This is one of the snobbiest restaurants i have visited in NYC. I am a seasoned diner all over NYC and enjoy many excellent upscale and down to earth spots but will not return here. If you are not the privileged at this restaurant, you aren't getting any reasonably good table. 4 of us were squeezed into a tiny booth which looks more like for 2-3. The cold and unbending hostess won't give you anything better. Mind you service is excellent and friendly and waitress was truly wonderful. Drinks were pretty good. Food was hit and miss. Kale salad and crab were delicious. Eggplant was average. Duck was superb. Veggie summer rolls pretty good. Founder in curry was not bad. Dessert was ok. If any of you know Le Colonial on 57 st that shut it's doorsFew years ago, it was in some ways similar to Indochine but they rivaled Indochine is flexibility, friendly hosts and warm welcoming vibe which a Indochine lacks.
