Second time back here and I enjoyed the lunch sets again.
Came here a little after noon, and while packed, there were a few tables still even without reservations on Sunday. We shared the corn/cheese croquettes which were good but not a must-do I thought. I did appreciate the ketchup-like sauce that came with it.The yuzu chicken noodle soup was so good - it comes with a spicy paste but I think it's good enough without it. It's hearty and flavorful with that yuzu hint to make it nostalgic with a twist. I also tried my friend's army stew which was incredibly such a clean taste even though it had spam and such, and the Octopus pasta which had really good marinated Octopus but the pasta was just alright I thought (it's also a smaller portion compared to the others if you're really hungry).

This place is so busy, so I strongly recommend reservations ahead of time. Our wait time for two people was about 45+ minutes on a Sunday night, and it did go a little bit overtime. The time they close varies depending on the crowd, and I realized they take orders sometimes past the close time. The place was so cute, and there was a lot of seating. It was so busy and full of conversation. The workers were so nice, and everything was clean. Although I've had a lot of Korean food, the dishes surprised me! They were so tasty. The service was great, and they always had the water refilled and asked every thought on the food. They play close attention to details.Ratings: (apologies, I forgot the names)Side dishes (10/10) - this came before the food, but the kimchi itself was the best I've had ever, no joke. It was light and still tasty. The seaweed salad was fresh and a good balance. The edamame dip with the chips were a great pairing, and the dried squid (I believe) added a great chew/fishy taste!Seafood pancake (9.5/10) - the pancake was fluffy and crispy at the same time, and the pancake easily melts in the mouth. I think it was best when hot/warm!(Small) Pork belly (9.5/10) - pair a slice of meat with the kimchi and sides, and it's amazing. It's also good on its own, but staple dish!Cold noodle (8.5/10) - I was never a fan of cold noodles, but this was so delicate and well balanced. The scallops, crab (I think), and cucumber were SO well paired, and it was pretty light on the stomach. This really changed my perception on cold noodles!

Came in without reservation at 10:30pm on a Friday and didnt have to wait at all. The kitchen closed at 10:45 so we quickly chose our dishes and waited eagerly to chow down. The food came out super fast. I think the best dishes were the fried cod with tartar sauce, rice cake (had a nice fried crunch), and the pork belly. The scallion pancake, and the marinated pork was okay but def not worth $40. All in all, if youre in the area you can try it but otherwise I wouldn't actually say go out of your way just for this restaurant.

Do not expect to get the table from terrible restaurants even you are the 1st joining waitlist since restaurant open since 05:30pm. The hostess was so rude and unprofessional. Last night, We have no reservation and should walk-in to get the table there. We arrived at restaurant early 15 mins before they reopen at 05:30pm. We are the 1st party to join the waitlist on Resy but at that time we are incomplete party that why we cannot be seated. The hostess committed us and give us grace period 15 mins. We thought we have time til 05:45pm. to get table. We completed party of 4 at 05:40pm. then inform the hostess. The hostess said that all tables were full. We asked her why our table was leased even though there are no any waitlist at that moment. She gives us the reason that "table is first come first" and show us the Resy screen. Actually, I am working as a host and using Resy also and We see possibility to accommodate customers. And we need to respect how restaurant work. In our opinion, the hostess' attention just didn't want us to be seated and told us no chance to get table right now. We totally understood. After that we ask her what the estimated time for next available. She said with bad attitude that "next table might be about 45 mins. She will notify by text and call when the table almost ready. We were the 1st waiting list in their system and joined at 05:30pm. The whole last night we didn't receive any notifications text or call from this restaurant. How come we no getting table from this restaurant even we were no.1 on the waiting list since 05:40pm? Why they let customer had been waiting and no any feedback. We attached the screenshot photo shown no any notification from this restaurant. We won't go there definitely!!! Very unprofessional and discrimination.

It was a busy weekend evening that required advanced reservations. This is a typical narrow Manhattan venue. However, it had plenty of seating for small groups and large crowds. Food came out very quickly. The food wasn't the best Korean I've had, however, I did enjoy my bibimbap. All ingredients tasted fresh. The menu choices are limited. The presentation of the food was very nice. Very clean place. Great service. Ambiance is calm and inviting.

Shortie review, delicious spot! Really creative & fun twists on traditional Korean food. We got in after 30 mins without a reservation on a week night. The servers are fast, efficient, and friendly. We had several small plates and a dessert -- recommend that approach instead of sharing an entree. The soup/stew entrees are huge and looked great but the joy of this place is trying as many interesting tastes & textures as you can with smaller plates. There are some nice vegetarian options. The rice cakes small plate was FANTASTIC with extra crispy on the saucy rice gooey chewy rice cakes! Yum yum!

Getting reservations to this place was like getting into an exclusive VIP club but so worth it. It was packed on a Thursday night and I can see why. The interior is very cozy and dimly lit. We started off with their assortment of banchan and croquettes which were so creamy and fried to perfection. The seafood pancake was also delicious, but the main star was the kimchi stew. Spicy, packed with ingredients and perfect to share with friends. My friend raved about the sweet and sour chicken fried rice and although I wasn't crazy about it, it was still good. Service was also great. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town!

The service was very good. There was a line at noon when they opened. Highly recommend making a reservation if you plan to eat here.
