A Very Nice Luxury Escapes Deal
We purchased a three course lunch with a both of wine for two people. The weather was glorious and we were allocated a front row table. Even though there was a cruise ship in, and it blocked the view of the Opera House, we still enjoyed the view. The staff were polite and courteous. The food was very nice and timely. A great experience indeed. Highly recommended. Only downside was that we were not offered tea/coffee after our meal.

Excellent place with very good pasta with seafood as well as fresh mussels and good drinks, the view of the bay and the impressive opera house

We had dinner here with the idea of eating fish. And so it was! Cuisine with a strong Italian influence. I opted for the swordfish with a side of broccoli. Unfortunately no dessert... they didn't have mille feuille...
Be the first to ReplyFantastic location and great seafood!
Beautiful food, beautiful views. Sometimes there are cruise ships parked outside this place so if you want a view of the opera check that first. The food we ate was beautiful. We had a range of starters and main courses which were all seafood. The Service wasnโt as quick as other restaurants in Sydney but it was still good. By 8:30 pm this restaurant was very quiet. It seems places in Australia close very early compared to other countries.

We visited this restaurant last Thursday night and found it to be excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection as was the fish, but the pippies were very tough. My entree of Burrata cheese was delicious and the calamari was also perfect. Tiramusu and cheese platter OK. Wine was expensive but good. The best part was the excellent service all evening. Thank You. Bev Beach from Camden NSW

We stopped in for a cocktail and then were seduced by the Baked Alaska Bombe. Great view and a pleasant spot to people watch along Sydney Harbour.
Be the first to ReplyOver rated and Overpriced!!
Highly over rated and overpriced. It was very expensive and the worst value for money in the Rocks area - probably Sydney for that matter. Four small peeled farm prawns for $38!! Kidding!! The best part about the fish was the pea puree - and this is supposed to be a seafood restaurant. I was embarrassed as an Australian that is mob are clearly just exploiting unsuspecting tourists. Do your research and dine elsewhere!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolute Rip Off - tourist trap to avoid
4 small prawns for $38. This is a complete tourist trap to avoid. Beware if you are a traveller. The fish and chips was mediocre at best.
Be the first to ReplyCheck the Port of Authority of New South Wales Cruise Schedule before you book your reservation
Was my favorite place to go for 20 years (it is now Hugos in Manly). Since reopening, the menu is somewhat limited, the food is overpriced, the service has been average and when a cruise ship (which is most of the time) is in port, your view of the Harbor is of the side of a ship. Be sure to check the Port Authority of New South Wales cruise schedule before you book - available on-line.

The trifectaโterrible service, awful food, and extremely expensive. Find literally anywhere else to eat and itโll be a better experience.
Be the first to ReplyAwful
Awful overpriced place serving seafood that is not fresh, very poorly cooked and presented as tiny servings. Obviously aimed at tourists who will not be returning. One of the worst meals we have ever eaten and ridiculously overpriced. Avoid at all costs.
Be the first to ReplyGreat fish, great view
We dined here twice and both times the seafood was excellent. On one occasion the service was delightful and efficient and the second time friendly but not quite so efficient. I had bugs and the crispy salmon for main course โ both were delicious. The grilled prawns we had for starter were tasty but outrageously overpriced. Overall, for the price we paid I could not give five stars because portion sizes were so small. Then if you ordered a side, like the fries, it turned out to be huge and far too much to eat. Strange. the view is great as well.

I had lunch here on the weekend. I did not have any reservation and selected this place as I felt a welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food amazing. I had the Barramundi with a salad. Very enjoyable!!
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best barramundi ever
Beautifully located next to Doyles at the Circular Quay, the restaurant offers excellent verarities of fish and oysters. If you look for Sydney Rocj Oysters, this is the place you want to go. Accomplished with a barramundy, cooked to perfection. Absolutely a recommendation!
Be the first to ReplyIconic View Location, Shame About The Food
Had dinner here last night for the first time in many years. The refurbishment of the area is excellent as is, of course, the iconic view. We were with friends who are business colleagues and for one of them it was here first day ever in Australia, so the location blew her away. What a shame the food was a let down. An entree serve of fresh prawns for $36 was a ridiculously small portion and very small prawns. The grilled prawns still had the shell on and very hard to eat. I had fish and chips which was a massive portion but far too much batter. Two of us had the panna cota for desert and it was far too solid and pretty tasteless. Luckily our overseas visitors did not have these meals and they said their barramundi was excellent and certainly it looked nice. The service was good, albeit sometimes hard to understand.

Came here for a special meal and weren't disappointed. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. The food was excellent: the hot and cold seafood platter for two was large and spectacular; the Humpty Doo barramundi was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and delicious. Our only disappointment was our view of Sydney Opera House being blocked by a very large cruise ship!

After a superb experience at their neighbour ie 6Head I had high expectations for our end of year lunch at Harbourfront. The great location, great table and the fantastic view you expect is just about where the compliments end. The waiter started to take our orders and the answered his mobile to walk off and take the call. Restaurant manager taking a booking? The seafood platters looked OK at first but at $285.00 each were not value for money. Very ordinary and both couples were underwhelmed. My partner ordered a $60+ steak and could barely eat it/gristly and over cooked. When I explained to another waiter when paying the bill his response was: "we're known for our seafood not our steak". Unacceptable. The older waiter was surly and slopped wine on the table and us when pouring. No finesse and no smiles. Overall the six of us agreed it was among the worst meals of the year. I won't be back - this is the epitome of a tourist-trap rip-off restaurant exploiting a view. The management should be ashamed.

Complete rip off. Everything was done on the cheap, even the Christmas crackers contained only cheap paper hats. Freeflow drink was terrible and food not much better. We were there for Christmas lunch a few years ago and it was excellent, obviously new owners.
Be the first to ReplyLocation A1 but lacks quality
Position, position, position. The views of Opera house and the coat hanger from here are magnificent. But not so the food. Overpriced and designed for the passing tourists but a sure bet locals donโt come back for a second time. Service is friendly, but attentiveness is average. Our wine waiter. did not carry a corkscrew and I had to show him how to use a waiters friend. Not all bottles are screw caps yet. Starter was quite good, however mains were below par. My wifeโs seafood linguini had 4 prawn heads, 3 prawn tails but only 2 prawns. My seafood tasting plate was overpriced and the octopus overcooked. Scallops were like tofu with a vague seafood taste. Wine list is well balanced with a good list of seafood complementing wines

We had our 10 Year Anniversary dinner here and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing and there was something for everyone. The views of course are spectacular. Service was excellent. Definitely worth booking well ahead of time for special occasions. The one downside is there isn't anywhere to wait for your table and relax with a cocktail in case you arrive early.

We were a group of four for lunch.delightful Sydney afternoon and service and food were both spot on. The booking asked us if it was for a special occasion, which it was - a birthday, but that didnโt seem to count for much, there was nothing extra. Now that cruise ships are back in the harbour, when they are in port Iโm afraid you d9nt get a view of the opera house, from most tables, Judy a close up of the cruise ship. I thought pricing was about right for Sydney harbour side.
Be the first to ReplySeafood at its best
Premium location with open plan outdoor seating looking towards harbour bridge. Entreeโs excellent - particularly the octopus and calamari. Bit on the expensive side which is understandable given location and industry challenges of late!
Be the first to ReplyNice location, service poor and food vert average
Service slow and inattentive. Served tables around us who sat down after us, got the order wrong, and food was luke warm when it turned up.. . disappointed and will not return
Be the first to ReplyWonderful dinner and stunning views
As other reviews have suggested you cannot beat the view and location, we had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed every dish including Humpty Doo barramundi (best I have ever tasted) and opera cake with an excellent wine selection. The staff were efficient and helpful. I would say the prawn entree was not worth it given the price tag but that would be my only complaint. Avoid the prawns and enjoy other better value and tasty dishes!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, friendly staff and wonderful views
Restaurant is located in Circular Quay, offering wonderful views of the harbour bridge on the left and opera house on the right. Food was delicious and service was great.
