentive. I would recommend if you're in the area!

The restaurant was full but we were told they were closing soon for a private event. We ordered our meals and all of a sudden the room felt like an ant hill that got kicked. Towers of chairs were being dragged by our heads into the next room. Tables were being shifted. We were abandoned for long stretches. What was supposed to be a leisurely meal to catch up with old friends, turned into an anxiety filled rush. At least the eggs Benedict was good. So was the French toast. The servers were trying to be helpful when they came by, but everyone there was clearly prioritizing the event that was going to be happening in the other room. If the restaurant is going to devote its resources to private events, they should shut down the breakfast service for the hotel. Or post a sign that the dining room will be closing soon to host a private event. Can't do both well if you're not keeping paying guests happy during their meal. I'd be happy to try Halifax again some day if this is fixed.

If you're looking for a perfect place to see the NYC skyline and eat a delicious brunch, you've got to come here. We did the unlimited brunch, and everything we ate was phenomenal. Even with our large group, our glasses were never empty, and the service was top notch. I'll be recommending Halifax to everyone.
Be the first to ReplyOne bottle and unlimited tapas.
. sounds great if only they'd actually bring you anything. When my friends and I asked for certain plates or a refill on drinks we were greeted with the most curt of attitudes. Between five of us as all shared one tapa on the menu. When we asked for more they never came. We paid for 'a bottle each' but maybe got two glasses at best because the service was so drearily slow. When I complained the manager could care less. I've never been so disregarded as a customer. For the brunch to cost $300, it didn't add up for us.
Be the first to ReplyHalifax is a great establishment located in Hoboken, NJ.
The menu offers a good variety of options for both food and drink. The dining room is very well lit by natural sunlight and the service was good as well. I recommend visiting if you want a water front locations or are staying at the W Hotel!

Halifax has a very popular 2 hour unlimited brunch and optional sparkling wine. For unlimited food, the quality is fairly good and has variety. You're allowed to order repeats of any small plate, but because it's typically busy, the service can be slow. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has soaring windows that give views of the Hudson. Just know that the music is very loud for brunch standards.

My friend had her 23rd birthday celebration at Halifax on a Sunday morning for a group of 19. The staff at Halifax was very kind and easy to work with in terms of arranging the menu and allowing us to all sit at one time and placing name cards on the table according to our seating chart. Our drinks were constantly refilled and food was brought out continuously at the request of the birthday girl. However, there were often delays in bringing out certain dishes and despite asking for more mac and cheese, our request was ignored. We had also asked for sliders earlier in the meal, but they were only served in the last 10 minutes of our allotted time. The first dish we were served was the fruit salad, which was disappointingly cut up too small and frankly, difficult to eat with a fork. It would have been less work for both the kitchen staff and guests if the fruit was chopped up in larger chunks. However, I did appreciate the assortment of fruit included in the mix! The smoked salmon, which came with cream cheese and crostini was delicious, but the mac and cheese was the star of the show! The chicken meatballs were too salty, but the french toast was amazing. The maple whipped cream was top tier and there was plenty of whipped cream for the four slices of french toast included on each plate. The salad was sadly unimpressive with an overly large portion of leaves, although the candied walnuts were a nice touch. Overall, we had a good time at Halifax, but I felt that there could have been a larger selection of food to choose from, and some improvement could be made on some dishes. However, the location itself was beautiful and the service was wonderful!

The food is good, but for the price I'd say it meets expectations, but isn't anything special. I like it enough where I've been coming here for many years on a somewhat regular basis (once a month or so). The problem has been the service, and because I liked this place I wanted to give it a number of chances before writing a bad review. It's been the last 5 times I've been here, however, so it's a consistent problem now. I've both eaten in and gotten takeout and there is always some kind of issue. For example, the last time I ate there when I asked for the check it took them 15 minutes to get it to me. I was almost late to my meeting. The last time I ordered takeout, when I had gotten there 40 minutes after I placed the order, it wasn't ready because they had forgotten to tell the kitchen someone placed an order. It's pathetic.
Be the first to ReplyDelirious food not sure why this place has 3 stars.
We sat at the outside patio, service was great food was delicious and the atmosphere was top.
Be the first to ReplyBeen coming here for years but somehow our experience
Been coming here for years but somehow our experience yesterday was just a tad off - air conditioning seemed to be on the blink - not fun on a hot summer afternoon, we ordered the same Cool as a Cucumber cocktail 3 times at our table and it was different every time - perfect the first time, a bit too sweet the second time and the third time it came in a smaller glass just over ice - no cucumber slices in it or any mint garnish. Not sure it was worth the $16!! The Quinoa salad was a huge disappointment - just basically plain quinoa with literally 3 leaves of arugula and a few pieces of avocado. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of nice lunch places open on a weekday afternoon, but really, that's not a reason to slack off Halifax!
Be the first to ReplyI am surprised I haven't written a review for Halifax
I am surprised I haven't written a review for Halifax already. I love this spot but just for when you are in a mood for a boozy brunch! They have unlimited small plates with a bottle of Prosecco and they give you different juices to pair the Prosecco with. The brunch food is yummy and the views are fantastic. It's a wonderful spot for a date or a girls brunch. You won't regret it.. unless you are a lightweight
Be the first to ReplyWe went there for dinner with two families and 8 people.
We had two two-year old picky eaters so we brought our own food just for them. Also they toddlers get fuzzy if they have to wait for their ordered food to be served. Obviously the manager was not happy about it and told us we couldn't bring in outside food for anyone. After we insisted he left and said we would be charged 'open food' fee. So we paid almost $400 for the party, which included $17 'open food' fee. It was not a big deal in terms of the amount they charge, but it did make us feel uncomfortable and felt that this place is not family-friendly. I don't think I would come back again with a family.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for a dinner date, catching up with friends, etc.
not only is the restaurant beautiful, the staff is great and the good is delicious! It's a little on the pricey side, but worth it. Also, the wine is perfect. I had a great time here. I'll definitely be back. Also, looking at the city while having dinner is a win!
Be the first to ReplyI've been coming to this place for their bottomless brunch
I've been coming to this place for their bottomless brunch for so many important events- birthdays, graduation parties, valentine's days and each time it doesn't disappoint! It is definitely the most bang for your buck because of the unlimited drinks AND small plates! There is so much variety of food and enough options for vegetarians and meat-eaters. Plates are also customizable for allergies. The interior is absolutely beautiful and transports you to a palace with a floor to ceiling windows of a view of the NYC skyline! Couldn't get better than this. The challah french toast is to die for and they definitely provide more than 1 bottle of champagne pp! My glass was NEVER empty! This is super fun for special occasions and will leave you wanting to come back. Making reservations were also super simple
Be the first to ReplyYum, yum yum! Ate here for breakfast.
We enjoyed the bar buffet - eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt parfait's...plus assorted breads and muffins, along with juice. Everything was warm and tasty. One plate filled me. Our server was very nice. Water was refilled promptly. Our buffet was included with room cost. We were not offered or asked if we wanted coffee or tea, even if it was I assume to be an up charge. Had we been asked, I would have added it to bill. Since not, we wound up going to Dunkin after breakfast,
Be the first to ReplyCame back here to do the unlimited brunch.
For $30, you get unlimited small plates ($46 if you opt in the drink option). The breakfast small plates were definitely a lot better than the lunch plates. My favorites were the deviled eggs and French post. All the lunch plates were mediocre. This spot is great for its ambiance and location but if you're looking for exceptional good, there are definitely better spots in Hoboken.
Be the first to ReplyI went here for my boyfriend's birthday.
We were running a bit late, and once I called, they were very accommodating and understanding. (About 15 mins late) At first, we were a bit confused with how the brunch worked, but it was great. They just keep bringing plates over from the brunch menu and unlimited drinks. Also, we ordered some things off the menu, which is nice to know just in case you want to have something else that is not on there, but you'll just have to pay for it outside of the brunch menu. Honestly it is so much food you will not need more ha! I just got him some 'birthday' special shots because he enjoys that :) I also told the waitress it was his birthday, and she was nice enough to write it out on the dessert. :) It was so windy out, so the candle wasn't the best, but that is totally understandable! It was a great vibe, and they had music on the outside as well which was fun! Right on the water. Great day!

Had a wonderful experience at Halifax Hoboken celebrating our anniversary! My husband had the steak and I had a delicious seafood gnocchi dish. The food was excellent , service was great, and they even gave us a nice little anniversary surprise for dessert with glasses of champagne. Will definitely be back !
Be the first to ReplyWow!! I am so so in love with The vibes going on at Halifax
Wow!! I am so so in love with The vibes going on at Halifax Outdoor Patio! Was walking passed last Friday after work when I saw their family friendly set up. A huge jenga was ready for you to destroy, high top tables to hang out at, and a couple games of corn hole. Their happy hour drinks are great. We tried the Boozy Slushy. The watermelon is by far the absolute best! As far as drinks, they have something for everyone. Aside from the mixes drinks, there was also wine and beer. The best part was the oyster and shrimp happy hour! Their grass area was set up with comfy chairs that were spread out across the lawn. When looking for an outdoor happy hour, you absolutely cannot go wrong here.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly, this brunch cannot be topped.
As far as boozy brunches go, this is the best and that's a lot coming from me as drunk brunch is one of my favorite things. It's usually very rare to enjoy the food at one of these things, but all of the small plates were awesome (and unlimited like the bubbles). For $46 this cannot be beat especially since boozy brunch options in Hoboken are few and far in between.
Be the first to ReplyGreat all you can eat sunday brunch spot.
Good for groups and pretty good quality food.
Be the first to ReplyI recently visited this restaurant on Sunday for 2pm brunch.
We were seated right away and we had the bubbles brunch. with this option, you're topped off with champagne every few minutes and you're able to add orange juice or strawberry purée to your champagne. also, you try every small plate on the menu and you're able to order your favorite plates within the 2 hour time slot. we didn't receive one of the small plates that were on the list, the sliders. how do you except to have a brunch on Sunday and run out of food? When i reordered the salmon plate, they ran out of bread for the salmon plate. this restaurant needs to order the correct amount of food, given the popularity of this restaurant and the time slot they serve brunch. this is def A one and done place; I won't go back unless i HAVE to go.
