A MUST GO TO!
WE LOVE THIS PLACE. The only downside is that it's all the way in Jackson Heights and we live in the city. Unfortunately, they won't deliver into Manhattan. Food: Whenever we come here we always get the Wai Wai Sandeko. This, in my opinion, is their signature item. I get it spicy and my husband get it's mild. The flavors are so good and well mixed. This time, we also got the cripsy tofu in a sweet and spicy sauce. The tofu was perfectly crisped and the sauce was delicious. We also got a chili potato dish and that was also well flavored. In the past, we've gotten their masala papad and we also loved that dish. I'll be honest and say I wasn't the biggest fan of their momos but everything else I've had here has met expectations or surpassed them. Disclosure: Most of the food items here are on the slightly spicy side so make sure to order mild. Prices: Prices are very reasonable especially for the portion of food. Ambiance: It's a well decorated restaurant that plays Indian music - not too loud. Service: The service here is excellent! We've been here many times and each time they remember us. The food and drinks come out quickly.
Be the first to ReplyHighly recommend to try their Garlic Naan!
We placed our orders via Uber Eat from Himalayan Yak with assigned time and the entire process went smoothly.
Our friends highly recommended us to try their Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. We also ordered the Chili Fish and signature Pork Momo Dumplings.
The food was amazingly delicious especially the Garlic Naan which was baked soft and appetizing. The Chicken Tikka Masala was rich & creamy and the Chili Fish was super tender.
However, the Pork Momo Dumplings was not our type, the wrapper was too thick and overcooked. The pork filling didnโt have good seasoning and was kind of gamy.
Customer Service is good but food are average
I am happy with customer service than their foods. And foods are expensive too. I hardly find the natural test of authentic food.

Beautiful and treadmill restaurant. Good service. We had yak dumplings, which were ok, but frankly indistinguishable from other near dumplings. The vegetable options introduced sooner interesting spices and flavors

Our family of five thought of some Nepali food today and chose to try out this restaurant at Jackson Heights. As we entered the place I had this feeling that it may not turnout to be a good experience. The girl who received us at the counter had a nonchalant expression and didn't even bother to offer a welcoming smile. Even though she saw that we had a wheelchair with us, she neither offered to help nor showed us where to put it until we asked her. The menu cards were dumped on the table by a male waiter before we had even sat down. It felt as if they were not really interested in our custom. As it was already Past 2:30 pm and we were hungry we opted for the Nepali buffet. It was a simple dal-Bhat with a limited spread of 2 veggies and 2 meat plus a noodle, dal and rice. Quite pedestrian in spread, presentation and, unfortunately, in taste too. Except for the dal, which was good, all of the dishes were quite bland. Never during the course of our meal did anyone bother to come to our table to ask us if the food was good or if we wanted to order anything else. No one came to clear the plates until we asked for the check. There were 5 other tables with people and only 2 staff - the girl at the counter and a guy. I noticed that their behavior to the other customers was no different. Not a smile on their faces!! Either they are not happy with their jobs or itโs bus as usual at this place. To add insult to injury, despite the abysmal service, they had conveniently added an 18% tip when they brought the check!! And the food wasnโt cheap either. I will never step into this place again!!!

Beautiful decor. I had the C Momo and was so flavorful. I selected the chicken. Freshly made and good service. Perfect time to talk.

I feel like Iโm inching closer to learn about Tibet and its culture as I dined at this restaurant! A Michelin star restaurant, the food is authentic and I was so happy to have opportunity to eat at this restaurant. Many local customers are either Tibetans or Nepali, and everything else - like me. LOL We ordered Momo chicken as recommended by Michelin guide. Spicy Yak and Thali with Goat, both dishes were recommended by our waitress. Thali was so delicious, it served with variety of little dips or something else, and white rice. Spicy Yak was very nice, it came with Tibetan bread, which I think was very dense and heavy as a meal. So I stick with white rice. Momo was like dumpling and not so interesting. Service was very nice. It felt a little intimidating at first for us, but everyone made it feel very relaxing to be there. We enjoyed very much. On the other note, we asked about Dalai Lama, we noticed the restaurant has his image on the wall. He is well respected and loved by Tibetans and our waitress has seen him 3 times in her life. She said one time he touched her head and gave her a blessing. I was so envious!!!!

I have been to this place twice in the last month. I went for dinners both the time and they had a live music band going on(didnt expect that).
I really loved their Thali, Momo's and a signature drink of the Sherpa's of Nepal. They has dry chilli's in the drink which is insane. I liked it.
I would definitely go here again and recommend this place for some one interested in trying something different.
Not a bad eat
Was in the neighborhood for some shopping and decided to give this place a try. Loved the entry doors. Overall this is a nice place to eat. I will definietly give this place another chance. We tried their Chili Momo and Fried Rice, Lollipop wings and Sekuwa with lamb. I loved the choices and really interested in trying some of the other dishes. Overall we enjoyed the food but I won't say anything wowed me. There is a lot on the menu. If in the area again I will give it a try, but I am interested in trying a few other places too.

After being told by many that this was a restaurant worth checking out, my wife and I came away very disappointed and confused - did we visit the restaurant on a bad day? I ordered a goat curry dish which was extremely salty and my wife had a soup that lacked flavor and seemed as though it had been poured out of a can. With many other nepalese options in the neighborhood we won't be recommending this one to our friends.
