really good dinner
lightning inside is a nit dark but in 10 15 minutes you get used to it. We had chosed omakase( $80) which had 3 small starter, 12 sushi (comes as 3 course) 1 dessert as ice cream, 1 truffle . we also ordered medium size $20 sake. everything was good the lady and all waiters are really kind and nice. on google and other places i saw some comments that they were rude and hesitated to go but i definetely object that.
we had really interesting sushi made with monk fish liver. it was a bit salty and creamy but nice.
when you order omakase you get 1 piece from each sushi type. but if you are new to japanese cuisine and want to try something new without hurting your wallet, it is good to order ona omakase for share. it is OK for 2 people.
its a bit expensive but worth to go and try.
Outstanding Omikase
This place is a small restaurant which serves awesome and creative Japanese food. We had two $80 Omikase dinners with sake. Totally out of this world.

While most sushi bars are hit and miss when it comes to repeatable seafood quality, this was my 3rd time here and the experience is still spot on.
If you let the chef prepare your food make sure you let him know what you donโt like, then let him work his magic.
(Love the sign at the front door)
Omakase - OMG
This is an authentic Japanese restaurant. On the door is a sign "No American rolls." We went for my husband's birthday and selected the $100 Omakase meal. This means the chef decides what you will be eating. We were asked if there were any dietary restrictions and we said "no pork" - not a problem. The food was light, flavorful and a delight for the senses. First came an appetizer trio, then foie gras, then sashimi, then a salad, then conger eel in its own broth, a cooked entry of beef tongue and sea bass, then six pieces of sushi all imported fish from Japan as well as abalone from Chile and then homemade ice cream. So full - so good.

Highly recommended for those who like real sushi and don't want to compromise for cheap or adulterated selections.
After a late arrival from a long day at work, the wife's only wish was some sushi.
Ikko was open. We called, knowing we would be there just before last call.
I was extremely COMFORTED by the sign noting this place wants to stay true to its flavors and traditions.
We sat at the bar with Chef Ikko.
I couldn't have imagined a more delightful experience. We felt we were traveling to Japan and the oceans as the chef selected and created a new experience for us with each bite.
Real wasabi. Japanese fish. Seasonal offerings.
He went through the ingredients and the dishes with us... so wonderful!
Hadn't been to Ikko in a while... I've been missing out!!!!
I feel we are blessed to have places like Hamamori and Ikko right in our backyard. Alleluja!
