Excellent on everything
Succulent dishes. Delicious wines. Very attentive staff. Very pretty decoration. Good value for money for a 1 star restaurant.

There is a reason this place has a Michelin Star - our meal was fantastic and the wine pairings were perfect. Service is impeccable as you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. I absolutely love this place!
Be the first to ReplyAn expensive disappointment
The visit to La Degustation was a definite disappointment. For several reasons. The dishes in the five-course menu we were served were tasty and well-prepared, but were a little too ordinary and absolutely no surprises. In addition, the dishes are served far too quickly one after the other, and some of the dishes were also not served hot enough. The worst experience, however, was the choice of the restaurant's wine menu to accompany the dishes. The wine menu costs 1750 CZK per person and for this amount you get a very small glass of wine with each course. There is, I managed to find out, the possibility of getting an extra glass, but this possibility exists more or less only theoretically. The waiters, who are otherwise very active in pouring water into the glasses (you pay extra for that), do not come past your table until they have to pour wine for the next course. So a bad experience at an expensive price and a clear disappointment. If you still want to visit the restaurant, stay away from the restaurant's wine menu and order a good bottle of wine instead. There are many quality restaurants without a Michelin star in Prague, where you can have a really good dinner with good wine for a third of the price. Definitely my only and last visit to La Degustation.

La Degustation Boheme Bourgeoise. (@ladegustationbohemebourgeoise) is an one Michelin Star restaurant in #prague. I am astounded at the perfection, and the super efficiency with which the entire kitchen staff works. Most of the time the chefs were standing around, hands folded, chatting with one another. At the precise moment of each course everyone kicks into action and assemble the ingredients quickly and then presents them to the diners. And at 2450CZK ($105) for a five course meal, with three amuse bouche appetizers, and three amuse bouche desserts, this is the most inexpensive Michelin Star restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of worldwide.

This is a Michelin mistake!!! Very, very poor chef's performance. I felt like the chef was making bad quality contemporary art!!! Poor...
Be the first to ReplyExquisite tasting menu for a special dinner
The tasting menu was exceptional - inventive flavour combinations worked every time. The wine pairing was spot on. The service was also 10/10 - we felt very looked after. Would highly recommend for a special dinner.
Be the first to ReplyAs you’d expect from a Michelin star restaurant
We came as a treat for lunch and opted for the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. There were a couple of courses that scared me, but I think you have to leave your perceived dislikes at the door of somewhere like this and at least try some new things. I’m glad I did! Every course was visually beautiful, and even the ‘scary’ catfish course was a pleasure to eat. I’m certainly not a wine connoisseur, but could appreciate how the choice of wines elevated the already fantastic flavours of the food. The staff were as attentive and knowledgeable as you’d hope at this level, and I enjoyed being able to see the kitchen - I was amazed by how calm, focused and disciplined it was. Obviously, the portions were small (it was a taster menu) but there was enough to fuel our next few hours of sightseeing.

The food was amazing ! I went there for a dinner with my boyfriend and we enjoyed the evening so much, we will definitely come back. The service was amazing.
Be the first to ReplyAn outstanding restaurant and experience
This is an outstanding restaurant. Excellent food, patiently explained with wonderfully attentive and discreet staff. We were lucky to have a table beside the kitchen so we could observe our dishes being created. This was without question one of the best meals and experiences we have ever had.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing meal and excellent value for money!
We visited this restaurant on our first night in Prague as it was right next to our hotel! It was a completely perfect experience from start to finish, interior is beautiful and the service from the staff was faultless. Dishes were creative but tasted amazing and the wine list was extensive but we enjoyed trying some local wines. Thank you for a lovely start to our trip!

What an incredible opportunity to dine here! We are a family of all ages and the staff was very gracious with our young son. The food and wine pairing were excellent and we all enjoyed each of the pairings on the tasting menu. Truly an outstanding experience.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous evening, great service and food
Visited with friends and from arrival to departure we all had a great evening. Food was exceptional and our paired wines were matched well and enjoyed by all. Waiting staff were friendly and helpful with their descriptions of the various courses and the wines. Price high for Prague but low for a Michelin quality restaurant in Europe, would absolutely visit again when returning to Prague.

I booked a reservation here for dinner partly because it is a one-star rating but also because it's hours fit in with our schedule (when we were there in February, 2023 it was open on a Monday night when SO many places were not). We don't ever say that a restaurant was our favorite ever simply because we have been fortunate to experience so many amazing restaurants. Instead, we declare a restaurant to be in our Pantheon of greatest restaurants ... and this restaurant definitely qualified. From the moment we entered, their staff started taking EXCELLENT care of us, not treating us like a couple of American tourists but rather as locals who dined there all of the time. Yes, we paid for everything that they offered us (it was never hinted that our drinks would be offered to us gratis) but it didn't matter - they realized we were interested in tasting local drinks and shared a wide array Czech spirits. The meal was amazing as was the array of wines that they had paired with the courses (mostly Czech wines that, save one, were PERFECT pairings). How good? Well, the course with the trout was so mouth-wateringly hedonistic that I actually forgot I had wine to go with it! And EACH course was equally delicious! If you are a foodie, this is definitely a restaurant you need to try ... we were texting friends back in the States with updates on each course and they were ready to hop an airplane to PRG!

Really nice high end restaurant that was accommodating to gluten free diet. Everything was tasty but there was no wine list with prices on it.

Very good wine pairings but the food was not as we expected. Maybe a bit more imagination in the presentation would do the difference Also flavours where flat The staff friendly and professional
Be the first to ReplyNice Dinner
We marked this place before our trip because we heard a lot about the place and we had a nice dinner. To ve honest we couldn't say that we tasted a memorable dish from the degustation but overall the food quality was good. Most dishes were well prepared and tasty.. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great tough. Good choice forfine dining in Prague anyway.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional meal
This restaurant very much lived up to its Michelin Star rating. We had a tasting menu - each of the five courses included, plus two bonus courses were fantastic. We had a medley of small bites, including beef tartare, to start, followed by creamy cheese and truffle, catfish, duck, fallow deer, ice cream and dried apple with cinnamon dressing to finish. The accompanying sauces and flavours were spot on, as was the service. We also enjoyed a delicious glass of Czech red wine each. It was also great to be able to see the chefs at work in the open kitchen. At around 3,000 CZK per head , including taxes, it was well worth the money. A strong recommendation.
Be the first to ReplyGood but not sure if it's worth a star
This is a nice, modern restaurant in Prague old town. It has 5 course set menu with a wine or juice pairing. In addition there was amuse bouche and an extra desert (however, not petit fours). Appetizers were very good. Duck was perfect but lamb sticky. Obviously it was cooked (sous vide) in too low temperature (or air in the bag). Espresso was not available but americano was (how is this possible?). Mint tea was good. Service was professional, efficient and friendly. Obviously this is a very good restaurant, but I'm not sure if it's worth a star.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful food, pay attention to the trap of the wine pairing
This is really worth a Michelin star. It's not cheap, but it's damned good. Service also perfect. But be aware of the wine pairing. At the price of 72 euros plus service charge, it's very expensive. But at all, that was not the worst. Be prepared not to have the possibility to taste the wines. Know that you will have 40% of the wines from another, cheaper country. You go to a Michelin starred restaurant in Czech Republic to try wines of Hungary of Georgia? And be prepared to receive wines (at least I tried two before I canceled the pairing) that don't impress and they'll serve you a minimalistic quantity. You can laugh at it, but my partner (who just choosed individual wines by the glass) was served the same quality to taste, as I (who did not have even the possibility to taste) was served to drink. Better to choose a good bottle, like we did eventually. Wine pairing can always be tricky, but this was horrible.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited
Please see my other reviews - I’ve visited hundreds of places, including Michelin star restaurants. I was slightly sceptic about this restaurant but luckily from the welcome all the way to the end everything was faultless. Unbelievably good food, technically perfectly presented. Service is impeccable and not at all too intrusive. Flavour profiles are spot on and also provide some surprises. Expect good cooking along with good service - a perfect meal!
Be the first to ReplyCute venue, new flavours
As a foodie and a frequent restaurant-goer it's quite a rare occasion that I get to taste something completely new. This restaurant succeeded in that! Soft pork with a thin pasta sheet on top was my favourite. I've been sampling non-alcoholic beverage pairings and they're usually disappointing. La Degustation nailed this as well; wonderful drinks that complemented the dishes beautifully.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointingly Average
My wife and I both had the vegetarian menus. The evening started off well with strong appetizers (especially the golden beet) and there was a well thought out selection of matching non-alcoholic drinks throughout the meal. The mushroom-based main course was good but nothing too exciting (have had many similar dishes for a much lower price tag). The desserts were very underwhelming in of themselves but particularly for a one Michelin-starred restaurant, as both dessert dishes were very boring. They had minimal treatment with the only exception being an ice cream which we both didn’t like. The other was a bowl with a very poor ratio of blueberries to condiments. In terms of service, the welcome was good as the team was aware of our dietary preferences. Most of the team were very attentive but not intrusive. However, we noticed that the main member of staff attending to our table was not as friendly as the rest, barely even cracking a smile and his pace of service gave us the vibe that he just wanted to get over with our table. When he brought the check at the end of the meal, he dumped it in front of me and left without saying a word (he didn’t even make eye contact). I understand that some people may have a rough day at work (I know I have) but when we’re paying a bill of this size, it is natural to expect a little bit more effort to act friendly for a few minutes even if you don’t feel like it in the moment; it would’ve certainly added to the experience. All-in-all, based on our personal experience, we wouldn’t recommend this restaurant as it does not offer what it demands for price.
Be the first to ReplyFine Czech dining with nice atmosphere
Overall, this 5-course diner is up to the 1 Michelin star expectations: it's local and various in taste and textures, even the vegetarian option. The restaurant is also well located in the center of the city, and has a modern design and atmosphere. I'm rating 4/5 because of the wine pairing : it is highly disappointing (mediocre wines in the selection - for example Georgian white wine made out of kisi grapes) and pricy. Go for bottles or glasses of your own taste should you visit the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyThere are much better restaurants in Prague. I don't recommend it.
In each trip for the last evening, we are choosing a Michellin restaurant dinner. This trip to Prague was no exception. During this week we have been visiting restaurants with no star, but recommended by Michelin, at it were surprising in a good way, but this time as suppose to be the best experience, La degustacion resutaurant disappointed us, We took a tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was ok, the wine pairing was ok, but everything is overpriced! The most disapointed thing was the attidute of waiter and sommelier. They didnt wait any answer from clients, were talking and explaining what they learn, were in a rush. We felt like in a mass production factory, why. The culmination happened when we refused coffee and it was brought to us and again the waiter told us about coffee his text and run. Wait wait? we didnt order! To sum up from our experience this restaurant not worthy any star.

This is a one-Michelin star restaurant and it lived up to its star. The place is well-located in Prague. Easy walk from our hotel. Excellent service. The sommelier picked a great red wine for us. The dinner was delicious and the service attentive. Highly recommended! A+!
