Great spot with good service and food.
The place is beautiful and has a bowling alley downstairs. They can accommodate small or large groups. Also great to share dishes family style.

Hmm, where do I even start? We had reservations for a party of 5 after the Philadelphia Flower Show. We knew it would be busy on a Saturday night, but between the rain and the traffic, it was crazy. When we got to the restaurant, they asked us to wait for our table which we knew was in the Garden Room. Quite sadly, the people at our table wouldn't leave (we watched the servers do everything they could up to collecting their napkins). Unfortunately, the group just lingered, and one of the servers said they had been there almost 2 1/2 hours. We ended up being seated at a table in the bar area. The noise from the bar was so loud it was almost comical with an obnoxious group of 20-something dudes slapping each other on the back and practically yelling. The food was just okay and wasn't enough to make up for the noise level and the lack of the table we had reserved. Because we had two young adults and a grandmother, we were just drinking water. However, the servers told us they were not allowed to leave a carafe of water on our table when we kept running out. We will not be back.

Every time I've been in here it's just a great experience. Attentive friendly staff, really tasty cocktails, good atmosphere and excellent food. Well done.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food and drinks and an amazing happy hour menu.
The pizza was incredible and only $7 for happy hour. The ambiance is nice, very dark and cool. Good service too!

I was sitting at a table and someone at the bar elbowed me in eye and the guy straight up told me not to make a bigger deal then what it was.

Very good! The space inside was much larger than expected and although we had a reservation, it took us about 10 minutes to get seated. Ideally, I think we would have all liked to try the chef's tasting menu but that required everyone at the table to agree on the same 8 dishes, which would have been fine if they were accommodating of a separate vegetarian order (which they were not). However, the food was still quite tasty! I really liked the Crispy Brussels app, Burrata small plate, and Fig & Ricotta toast. While there were plenty of vegetarian options, I only tried a couple - would def go back to try more. The Cockscomb Mac & Cheese was good but nothing to brag about - I like my mac extra saucy and cheesy, and this one was a bit dry. However, we ended the meal with full stomachs and loved the restaurant's special ambiance. Would come again for a date night or ladies' night to try new items!

Absolutely amazing place - must go when in Philly! Went to the brunch buffet and couldn't recommend it enough. Highly suggest getting the tomato pie and making chicken and waffles (don't forget the gravy). Great environment - loved the decor!

What here on a random Saturday, and was able to get a seat right away! Which is definitely rare. Would recommend making reservations ahead of time. If you want to sit down for dinner. The service was great and the vibes are really fun! The one thing that I would say is that the bathrooms weren't the cleanest when we went, but they had a pretty full bar and it seems like people were pretty toasted when we got there.

Following some research on Yelp, I opted to make reservations at Harp & Crown for a business dinner with a party of eight. The decision turned out to be an absolute win for our group, resulting in a memorable and delightful evening. Upon arrival, we were pleased to discover that we had secured a prime table situated in the heart of the restaurant. Harp & Crown boasts an inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The place exudes a certain charm and elegance, making it a visually stunning venue. While the restaurant may not be prominently labeled on the outside, its hidden gem status on a side street only added to the excitement of our discovery. Our waitress, a shining star in service, proved to be exceptionally attentive throughout the evening. We opted for a tapas-style dining approach, allowing each member of our group to sample a diverse array of dishes. The decision to share two items per person and pass the plates around the table was a brilliant move, enhancing the communal and social aspect of our dining experience. Each bite was a flavor revelation, and I found myself enamored with every dish. The food was not only delectable but also showcased a culinary prowess that exceeded our expectations. The overall ambiance of Harp & Crown, combined with the impeccable service, created a dining atmosphere that left a lasting positive impression on our entire group. From the aesthetically pleasing decor to the delectable food offerings, every aspect of our experience at Harp & Crown contributed to a truly enjoyable evening. I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem to anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience in Philly.

Nicole was our server on a really busy Saturday night and there was about 8 of us and she was beyond sweet and accommodating. The food was amazing as well as the drinks, all of her recommendations were on point. I'd love to explore the menu more so I will for sure be back.

Our first time visiting Harp & Crown -and we can't wait to go again! Brunch was phenomenal. We were greeted in such a friendly manner and were seated immediately. The garden room is bright and cheery-so beautiful. Our server, Brooke, was so nice and very helpful. A good server makes all the difference between an experience that is good and one that is amazing. We started with mimosas (the price was a steal!). Made to order omelette with bacon, fontina, onions, mushrooms, and bacon was seriously the best I've ever eaten. Prime rib was decadent. Fresh fruit helped me to feel healthy before moving on to the array of sweets that one would not want to miss. The pot de creme was perfection. It's easy to walk by this establishment and miss it; that's part of its charm!

Side note: parking is difficult in the area. We opt to park near our destination (City Winery) and caught an Uber. The place has beautiful dรฉcor with great ambiance. Me and my friend went with heir tasting menu for $55 pp. You get to pick one from 4/5 options of salad appetizers, pasta pizza and dessert. By the time we got to our 4 entrรฉe we were so full we couldn't finish and decided to have it packed to go. For the value and the price it can't be beat.
Be the first to ReplyI've been here before.
Was excellent so this weekend we decided to drop in for lunch. No reservation. Unfortunately ( for us) they were booked solid but they were pleasant and took our info to text us if a spot opened up. Nice system.
Be the first to ReplyI visited last night for the very first time.
I was late for my reservation but our table wasn't ready just yet so we were directed to the bar, which was full (always a good sign). I ordered an espresso martini. Literal perfection. My friend and I had the avocado salad, brussel sprouts, and rigatoni. It was enough food for us to share and take leftovers. I forgot I made the 'birthday' selection on my reservation and was delighted to see a brownie with a sparkler being brought out at the end of our meal. Service was great. The lighting and decor was moody (in a good way) and the food was spot on. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I sat in the basement bar last night and the bartender was not nice at all. It was the white guy with the mustache. He had a serious attitude problem. I get it being a bartender is a tough job but also being in hospitality means you should be hospitable and he certainly was not. There were a few weirdly charged uncomfortable moments with him that I'd be happy to share further with mgmt if they read their reviews. Also, we saw one small group get up and leave about 3-4 mins after they sat down and interacted with him and the one woman in the group goes wow that guy is an a**hole. Maybe he was just having a bad night idk. But I won't be going back anytime soon.

Stopped in for a quick happy hour and snack and this is a sweet vibe. Locating the entrance was tricky as sidewalk signage has low-visibility. Several people walked past the entrance as we did looking for the name "Harp & Crown" indicating this was the right place. Very nice sight-lines as you enter - the high ceilings, rustic feel and the long curvy bar area. Even the furniture was a well-placed and comfy. Happy hour menu was just right. Not too many & not too few items. Fairly priced. Tried a few options and everything was perfect. Service was outstanding, friendly, inviting, thorough and highly-organized. 5 stars. Will definitely be back and recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTheir happy hour is soooo goood.
Just ridiculously good. Highly appreciated the $6 drinks and $7 food (highly recommend the cheeseburger and pizza) in such a beautifully decorated restaurant. Def get there early for happy hour to snag a table!
Be the first to ReplyThis is always five stars for us.
The honey sopressata pizza is incredible, as is the burrata. We have never had a bad meal (or cocktail) here! The space is striking (and there is a bowling alley in the basement...). Think high vaulted ceilings, mirrors, ornate wood bar, and hanging plants in the entry. A great place to meet friends, with an excellent happy hour menu, or for a date night.

Wonderful!! Fresh berries and Greek yogurt, build your own donut, tender prime rib, thick cut maple bacon, sausage and gravy. Next I hit the chicken and waffles, juice bar and desserts!

Our favorite place for a weekend brunch!!! The ambiance is amazing, and the food is delicious!! Great variety!!
Be the first to ReplyCame here for happy hour, and the place is amazing.
Different then other places I been to. It's like older building, and the decor matches. The only complaint I would have is it's on the darker side. I was drinking their drink of the day (I think) which was a Paloma. It was light and refreshing. I didn't try the food, but every time food past by it smelled amazing!! I need to come back for the food, especially the pizza. Service was good, again I was just at the bar and I didn't have to wait long to order or get another drink. Try it out, especially if you want some good drinks.

Service was good, the place is very nice but tables are small and so close together. The couple sitting next to us may have well been sharing the same table. So awkwardly close... Waiter advised us that the food was small portions so we ordered two entrees and two apps (for two people). It was a ridiculous amount of food that could have easily fed 4 people. What a waste! Food was fine but nothing special.
