Hard Rock Cafe Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
Went on a small staycation and decided on the Hard Rock
Went on a small staycation and decided on the Hard Rock Cafe and we're disappointed with the food quality and taste. The steak was pretty decent, but could get better steak at Texas Roadhouse, and somewhat better service. Our server was sweet and helped us with the menu and what she suggested. The mashed potatoes looked like a yellowish-brown and really inedible. Lack of flavor and just a weird side dish. I'm not a cook, but I can assure you the potatoes should not look ot taste thay way. Even, the mac and cheese tasted almost like a processed cheese and came out watery and very inedible, like the mashed potatoes. There are plenty of other options in the citywalk area
As far as atmosphere goes awesome! As far as food goes
As far as atmosphere goes awesome! As far as food goes traditional mid level. As far as service she was impeccable, such a nice sweet lady, really cared for her service and customers. Parking was at the park garage grrrr Prices were sooo goddamn expensive it was crazy 3 alcoholic drinks 6 meals and 2 apps. Ran me 435$

Great atmosphere in the main room: There's a rotating pink Cadillac, stained glass windows of The King & music memorabilia galore. Love it! The side rooms are blander, so we requested the main room. The burger was delicious and the meat was abundant. It's a great meal after a long day in Universal Theme park. I highly recommend. The menu is mostly classic Americana staples like burgers, chicken Caesar salads, steaks, etc. vegetarian options as well. Our server, Vegas, was spirited, fun & professional. Other servers assist to make sure the food all arrives to the table at once. The manager was also very helpful with our questions. Totally in point staff. I noticed someone complained about pricing- I thought it was good pricing. Theme park locations usually charge a little more, but the prices for burgers & beer were all normal, if I was home on Portland. And I thought the quality of the food given the location was good value. (Even if it wasn't them park location, I liked the value of food for price. And it was great atmosphere with good service.) Tip- get there & make a reservation quickly after leaving the park & Then meander around. Expect to wait: they said it was an hour. We only waited 40 minutes. But still, get your name in. Also, there is an Elvis room tucked away upstairs!!!!!!
Cocktails are lovely
We called for cocktails one lunch time. We had a Bahama Mama and an Electric Blue. They were refreshing for us since it was so warm. Whilst having these we had the stack of onion rings to nibble on. Quite inside due to it been early. We were seated at the bar since we were not eating a meal.
Wow, what a vibe
Sure glad we got here at 5:30 cuz line was out the door when we left at 6:30! Seated immediately & Michelle came right over. Hubby had strawberry basil lemonade, (a first), she suggested. Then bbq pork sandwich w/slaw & fries, so big. I had chicken wings w/lotsa dressing. Dessert was NY cheesecake w/delish strawberries & sauce. She added whatever we needed & remembered everything! The vibe is SO cool, w/songs & videos, & guitars all over! Just such a fun place to dine, loooved it.
Piss poor Management
Over 15 of us popped in for a drink at the bar , 3 people got served with in half hour , the management were diabolical and would not assist the staff , we eventually walked out . The girl behind the bar was run off her feet , bless her .

It was the most ugliest burger I've ever had for 20+$ on my question why it's not even close to the picture (see behind!) I've fit the reply: it's the same but a bit flatter. No excuse nothing!

Huge music fan and love memorabilia? Hard Rock Cafe is the place for you with its rock theme, artist items, and rotating music videos around the place. The service from the front desk to the waiter was great and they had managers walking around checking in to make sure everything was going well (But they don't know who some of the artists are in the pictures). Our party got cocktails and beer which were delicious, then for an appetizer we had bruschetta which was some of the best bruschetta I have had. Then for the main course I got the Mesi collaboration burger. The burger was cooked to perfection and had some decently seasoned flavor, only real complaint is the cost being $20 but it is to be expected at a theme park restaurant.
Slow service, mediocre food
Attended with a large group last Friday. Our group was late as it’s a process getting to the restaurant. Parking deck, going through security at Universal, GPS took half our group to the Hard Rock Hotel. We had one server for our group. It took so long for him to take our drink order that some of us walked up to the bar and got it ourselves. We were never asked if we wanted another drink while we waited and waited for our food. The food was just ok, nothing special. Too many other restaurant options at City Walk. Just wasn’t a great experience for our group.
When we arrived there was an hour wait to be seated.
Thankfully our table came up sooner and we were seated on the second floor with an awesome view of the rotating pink Cadillac. Our server was friendly but we did feel bad for him. It seemed he had multiple tables plus was running behind the bar. On top of that in order to get our food he had to go all the way around and across the dining room. We joked that he must get his steps in each shift. We had a small issue with our kids meals that were rectified quickly with fresh food and an extra hot side of fries. The food was delicious and we ate every bite. Loved the strawberry mojitos. A nice adult drink to end the day. We enjoyed the decor and the collaboration with Messi. A nice casual dining experience but you need to be patient dining here during peak time.
We ate lunch here twice in two days, it was so good.
Our party of three collectively decided the burgers were the best thing going in city walk and their fries were top notch. I had an order of onion rings and they were crispy and delicious. My husband ordered the Messi chicken sandwich and said it was good but not as good as the burgers. The service was great! Ana took excellent care of us on our first visit and the three bartenders were very attentive to us our second visit when we sat at the bar. The beer was cold and my daughter enjoyed her mocktail! It was neat seeing the photos and other mementos around the restaurant. The AC felt wonderful. The music was a little louder than I'd prefer but I think that's a sign I'm getting too old. The mix of songs was enjoyable and we look forward to our next visit if there is ever a Hard Rock Cafe in the vicinity.
Fantastic experience
After having a slightly disappointing experience a few months back we returned tonight and had a fantastic time. Our server Heather was great, food was all really good and nicely paced. Recommend sitting in a booth around the main bar area if you can, definitely the place to sit. We will be back for sure!
We went here right after the park closed, our last day in
We went here right after the park closed, our last day in Florida. We were celebrating my husbands bday, so he had the special pin you can get at guest services at the park on. They recognized it and let the waitress know. They took a photo of us with my husband holding a guitar and then later try to sell it to you for $25-$30 (kinda like Medieval Times). The menu is fairly simple, burgers, salads and some steaks. I got the Oroginal and my husband a BBQ burger (about $20 each) and some sodas. They give you a special paper to get your waiter/waitresses "autograph" for your birthday and you can turn it into the shop for a free bday surprise (we got a bag backpack, not too bad of a surprise I'd say, I thought we'd get like a sticker or something). The waiters usually yell really loud and get everyone in the area hyped up for your birthday but my husband opted out of that haha! She brought him a free sundae though. So overall it worked out very nice, and they went extra for birthdays, I feel. Perfect last day dinner. We did have a coupon for $10 off $50 (from the Rosen Inn) but they wouldn't let us use it because our total was $47 which is a bummer. She did give us an option to purchase something else that was like $3 so we could use it, but we declined and gave the coupon to our neighbor.
Had a great dinner and a super host in Adrianna.
Had a fall off the bones half rack of ribs and my wife had a great chicken salad.
Rude staff
Allow enough time to get to the venue as drop off point is in the car park for universal. You then have to walk a distance to get to the cafe. We didn’t realise so we were running late due to the distance from the car park to Hard Rock Cafe. When we entered there was a photographer taking photos who was very up beat and very pleasant and made you feel like you’ll have a nice welcoming time there. The lady serving us was lovely however the other waitresses/ waiters were very unpleasant. It was as if we weren’t being served by them so they didn’t care. One waitress bumped into someone on our table with a high chair, there was no acknowledgement that she bumped into us and no apology whatsoever. Then there was an issue with larger on draft. It was flat so instead of waiting for the waitress to come back we went to the bar ourselves. The bar staff when we went to the bar to exchange again was very rude and it was as if we were a hindrance to them. Again it came across that they weren’t our waiter/waitress so it wasn’t of any benifit to them to be pleasant. It’s as if they are only pleasant when they are the waitress for your table to ensure they have a tip. It was such a shame because we then went in to the shop attached to the cafe and they were very pleasant. It was supposed to be an anniversary meal with family. It’s our first time at Hard Rock Cafe and I honestly felt we’d wasted our money. We couldn’t wait to finish our food and leave as the attitude of the staff over all wasn’t welcoming.
Book on time! Good food
Book here in advance, because the restaurant's agenda fills up quickly. Food quality: very good. Both the salad and the burger (which took allergies into account) were very tasty. So why only a passing grade? We had to wait almost half an hour for our food, after ordering. I understand that it is rush hour, but ticket times of 30 minutes are simply too long for a restaurant that has been around for a while
First evening in Orlando to attend a conference.
.. I was staying at the Portofino which is on the Universal property so walked over to city walk to grab a bite to eat for dinner. I sat at the bar and had a Legendary burger and a triple platinum margarita. Both were fine, and a bit spendy but I completely understand that that's what happens when you buy a meal at a theme park.
Low-key love this place
This is an iconic spot for me. I just love the design and placement of the establishment. However, the wings were disappointing. The Hard Rock for me are usually known for their wings. Such a shame. The service was also quite awkward. I did enjoy the atmosphere and shop afterwards though.
love it

Good food; Long Wait
We really enjoyed our meal here, but it was very busy! We waited for about 20 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, it took an hour to get our food. Given we were all having burgers (or similar), it really shouldn’t take that long. Having said this, the food was delicious and the service was good. It’s a unique experience with lots of music memorabilia, so a great place to visit if you have a musician in the family!
Great! But?
My expo was great here, the staff are very helpful when you need helping finding your seats (in the live stage area). And the food is lovely! I went to watch a show here which was great. One thing I didn’t like very much was the seating. The seating is good up chairs and they was placed very close together, and you wasn’t allowed to move them. You also are not allowed to film or take pictures. The staff do get irritated if you try to take pictures of film in the venue. Dispute them two little things everything was great!
Awesome service, kind staff and allergy-friendly
They helped me with showing what I can eat from the menu. The staff modified the food so I could eat it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Delicious food, fast service and the most important thing: It's very allergy-friendly
A good experience, but overpriced
Food: Hard Rock's burgers are big and always very tasty, despite being equally high in calories. However, there is no exactly standout option that is excellent or differentiates the food you will find at Hard Rock from what you will find at many burger restaurants in the USA. Still, the quality of the food is good and at least in terms of taste, you won't regret it. Service: the waiter who served us was friendly and helpful. The food also arrived quickly. The only criticism I have is that he changed our order, but this was quickly corrected. Ambiance: Hard Rock's ambience has always been its most striking feature, as the restaurant is an ode to a culture that has not been so popular for at least 20 years, which somewhat affects the brand's appeal, especially to audiences younger. Still, it's still a pretty cool place to visit, whether to reminisce about the past "MTV music video era" and listen to some of the most iconic artists of all time, or to find unique items associated with those artists, like clothing. used in shows and guitars. Price: even though it is a good restaurant, it is quite expensive. Overall: it's worth going to Hard Rock if you want to experience the restaurant's atmosphere and have a lot of dollars to spare, as the restaurant is really quite expensive and the food there isn't that outstanding.
Cool atmosphere, just okay food
We dined here for dinner because we found a deal online. The food was a little underwhelming but the rock n roll vibe of the place is of course really cool. I would dine at another restaurant in the Universal boardwalk next time

Good question. Currently the bidder will have to include the prepaid dinner price plus bid to secure the reservation. AT is currently working on an upcoming release where the prepaid amount and the bid amount are two separate transactions. Happy Bidding!
