LOVE this place.
My man and I started coming here since the first time we came for his birthday. The ambiance is amazing. Decorated nicely. Lighting is dim which always makes an evening out seem sexier or perfect for date nights. The seating is great because the tables/booths are separated just enough so you feel you have some privacy and nobody will be ear hustling your conversations. The food is amazing!!! We have zero complaints. The filets, salmon, trufflemash potatoes, asparagus, goat cheese beet salad, Caesar salad etc etc have been perfect. Love love love coming here. Very sad to hear they closed, not sure why.

Be the first to ReplyBy far the worst lunch I've had in NYC.
Not sure how you can mess up a burger but they didFries were coldWaiter had the most unenthusiastic attitudeI can't believe this place stays open in Hudson Yards as I left there after a $50 lunchAnd was so disappointed.I waited and waited and waited more.My burger came out with onion jam that I asked for it to be removed- and food was cold.Even if the food is bad if the service is great but the service was zero stars
Be the first to ReplyWent there on a Tuesday night.
Place was pretty crowded. Love the (not so) new Hudson Yards - mall is beautiful and just fun to walk through. You have to take the escalator up a few floors as this is on the 4th floor - relatively easy to find!We started with apps - calamari, shishito peppers and deviled eggs - LOVED them all! Calamari rings were so big i thought they were onion rings hahaDrinks were good as well - i had the moscow mule which i enjoyed! For entree, i ordered the shrimp and basil pasta. I didnt get much basil flavor or heat from the pasta but it was perfectly al dente! Our server, Megan, was so nice and patient as we chatted the night away. Such a joyful demeanor. Would highly recommend!

My family made a reservation to have a nice evening out in NYC Made a reservation at Hudsin Yarfs Grill. We were conple6looking forward to it but to our dismay it was an absolute disappointment! Reservation was for 6pm. We were ready to order at 7pm which was our decision. We ordered the Shrimp Cocktail abd Shishito Peppers which were pretty good. Our female server was not enthusiastic at all. Maybe she had a long night of not being invested in her job or maybe did not care to ensure to work for her earned tips The appetizers cane out within a reasonable time. Great! We were hungry. We never saw our entrees and our server was busy doing Roll-ups. At 8pm our patience had escalated to impatience, annoyance, hunger and then on our quest to find other dining options. I asked her to cancel our order. Unapologetic. No remorse. We were flabbergasted. Manager in a cowboy fedora pranced over to merely say our food is coming. No apologies . Zero !!!! We still tipped. Our awful experience could have been saved by a mere apology by server and the cowboy manager. Check was dropped. Luckily there was not a door to open because it would have hit us on the way out. Our evening ended happily at shake shack we loved it!!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere for an 8pm Friday night reservation.
I was brought here for the very first time yesterday for my birthday. The waitress definitely had a long day and didn't seem very warm, which is the reason for my deducted star. The food was great and cooked well, however I would have liked to see more of the potatoes. Overall I would definitely revisit and hope for a 5 star experience.
Be the first to Replyget outa here with this place.
610pm and they turn me down for no reservations. they tell me no walkins until 7 pm and yet restaurant at about 60% capacity. 7 empty tables in a row we counted. with their over priced burgers they turned down a $300 table. who needs it. i often wonder if corporate knows when a place is so clearly run incorrectly. and the attitude on the hostess. it is rediculous. no need to act like that no needs to speak like that with an attitude. as a new yorker, i think i might be over the hudson yards in general.

Went in 35 mins before closing and the bartender said they were closed worse customer service ever for NY restaurant. If you wanted to be closed over half hour early just post it till 3:30!!!That's not how you run a business during a holiday but typical basic mall restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyStopped in here for a quick lunch when at the mall.
I was by myself and sat at the bar. Servers were good and attentive. Food was good but only ordered a salad, fries, and the deviled eggs. But it was all delicious, loved the eggs. And a plus The mall Is beautiful at the holidays!

It's become a tradition for my job to host our company dinners here. The service and food are impeccable. A little expensive however you pay for what you get here.
Be the first to ReplyNot really sure why there are negative reviews of Hudson
Not really sure why there are negative reviews of Hudson Yards Grill. I have never had a less than excellent experience here. Yea, it is on the pricy side but fairly reasonable by Manhattan standards. The location can't be beat - remember you're in Hudson Yards Mall who's tenants include Fendi and Cartier. Do you expect to pay 10 dollars for a burger here? The charred cauliflower here is one of a kind and I would honestly come here just for that and their Brussels sprouts.

We had a group of 4 and we were able to walk in and be sat in about 20 minutes. We shared 4 appetizers and we had meat eaters to a vegan and everyone was able to find something. The espresso martini was delicious and I the chocolate martini was just ok. The Tuna Tare Tare was a little much in the cannoli and I wish it was just the tuna.
Be the first to ReplyWe had dinner reservations for 8:30.
Arrived early and went to the bar. The place was empty. After ordering drinks we were told the kitchen was closed because they had no food!!! I went to the hostess and she confirmed that. The manager then came over and said they would honor our reservation but they were not taking any walkins due to the fact they had 2 large parties early that day. We finished our drink and left because the response did not make sense to us.

Why does this place exist? Is this like a white label Ruby Tuesdays to fill up space until they find another tenant? And why would anyone want this odd location within the mall? Also, the food is so so so bad.
Be the first to ReplyCame here once for lunch and also restaurant week dinner.
For lunch, we got salads and they were good but nothing special - just your typical overpriced fancy restaurant salad. I liked the Caesar better than the chopped salad, though wish the Caesar had more toppings. For a protein, skip the chicken - it's dry, flavorless, and very rubber-like. Get the salmon, which was fine very well (medium rare). For restaurant week dinner, the food was decent - got a beet salad and burrata to start, salmon and steak for our second courses, and key lime pie and a chocolate flourless cake for dessert. Everything was pretty average; wouldn't pay full price for them. Overall, decent food but not worth the price if it's not restaurant week. They need to either get more inventive with their flavors or menu, or lower the prices.
Be the first to ReplyBottom of the restaurant list in Hudson Yards.
Truly horrible food, low quality, and difficult space. The service, however, was very good.
Be the first to ReplyService was great, food was solid.
Came here for a quick lunch, the service here was really good. Servers were so attentive! The food was standard - came with bread service and then I ordered a ceasar salad with chicken. Salad was pretty much as expected, ingredients were relatively fresh and the chicken was done well, I liked the seasoning. Portion size was good too. Was full after the meal, good casual lunch spot.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible people , arrogant, sarcastic rude and racist.
My child wasn't vaccinated , first of all lady who works whose name is Barbara , told me very rude way in front of my child that she is not allow to get inside . She is African American and I felt that hate personality against me because she doesn't like a white person. I got upset and called the manager . I told the manager that Barbara told me that my child won't eat inside the restaurant and my child heard about that which made my kid sad. When I was explaining manager situation Barbara told me arrogant way that my kid is not vaccinated end of the story and leave the restaurant . She kicked me my child and me out of the restaurant . I am vaccinated and my seven years old child because she is not vaccinated has been kicked out. Horrible place do not visit. Pretended that they are nice but they are not. P.s I will sue barbara and restaurant

I went to Hudson Yards Grill with three other people for lunch, mainly do I could order and get it written off as a business expense. So let me tell you about my experience. It was a mixed bag, good overall, and especially great because I didn't pay for it.The starters were tasty (calamari, but not crispy like I like, oysters, shrimp, and bacon), but the serving size wasn't what I expected. Each of us could only have a brief taste of each plate before it was all gone. Not really worth the price, bad value. The entrees is where this place redeemed itself. I had the NY strip steak (remember, I wasn't paying), and let me tell you the meat was so succulent that if I wasn't in a relationship, I might have married this steak. Flavorful, chewy, and a little bit of fat. Just how I like it. The potatoes that came with the dish were a good alternative when my mouth needed a break from eating the steak. My coworkers had rib eye and salmon, which were good as well. (I snuck a piece to taste when each of them went to the bathroom.) Great taste, great value. The sides of charred cauliflower, spinach, and roasted brussels sprouts were good, not great, but the price was much better than the starters, so I'll allow it.The desserts were just fine. Our table had coconut cake, chocolate torte, key lime pie, and cookies and cannoli. To be honest, none of these did anything for me (again I snuck a scoop when my coworkers were distracted), but at $10 a pop, it was acceptable.Overall, good experience. This place gets most of the points from the entrees which I cannot recommend highly enough. The starters, appetizers, and desserts pale in comparison, but if this place can pick up its game, I will become a repeat customer as long as my company keeps paying for it.I should add that this apparently is a place to be seen, especially since it is near the Vessel tourist attraction. There were two cute girls in a table across from ours who probably were from out of town, they kept taking selfies with each other. I asked the waiter to send over some dessert to their table from me. They ate it, but didn't acknowledge me, which was sad, but that's not the restaurant's fault. Plus, this desert got put on my company tab, so it didn't cost me anything.

Hudson Yards Grill is a new restaurant in Hudson Yards in the old Momofuku Kwai space. While not particularly exciting, it is a really solid New American restaurant by Michael Lamonica. Always good, always consistent. The bar is a great spot for a drink or a quick meal.

I came here with a party of 6, they couldn't seat us at one table but accommodated us to sit right across from each other. First, they gave my friend a cocktail with someone else's lipstick on it. She asked for a new drink and the server literally poured the drink into a clean glass. Didn't remake it. He came back and we asked if he could please remake the drink to which he just said oh okay sorry! Our food took a while, odd since we were the first ones seated once they opened at 4:30p but okay. Everyone's food was okay except mine -- I got the crispy chicken sandwich and the buns were burnt. Black. I tried to eat around it but it was so bad, I asked the waiter if they could remake it. By the time I had gotten my food, so much time had passed that everyone was already done with their food. I took a bite and again -- the buns were burnt and it looked like it had been scraped off when I opened it. I took out the pieces of chicken and tried to eat it, still tasting like burnt chicken. I used the avocado to try to mask the taste which didn't work much. The server never came to check in after that. They still charged us for the sandwich and the drink. This was the WORST experience I've ever had. This was the first and last time I will ever come here. 100% don't recommend.

Be the first to ReplyI visited shortly after Hudson Yards Grill re-opened in
I visited shortly after Hudson Yards Grill re-opened in fall 2021. I had been there previously (before COVID) so was interested to see if there were any differences.Even though I had a reservation, it didn't seem like I really needed one. The room wasn't as busy as it was back in 2019. But reservations are always a good idea in NYC.The food and service were as good as I remember. I had the Fried Chicken Club, which i really more of a knife-and-fork sandwich. Really, the bun is a tad too small and doesn't stand up to being a handheld entree. But that's okay - it was still a lot of food, even for one person. As things get back to something approaching normal (fingers crossed), I would still recommend making reservations at Hudson Yard Grill, rather than just being a walk-in - better to be safe than sorry.
