The fries and tartar sauce are amazing.
..always find myself craving them! Not to mention the service is great, always friendly and ready to answer any questions or accommodate requests.
Be the first to ReplyWent here because our other restaurant had a wait.
First impression wasn't the greatest and my family and I have been born and raised here. This isn't the old Hilltop and it's sad. Their menu is on paper stapled together and the one I grabbed was dirty. It seemed very unprofessional and kind of gross. The Turkey dinner I really wanted is only served after 3pm and we went around 12:30. They charge an extra .75 automatically if you have a breakfast with eggs. I understand the recent egg costs but costs are going down and if that's the case, retype and reprint your menu with the cost included into the meal don't just write it in on the menu. People would rather see the price of their meal on the menu vs the price of their meal PLUS another up charge. My deluxe burger was very mediocre and tasteless. I ordered a salad with it which was an extra $1.50, it was good. Kids meals only came with 2 chicken strips. My 5 year old was still hungry6.99 with no drink included. The bus boy or guy who brought out our drinks when I asked if the kids meal came with drink he said "I don't think so" uh ok, you don't know?! When we left I said thank you and he said "yup." Rude. And not good customer service. Our waitress was very sweet. The ones in my group that did order breakfast were very surprised by their chicken fried steak meal. They said it was delicious. I don't think I will be back to the Hilltop unfortunately.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for breakfast.
I eat all over the local area. Consistently good breakfast is hard to find. Hilltop is one, Diamond Jims and Birch Door are the others. Keep up the good work Hilltop
Be the first to ReplyGood place to stop in for breakfast at noon.
Salisbury steak and biscuits and gravy watched down with a grapefruit mimosa.

I won't support a place that is supporting this scare tactic of a plandemic. The place was running with limited tables and couldn't keep up with very little people in the restaurant. We never got our drinks until we got our food, and we had to remind them 2 times we hadn't gotten drinks. They were out of everything the lunch and dinner menu only has very little to choose from. I got the fish and chips which was really good.
Be the first to ReplyWe used to love this place for breakfast.
We were kind of sad 2 years ago when they stopped making regular waffles, not Belgian and went to frozen chicken fried steak. But we kept going because the service was great and the rest of the food was good. But our last experience was 2 weeks ago about 11:30 for breakfast. There were about 5 or 6 tables and one waitress and one hostess. We were seated right away and given menus and water. But 20 minutes passed before the waitress came and took our order. I asked if she was the only one working and she said yes, no one wants to work anymore sarcastically. I let it go and ordered. Three or four tables came in after us, and she got their orders. Well thirty minutes later those 3 or 4 tables got their food , but where was ours. We couldn't even get her attention. We finally put $4 down for the one coffee we had and left. We will never go back. The place used to be great, I don't buy that no one wants to work stuff. If they were properly trained then the hostess should have jumped in and helped.

We are from out of town and had dinner here with my uncle and a family friend. Food was quite good, with a homemade touch. Service is what set this place apart for us tonight. We hadn't realized that mid week they close at 7 not 7:30 like we thought. We were still eating past 7:30. Despite this, our waitress was wonderful and attentive. This was especially important to me because I don't have the opportunity to see my uncle often. Thank you so much for allowing us this time! We will be more careful with watching the clock next time! Thanks again to the staff at Hilltop. Very professional.
Be the first to ReplyI love this place.
I could find what I like and my older friend who likes only American food could find what he likes always. The place is nice and clean. It's only diner food restaurant. I had German food their, I can't spell it.
Be the first to ReplyHilltop offered Thanksgiving meals Togo.
It was very good! Upon picking it up the man who I assumed was the owner was making everyone feel very welcomed, he put off great energy. The food was great. I was grateful to not have to cook this year, thank you Hilltop team for bringing the thanksgiving comforts of home cooking to my table. I appreciate you all who worked on this holiday. Cheers
Be the first to ReplyOk, I know we are in Covid times, but tonight we had a 70th
Ok, I know we are in Covid times, but tonight we had a 70th birthday dinner planned(to go) of course! As we get home at 5:35 to call the order in for 8 people, we called to place the order and they answered. Keep in mind it says they close at 7:00. So when she answered and my wife says she has an order, the gal on the phone says they decided to close early and stop taking orders at 5:30. ITS 5:40 AT THIS POINT!!!!! She says she will check, whoever she checked with, said no, "Not going to take any orders." I don't care what the food is like, would have been like, and won't know now, because I will not support this business EVER. In hard times we are told to help local and this is what we get? Well, good luck Hilltop. Maybe this kind of service is why you were not busy tonight...... Totally disappointed.
