Mediocre
good service, slow kitchen; with the restaurant half empty, exactly 1 hour to bring out the dishes. mediocre food preparation, flavorless ribollita (with beans and cabbage?!) bland breaded pork with herbs, lamb and artichoke lasagna, a mix of flavors without harmony. Overpriced for a mediocre standard. still far from a high level....
Be the first to ReplyNew Years Eve Dinner
We had a lovely New Years Eve dinner and celebration there. Service and atmosphere were excellent and the food good. I thought the set menu was, although delicious, not too heavy and somewhat unusual. However, this was a special occasion and I look forward to returning another time for the standard menu. The location is very near the centre and just around the corner from the 'Bond Street' of Florence (Via de Tornabuoni) and a view of the Ponte Vecchio.

The risk returning to a restaurant that provides such consistent quality food, service and wines is that you’ll run out of luck. Thankfully this has never been the case in Il Borro Tuscan Bistro. The friendly, knowledgeable staff and the excellent gnudi, pork chop and dessert were perfectly accompanied by a fantastic of Il Borro. We’ll worth seeking out if you’re in Florence.

Be the first to ReplyDisappointing food, Don’t bother with this place
This is a beautiful fine dining establishment. The service was OK, the food was OK but nothing special composted to all the other amazing food options out there. I started with the beef tar tar with black truffles. How anyone manages to make truffles flavorless, I have no idea. The beef was unseasoned and was literally like eating ground beef. My second course was tasty with a fabulous sauce. I had the fish of the day and it was was slimy and tasteless. I literally spit it out in my napkin. The only bright spot in the whole meal was the most fabulous sommelier Claudia. She suggested the most fabulous wine that was the best compromise for me and my dining companion. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the extensive wine list is exceptional.
Be the first to ReplyA little wonderful oasis away from the crowds
This was a nice find. Away from the craziness, this beautifully decorated cafe is perfect from the air conditioning, food, service and section of wines. A little Tuscan oasis - highly recommended for at least an afternoon wine. Seremi is just so nice a pleasant.

Enjoyed our dinner at this classy but not pretentious restaurant along the riverfront near Tournabuoni. Pasta (primi) entrees were on the small side but that suited us as we had already enjoyed appetizers elsewhere. Good wine options. Desserts were petite in jelly jars.
