They no longer are associated with the Kissaki brand & has gone way downhill. Not worth the prices at all. Save your money.

Sorry have to write this poor review. This is NOT Japanese experience of Omakase. The staff is Chinese so they don't know. The young Chinese waiter is a rude boy with embarrassing wise crack remarks to the clients. Also trying to pick up the young girls at the sushi bar. Now for the food. It is not fresh. No flavor. no caring. Not even an explanation of what is being presented to you. I had to ask over and over again to the young man(not chef) What is this fish called??? And you could not even understand his English. Touch the sushi to eat it and the rice falls apart beneath the fish time and time again. This is not the kind of food or service experience you should receive for $200+ per person. Never again will i return. So sad.

This place is phenomenal! If you love sushi this is a must do experience. We did the 16 course tasting menu and tried all kinds of fish from Japan that were amazing and some of us had never heard of. The staff did a wonderful job explaining the origin of each fish, what made them unique, how they got them to the US and even showed us videos in the back of some shrimp, abalone, and crabs that were alive when they got here and what the indigenous to Japan ones looked like. It's very clean inside and minimalistic which adds to the experience of feeling like you're at a sushi counter in Japan. Highly recommend coming here and it's great for an occasion or just if you're interested in trying inventive and new sushi.

Chef Eric made us feel very welcome. The omakase was fresh and super tasty. He was very knowledgeable and offered to let us try some dishes we were on the fence on. Everything was delicious and the sake they recommended was amazing, better than the one I picked. This place is on par with the best sushi you can find in NYC. We will be coming back regularly.

One of the best omakase sushi bars in the US, especially given its quality and price!! The sushi chefs are always so kind and attentive. They really make you feel welcome. I've also been to the nyc location- both are great but this Greenwich location just feels more homey.
Be the first to ReplyThe Omakase lunch is great! Excellent attentive service.
Small but nicely designed and spotless space.

Fish flown in from Japan multiple times a week; fabulous service; an intimate setting. Our favorite sushi restaurant in Greenwich and Westchester county. We recommend the 16 course omakase. The assortment is always interesting and delicious. Chef Jason typically adds a few seasonal selections from Japan to keep the menu fresh. The hokkaido uni and a5 wagyu are consistently amazing. A handroll caps the meal and always a delightful surprise.Stan and the rest of the staff are warm and friendly guides on a delightful gastronomic journey. We highly recommend Kissaki and look foward to our next experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and great chef! Loved every piece.
We had a wonderful dinner. Service and food fresh.
Be the first to ReplyChef Eric was amazing and made it a very special evening.
The food and Ambiance was outstanding. We'll be back soon.
Be the first to ReplyBeen coming here for the last couple of years.
.. and tonight once again, very nice evening with the 17-course omakase. Very good sushi with generous amount of uni... the appetizers were great too... I mean we did start with toro tartare with caviar! While there are definitely options in the area, we think this is the best spot for omakase in the westchester / Greenwich area!

Two year anniversary lunch omakase at Kissaki in Greenwich today! Such a great experience as always. The lunch omakase comes with a miso soup and a bunch of edamame beans. The fish was so fresh and the chef was so friendly and explained every piece to us. Some highlights were the blue fin toro with uni, king salmon, scallop, sweet shrimp, striped jack fish, and a few more. The matcha ice cream for dessert was also delicious with graham cracker pieces as a topping. Can't wait to go back in the near future
Be the first to ReplyI had a delicious experience at Kissaki.
Highly recommend reservations and the Omakase chef selection. The appetizers at the start of the meal were unique and tasty. The fresh fish that is chosen for your meal is presented to you and then the chefs hand curate each piece of sushi right in front of you. Every time I thought I had a favorite, the next piece would quickly become top of my list! If you're in the mood to try something new with a friend, I'd highly suggest a visit to Kissaki.

Kisaki comes to us from the city.. oooh! And the Hamptons. Double oooh! So no matter what poultry offerings they give us we are all supposed to agree that this is an amazing experience. Well it is not. So many better Japanese Restaurants to choose from. I tried the Uni Sundae which was basically a teacup size poke bowl ($65).

We came to the restaurant to try their Omakase during our vacation here. They were very accommodating since I found out that their Omakase usually requires advance notice. So we ended up ordering three different types of Maki rolls.I liked the Sake-Cu very much. The salmon was fresh and the goma-ae added a nice crunch. The spicy tuna and avocado in Maguro Mama roll were the best ever. The tuna was fresh as was the avocado. The Sandy was also very good. Fresh otoro and uni, with cucumber and avocado. The quality of the rice was also very high! Each piece was meticulously made and so authentic. The pieces were big and loaded with filling.I didn't regret anything, it was an amazing evening! I loved exploring flavours. The presentation was beautiful. And also now we have a great opportunity to come back and try Omakase! The serivce in general was amazing!
Be the first to ReplyThis place had everything we needed.
The staff was friendly even though they were busy. I had to wait a bit for food, but then again, it was a busy night. The place was clean and cozy. The food was excellent! The Sandy roll was filled with 2 types of fish - Otoro and Uni with the addition of kanpyo, rakkyo, and avocado with cucumber, topped with ikura. Super delicious! Sake Maki had very rich salmon tartare and there was not too much rice as well. Filling and flavorful. I like to taste the fish itself as much as possible. Everything was in balance. It was a good evening. I really enjoyed dinner. Oh, and when you're eating sushi, we can't forget the sake. Wow! It made my stomach happy. Didn't feel overpriced at all, which i appreciated. I can recommend this place.

Worth checking out! I've tried sushi from many places but here the chef knows how to innovate and make them special, enlarging boundaries of traditions and adding something special.I love the 16-course omakase (my best was the tuna with shiitake mushrooms and toasted almond): clorful, fresh and tasty, it pleases not only the stomach but also your eyes and as we know, the human mostly loves with eyes first heh. I found the Greenwich spot cozier than in Bowery, the atmosphere just like at home.
Be the first to ReplyWe are so excited to go back and try other things.
What an incredible experience hosted by Kissaki and Head Chef Julia. She was absolutely amazing. Couldn't speak highly enough about Chef Julia. Every dish was meticulously made and delicious. There was not 1 thing we could complain about. The atmosphere is eloquent and intimate. It allows your to appreciate the experience. The appetizer dishes we had we very very tasty with different textures in your mouth which was quite the mouthful! My friends I invited were worried we would be starving after this meal but that's not how it works. This meal is designed to fill you and be completely content by the end of the meal. The nigiri was insanely fresh and very tasty. Everything about this meal was spot on! Thank you Kissaki and thank you Chef!!!!

What an amazing experience and so far the best sushi I've ever tasted! All the different types of fish and cuts you'll taste during the menu is unbelievable. I really enjoyed the evening at Kissaki and to experience Chef's passion for the work and how skilled he is. It's clearly to see it's a former world champion in sushi.Great spot to spend time with the closest ones. Highly recommended! Superb service as well. Thanks KIssaki.

Love this spot for date night or a fun occasion! I've been about 3 times and each time was delicious. Each time was actually better than the last so they're consistent! Every piece was fresh and an explosion of flavor. Being a repeat customer didn't get boring either, each time was different. The chef was accommodating and very kind. The space is very small yet swanky, cute wallpaper! Cocktails are great too. Sake is solid.I've had Omakase many times, mostly in NYC (I believe they have a location there too) and this hold up! Such a great addition to greenwich and so cool that they do takeout or as I like to call it, "homeakase" ย very COVID friendly.
Be the first to ReplyWe ordered dinner for $326 last night and it never came.
They refused to replace it or provide a credit. They said the gave it to a delivery service so they were not responsible. I ordered on their site and their was no mention of a third party. If I had ordered from a third party I would have gotten a refund. They did nothing and did not even follow up with me. BUYER BEWARE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEYThis is unethical and a stupid business practice since I order from them at least twice per month
Be the first to ReplyWe came for the NYE dinner and midnight toast.
We love omakase and have dined at a few finer establishments. We had high expectations for Kissaki. The 6 appetizers all had caviar however taste and textureS were just mediocre. Trying too hard to impress but really you are just paying for the caviar. Nigiris are good. This is what the 2 stars are for. 2 disappointments for the night. 1) We had specifically notified through Resy that my husband has shellfish allergy, and also mentioned it to the staff upon arrival. However first course came with oyster for both. Major fail. They apologized and corrected right away. For a restaurant this level this is a major fail. 2) I had called the restaurant earlier and left a message, also DM'ed their Instagram mentioning it's my husband's 40th milestone birthday. I am willing to pay extra for some special arrangement if available. We ended up getting a candle next to the last course dessert. And this is also after reminding the staff twice after we seated. I wasn't really looking for same level service as Per Se, EMP or Masa. I thought they'd make more effort for the special occasion like this. Overall food is okay. Experience did not meet expectation.
Be the first to ReplyWe visited Kissaki last night for our first omakase
We visited Kissaki last night for our first omakase experience, and we were very impressed! We sat at the counter and chose the 13 course omakase, as well as one of their signature sake flights. Everything that we had was so fresh and flavorful, and it was impressive to watch the chef make the nigiri right in front of us. We tried a lot of new seafood, and it was a great way to break out of our comfort zone. The staff was very professional and attentive, and we appreciated the intimate vibe there. I will be sure to recommend Kissaki to my friends!
Be the first to ReplyWe have had a lovely dinner yesterday.
Meticulously executed meal with flawless service - really, everything was great. Good pace after each of the courses, flavors were outstanding and the quality of the seafood was amazing. Well done! We will come back and will recommend the restaurant to anybody who loves good Japanese food.

Super cute place, def has the NYC vibe but I wouldn't go back! The sushi was delicious and very fresh however, not worth the prices they charge. We ordered the 10 course sushi for $95 (x2) and after we ate the sushi (right before dessert) we asked "where is the rest of it" and we were told that's it as they count every sushi (total of 6) as a course so it's not actually 10 courses, more like 4 ย needless to say we were hungry after sitting there for 2 hours.
