Jacques Seafood Restaurant @ Sidetracks New Ross Reviews from The Last Year

Wonderful bar service and the food is excellent, one of the best burgers on the UES. Live music now on Thursdays too!

One of only a handful of my go tos in Yorkville and the only French one on my list. The ambience is wonderful, with a great bar area and 2 rooms of seating. Outside "cafe' seating style includes an enclosed for winter sidewalk area plus a separate (and soon to be seasonal) street hut seating. The wait staff, bartenders and maitre d are very good, friendly and accommodating. The food is very good, some traditional dishes but also a few surprises. My favorites are the lamb chops special on Fridays, the steak tartare, the tuna tartare, the burger and the branzino. Their frits are pure perfection! I can't wait to go back again this week!
Fun place for group outings.
Fun cocktail menu. Delicious appetizers. Menu offers a lot of choice. I had the hangar steak.

During my vacation in New York a friend (local New York resident) recommended Jacques. The restaurant overall had a nice ambiance and definitely would be a nice spot to eat with a date or close friends. The food was delicious. We had the escargot as an appetizer, the steak frites and dish of the day which was a bass in tarragon sauce, then we finished with crème brûlée and the chocolate soufflé. Everything to me tasted great and the wine we chose paired very well. The waiters, especially Fernando, provided us with great service and were very attentive to all our needs. I will definitely be going back.
Excellent food and service.
Highly recommend for the best French food. Very French ambience as well.
Kevin made our experience a pleasure from start to finish.
His staff were fantastic and the lunch exceptional from flavor, presentation and timing between courses. We were a party of 20. I would highly recommend. I give them 5 stars.
Great food.
Good service. Been there many times. Highly recommended. Hope to go back soon
It still has the best French Onion Soup in the UES.
But, they've completely cleaned out the staff and the place lacks any charm. Nobody speaks French. There is no welcome. It is just about getting you in to get your money. I'm sure it's more dependable and a cash cow for the owner (who also opened the very average pizza place next door). During the pandemic, we'd go here once a week but this place is no longer our favorite. I will go every few months just because I get a craving. But I'm disappointed every time.

When we walked in to this lovely French Brasserie, after a lovely day at the museums, we were transported to France! The service was great and everyone was welcoming. The ambiance is very comfortable and welcoming. We were a large party and we shared lots of appetizers. All of the food was delicious and the drinks we had were delicious. I had one of the best Cosmopolitans ever. We had the pate de campagne and oyters and Frisee Lardon to start along with mussels!! It was truly some of the best food I have had, especailly the oyster and the pate. The Mussels were very good, but not as good as the other appetizers. They were exquisite! Then most had some version of steak frites The steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were very good and the Au Poivre Sauce as well as the Bearnaise sauce were out of this world!. Others had the duck and then a fish special. All delicious! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
A bit noisy, most disappointing was the stuffing.
..a dark, weird glop. The turkey was good as were the other main courses. Service was so so. The steak was very good.
Avoid so many better choices!
Second time at Jacques in three months . Initial obversations confirmed: 1. atmosphere fits the French brasserie style well, bar is nice, 2.erratic service, a few very friendly waiters, a maitre D' who really needs to learn to be gracious, other waiters just professional, 3. food is focused on comfort-size, but too many dishes are oversimplified recipes of the original, some dishes are utter misses (Hanger steak, not even close to medium rare, pâté de campagne). food sits between average and mediocre 4. pricing is high to outrageous, how come a mussels dish can cost more than $30 is a new level! (even if mussels from Prince Edwards Island, in fact, are they?)
Great French Restaurant
We went here on Bastille Day and were not disappointed. Service was fast and efficient, and the food was excellent. I cannot recommend the escargots more!
UNFRIENDLY MAITRE ‘D
This evening my wife and I had dinner for the 30th time here, since the food is always delicious and ambiance is authentic ‘French bistro’. Little did we know that a new Maitre ‘D, whose name is Enrico was on duty. The place was no more than a quarter full and we asked for a table for three that we nearly always sit at, that has room to be comfortable for a 6 footer, and instead we were told ‘we had reservations’. After our hour+ meal, no one ever showed. In fact there were only 6 people and three empty tables containing 9 empty seats. Best of all, when we were leaving, and had requested that we speak to him as we left, he found some hiding place, so that he didn’t have to confront us. How was probably smart to do that because I had some unkind words to say to him, including that I didn’t expect him to last long!! Bye bye Enrico!!

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
