Kappo style Omakase with a different twist
Love how the chef prepared crab dishes in a different way of cooking
It was entertaining to see the chef preparing ice cream fresh from the open kitchen
Mindblowing
Absolutely fantastic!!
Every ingredient is fresh and delightful. Each dish is expertly curated by Kenta-san, and he knows exactly what each person likes.
If you’re a foodie, this is a glimpse into heaven.
Worth every dollar
Every dish was just excellent. The seasonal seafood platter was awesome and very delicious 😋
I will be back again
Wonderful Anniversary Dinner
Absolutely amazing food and service, and the chefs are so so accommodating with the anniversary dinner and served us a beautiful sharing dessert platter and sweet sake. Every course is gorgeous AND delicious.

A small provosts fining place at cuppage plaza. You may able to locate it if you haven’t been there.. you need to press the bell for them to open the door as there’s no sign outside their restaurant either. The Japanese food served was at high quality and fresh. Come with $150 - $250.. if you are uni lover and $250 being 9 courses meal with uni. The selection of sake also good with rare sake you can even find outside or in japan. Friendly chef to entertain you and very cute and friendly waitress to serve you... very enjoyable restaurant with great ambience and good food..surprise they even pack the unfinished rice in a very nice packaging to bring home.. wow!!!

We were indeed enjoying our time at Kappo Shunsui! All the ingredients are so fresh and are of the top class. All the staff there were so friendly and they tried their best to explain every single dishes patiently as well as the culture stuff behind them. The chefs were so skilled that we felt we were enjoying a show. Highly recommend, will definitely rtf!!

Everything served was really good. Probably only native Japanese can taste some deeply hidden tastes. The chef is friendly and floor staff lady is capable in serving dishes (and so cute).

Chef Nobu hails from Japan, from Tokyo’s 3-Michelin-starred Kagurazaka Ishikawa no less. It is our good fortune that he with his fine culinary skills has moved to Singapore. ‘Kappo’, literally ‘to cut and cook’, is a seasonal, multi-course meal less formal than traditional kaiseki. But the young chef here has elevated his omakase menus to rarefied heights, and at reasonable prices too (currently S$150 and S$250). The pricier menu gets you wagyu beef for the grilled course, and premium ingredients like uni, otoro, abalone. But you don’t really need them. From the appetizer, soup and sashimi to the steamed, grilled and rice items, he works magic with the simplest ingredients - and every dish beautifully presented. Only downside is the rather steep S$80 corkage if you wish to bring your own sake. And for first-timers, the restaurant can be hard to find (there is no name visible) - and you need to ring a doorbell.

The omakase was simple, non-oily but tasteful. We enjoyed each dish, no complains, very good food indeed!
