One of the best restaurants in Snowmass for an upscale
One of the best restaurants in Snowmass for an upscale dinner. The food is excellent and the venue is intimate. The pizza and pasta selections are excellent.

2024 winner! Worst Bartender in Snowmass! Remember why you are here- to offer ambiance and service. Not surly attitude. Charm school candidate.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best places to eat on Snowmass Mountain.
We come back every year when we ski. The service is always good and the food is excellent. Not much else on the mountain that you can compare it to.

Several years ago ate and it was "okay", nothing to write home about. In the past two days we've called in to get to go orders. First night was just so happened to be a prime time supper. The young lady that answered the phone let us know that they do make to go orders but it was just too busy. Okay. Maybe so. But walked by the restaurant no more than 10 minutes and they had several open tables. So, not that busy. Second time, called at 5:46, they open at 5:30, the rude young lady informed me that they were already too busy to take to go orders. Really?! Y'all just opened. Just don't believe it and will never try to get an order to go and will not ever, go to dine in. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Be the first to ReplyHave been to this restaurant several times In recent years
Have been to this restaurant several times In recent years and have experienced Decent dinners, but nothing exceptional. We only ate there because of the convenience. Was there again this year and what a Nightmare! The staff was so rude and condescending. Ted who I think is the Owner has always been a jackass and Unfriendly, still hasn't changed, just So arrogant. Avoid this place like the Plague. Drive into Aspen, many better Choices to dine without the attitude! Dale S.
Be the first to ReplyFood was good.
We ordered pizza, butternut squash soup and cavatelli. Served bread with oil, no balsamic or seasoning though. It was on the loud side, but the place is small. Need reservations for dinner. Service was very good.

Tonight, enjoyed the tuna tartar, pasta bolognese, duck entree, crรจme brรปlรฉe, and a wonderful bottle of wine. Call and make a reservation, and have a great time like I did! Homelike hospitality, in a cozy environment.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic find close to the slopes.
All handmade pasta. Great wine list. Reasonable prices unlike so many places in the area that are super overpriced. Loved it. Would definitely go back!
Be the first to ReplyA great choice for those staying at the Marriott Viewline
A great choice for those staying at the Marriott Viewline Resort Snowmass Autograph Collection. A very very short walk. Reservations are highly recommended as it is a small restaurant and will fill up quickly. I had the Burrata, Octopus salad, and the 1/2 chicken. All of it was very good. Service was excellent my water never got empty. Environment is cozy. Would recommend and will be visiting again.
Be the first to ReplyI don't like Focaccia bread but I was ready to start
I don't like Focaccia bread but I was ready to start filching it from other tables. it was delicious very light on the oil and texture delicious. we were seated in the front which means the large area as you enter so a lot of movement and families from what I could see the back area had more atmosphere and was quieter but our compensation was having Taylor as our waiter. He was great, funny , attentive but not pushy. a choice between better atmosphere and having Taylor as a waiter I'd choose Taylor. The wine pour was generous unusual in the area. The wine selection was above average. the beet salad was served with a large side of arugula-yum. The dress was quite light kind of bland. My husband had the salmon special was good . I had linguini with shrimp. it was light and flavorful. The service was great. we never felt hurried but dinner was efficientLy delivered . it was a lovely evening..

This place is located in the Snowmass Mall, only a few minute walk from the Viewline Hotel. Thankfully we were able to make last minute reservations because the place was packed on a Sunday night! So definitely make reservations in advance. Sean ordered the salmon special with a side of butter pasta and I ordered the cavatappi pasta (think fancy macaroni) with tomatoes, garlic, basil and olive oil. There was also some drama that happened at the table next to us where I believe the manager had to get involved and it seemed like he handled it very well. I would definitely come back here and try more items on the menu!

Our server was a tad slow but the food and bottle of Chianti were awesome. I had the sweet potato and goat cheese ravioli and it was excellent, we finished with Chocolate Mousse Cake.
Be the first to ReplyOk, so this might be the best pizza I've ever had.
Warm cozy ambiance. They will not let you in the door before 5:30, even if your reservation is at 5:30 and it's freezing outside. A year ago, we tried to get reservations here but the hostess wouldn't even take our phone call. Seemed to have a better experience this year. But have to admit the food is very good
Be the first to ReplyOMG Cry good.
The goatcheese/sweetpotato ravioli lives on in my dreams, and I just may go back when fam goes skiing tomorrow. The food was amazing. Bartender was friendly and very good at recommendations. Hubby got the penne and it was good too. Cheesecake was by far the best I have had in a long while. I highly recommend making the visit if you are staying at snowmass village. Great wine list as well.
Be the first to ReplyAfter reading some of the other reviews on poor service, I
After reading some of the other reviews on poor service, I have a better understanding of how we were treated this week at Il Poggio. My family has been going to Il Poggio for many, many years. In some ways, I am always a bit surprised that the restaurant still exists. In all of the years we have been visitors to Snowmass and patrons of Il Poggio, I have never really felt welcomed. But--the family likes this place so I keep going along with them. But after our most recent experience this week, I think we may be cutting this restaurant from our list of places to visit in Snowmass. Our group placed our orders, and 6 of 7 meals were served correctly. The 7th order was supposed to be the duck medallions, but instead, a pork chop was served to someone with a strong pork allergy. We let the female server who delivered the plate know that the order was wrong and the allergy issue, and she said she would get his order corrected and took the pork chop away. Our group that had been served had all nearly finished their meals, and still no entree was brought out to replace the wrongfully served and removed pork chop entree. We called our server over to let her know what happened, and all she could say was that they were really busy. Understood--the restaurant was busy. No "sorry" or apology for the mis-step.Thinking that the server didn't understand what had occurred, our family member who was still without a dinner again let the server (Lori?) know that he had not received his meal and now that everyone else was done eating, there was no reason for us to all wait longer and that she should remove the unserved entree from our bill.Unfortunately, the two magic words that could make the situation better were never spoken to us by any of the Il Poggio staff. (Magic="I'm sorry."). Was it a lack of training? A lack or caring? Servers overworked? Did our family as guests in this restaurant not matter??All excuses, but why?We were kind and calm in conveying our dismay, but at no point did the server or other person who delivered the wrong entree ever say they were sorry or try to make it right.Ambiance? Not so good when you feel unwelcome and they staff is unapologetic, and at no point did a manager come to see what occurred. Was our server scared to tell her manager or the owner of our displeasure? Perhaps. But then, "I'm sorry" would have really helped.Food? With an evening that left us feeling sad vs. satisfied, that overshadowed the need to comment on the food.
Be the first to ReplyWas lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar as no tables
Was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar as no tables were available. Ordered an espresso martini and it was fresh. For my entree I had the sweet potato and goat cheese ravioli and was surprised by how good it was. For a weird combination it was very flavorful. Portion was standard but without a thick sauce or any side was still a little hungry after. My friend had the mussels and said the flavor was great but actual mussel was a little squishy. Bartender on was okay. Service was a little on the slower side but makes sense as he was alone with the whole countertop and also making drinks for the restaurant. Just a little disappointed since I prefer a bartender who is more personable and engaging with the guest. Kind of got the impression that because I looked young he didn't think I was going to tip well but could be wrong. Overall, would definitely consider coming here if staying near the village and looking for a good meal but don't expect anything amazing.
Be the first to ReplyGreat authentic Italian food.
A nice little spot located in the heart of Snowmass village. Come with a reservation otherwise the wait can be quite long. We came with a group of 5 and were able to try a series of delightful pasta dishes as well as amazing appetizers. I loved the burrata! I ordered the ravioli - it was the prefect blend of flavors and portioned very well.

Best restaurant in Snowmass. Pork chop, veal gnocchi, plp pizza, mussels, soicy shrimp, burrata, garganelli, cheesecake - all amazing.

Love this restaurant! Such a cute ambience and food was delicious. I especially loved the trout which was a special tonight. Our server was very nice and very accommodating and nice with my allergies- they even made the pizza half no cheese! (Didn't catch his name but white guy with brown hair) Such a happy dinner experience.

Having grown up coming to Snowmass, I have no idea how I've never eaten here till my most recent visit. I've been kissing out!! My group sat in the front room. We had 5 in our party, 3 of us ordered wood fired pizzas. They were delicious! They start you off with olives and bread, all very tasty as well. I ordered a Kettle One martini and it was only $14, which I think is reasonable. Can't wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyNice atmosphere and attentive service.
The place is busy so reservations are recommended. We were all pleased with our meals and enjoyed the yummy bread offered before dinner. Nice option when in Snowmass and close to Timberline condominiums where we were staying.
