The pizza was so good! We also split the bolognese which was good, but came out cold. The chopped salad was very different, but so good! When I asked for a second glass of Sauvignon blanc, my glass was refilled with one of the orange wines, but it was good so I didn't really mind.

Leo's a lively hub for any type of gathering. They offer great foods, great drinks and a great atmosphere. The staff there is impeccable. I have nothing but praise and please keep doing what you're doing.

This place was recommended by a friend and we loved their Pizza squares. Ordered them for a birthday party. Their margherita and Papa Madre(potato) pizza squares, Both were great!! Their Hill pie is good too. All pies and squares are good for a group. Squares are defo bigger then pies. Would defo order or take out from here again.

Leo is absolutely delightful! This East Williamsburg gem has spacious seating, wonderful staff, and incredible food. It was such a positive experience from the moment I walked in the door! Some highlights were the steak and the NY Slice Pie. The atmosphere and vibes were extremely pleasant, and I cannot wait for my next visit!

When your wine list is 30X larger than your dinner menu, there's going to be some issues. Selling sancerre by the bottle while having three options for pasta, one of them spaghetti, is pretty disappointing as a guest. Our waiter, who had to have us point at which wines we wanted not even seemingly familiar with the list, seemed to want to rush us on a Monday night continually checking if I wanted to order more and I found myself irritated because i'm a slow eater and it was my friend's birthday and wanted to enjoy the meal but sadly couldn't. The pizza was okay, but nothing special especially for williambsurg. The oysters were alright. Even though we had a reservation for three we were sat at a table only big enough for two and were, of course, crammed in next to all the other tables. This was certainly the worst dining experience I've had in the city for a very long while. Will not be revisiting.
Be the first to ReplyOverall the food was fine, service had a lot of bumps.
Ops impressed me more in the pizza realm. Restaurant was comfortably full (not packed by any means, but not empty). Decor is nice and the space feels spacious enough with natural light throughout. Service just seemed off for whatever reason. Firstly, never received our starter for the table (was removed from the bill without issue). Skip the espresso martini, it was not good sadly. Main dishes came out so sporadically, everyone at our table was eating at completely different paces so their food wouldnt get cold. First came the 2 burgers, then somewhere between 5-10 minutes later the next dish came out: 1 pancake. Another 10 mins passed until the final 3 pies arrived. No idea what happened there, but our server was apologetic and offered us free dessert. Pizza was generally good, nothing mind-blowing - we ordered the Margherita, Clam pie, and The Hill. The more topping-heavy pizza (The Hill) was a bit floppy/soggy at the center, and IMO went a bit overboard with the arugula. Pancake was perfect. Would give Leo another try, as our server was very kind and apologetic, but not necessarily rushing to return.
Be the first to ReplyThe best pizza in nyc and Thats saying a lot.
Great staff & service. Beautiful place and crazy good thin crust pizza. Restaurant owners go here just to see how it's done right.
Be the first to Replyloved this little spot.
yummy foods & wine and it was the perfect kinda busy for a sunday night. It was sexy & cool. double check on the caesar salad with mounds of parmesan and our awesome waiter! *chefs kiss*
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal (very late) brunch.
Saturday at 1pm and we got seated as a party of two right away - though it was tight between tables (not much elbow room but hey it's valuable real estate). Absolutely the best pancake I've had in ny. Can't bump this down to a 4 even tho the coffee is meh and the seating is cramped - the food is too good

Quite possibly the best pizza I've had in NYC! The NY pie was out of this world. So flavorful and filling. Also the pancake - the best I've had in NYC as well. Definitely a spot for brunch you don't want to miss.

I was recommended to this restaurant by a friend who mentioned they had great Italian food.We have an appetizers that was very simple, focaccia and Ricotta. It was good.We also ordered a Margarita Pizza that was good. We had two pastas, once with bolognese and the other one with Casio e Pepe. They were good, but very very salty. We also order French fries that arrived after we were finished. We order a bottle of white wine from Spain.... The wine tasted like vinegar.... We couldn't drink it...I spend close to $300 on a meal/experience that was very disappointing. I mentioned all to the server who was clueless as to what to do.... No big deal.... I will never be back....

This place is a joke. Their small "artisanal" pizzas have about a teaspoon of sauce and 2 clams or pieces of pepperoni if you're lucky. You're mostly eating chewy flour dusted dough. Never regretted dropping $100 on crap more in my life. One star for the Caesar salad which was tasty albeit overly dressed and watery. Even the server at this ridiculous trendy Williamsburg joint couldn't have appeared more bored
Be the first to ReplyLeo is quite good.
I love Ops and don't think Leo pizza is at Ops level plus you pay for more here. Service and vibe aren't Ops level either but still good. The butter beans and tagliatelle (felt more like paparadelle) bolognese were killer. Clam pizza was very good. Some bites incredible. But the pizza crust didn't wow me. The soft serve swirl of salted caramel and a blood orange sorbet did wow me. Very good spot. For pizza you're better at Ops but for a lil pizza plus apps and pasta go here. Just eat at both regularly. Craving the bolognese and soft serve plus an Ops margarita

We came here for Valentine's dinner and had such a lovely time! It seems to be a great date spot because it can be casual but a little more upscale. We started off with the chopped salad and it was such a hit for us. Loved the shaved cheese and the all the additions. We shared the NY slice pie and it had a little kick and we were pretty full with just two slices each and it was large enough pie that we had leftovers. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the dessert. We got the salty caramel and blood orange soft serve. I really thought the flavors here sounded promising but I just did not enjoy it. Beautiful looking dessert though. Didn't realize they also have a slice shop so would definitely want to go and come back.

I've been coming here A-L-O-T for the longest past 3 years both the slice shop and the restaurant and it never let me down. From the Pizza to the pasta to the incredible tiramisu and insane sandwiches!! Everything is absolutely amazing!!!Felt like leaving a review after I finished my beautiful BEC bagel (the best I have ever had).P.s Didn't had time to take a photo because I inhaled my bagel so you have my empty plate photo

This restaurant reminds me of a classic w village Italian spot dropped into williamsburg. Delicious sourdough pizza and apps + incredibly informative and helpful staff for choosing wine. A great spot for a small group but it does get pretty loud, at some points it was hard to hear my friends even though we were sitting very close to each other. It is a little more on the expensive side, our total for two apps, two pies, a cheaper bottle of wine and their soft service (highly recommend) was about $180. Great spot overall! Can't wait to go back!

My friend and I walked into this restaurant on a slow Sunday evening and asked for a table for two. The hostess quickly sat us down and provided us with water. Patrons were there dining but it wasn't crowded nor did it seem busy. My friend and I reviewed the menu and waited close to 30 mins without a server or any staff for that manner checking on us to see if we were ready to place our order even though our body language clearly displayed that we were ready. Instead the staff congregated at the front where the hostess was chit chatting about God knows what. It seemed evident that either they were not attentive to their guests or they were not in the mood to provide service to the only two black people in their establishment. Either way after 30 minutes of no service on a slow night my friend and I left. We have ZERO intentions of returning and I plan to post my review of this place on every possible platform.*Since water, poor service and the menu were the only things served I'll just post a photo of the menu. Thanks for the water! Do better Leo!

Cute spot in Brooklyn perfect for group of anyone wanting to enjoy some pizza! The menu is limited to pizza but it's ok because it's what they do well! Even for brunch it's the same menu - there is a little cafe part next door that has coffee and bagels and baked goods but you can't order anything besides the coffee drinks when you sit at the restaurant. This place is perfect for sharing! We started with the ricotta and focaccia which had a nice balsamic glaze on top that added a hint of sweetness to the ricotta. They will make the Cesar salad without anchovies for those who want! The breadcrumbs on top were a perfect crunch without being a heavy and big crouton! I liked the mix of lettuce as well! For the pizza we split the special which was a white pizza with spicy sausage! I think this is the special a lot and I can see why! It was tasty and with the added chili oil they bring out it was a perfect spicy addition! Overall it's a small menu but they make great food! The outdoor area was good for a nice sunny day with lots of tables!

I didn't realize how good sour dough pizza would be until coming here! Definitely worth a visit! Food: I've come here a few times! This time I ordered the pomodorino and the broccolini! The broccolini was really flavorful! The pomodorino is definitely my favorite pizza here because all the veggies really compliment the sour dough! Ambience: there's a casual spot, where you can get slices and a nicer sit down spot, so depending on what you are in the mood for and how much time you have, this place is good for everyonePrice: reasonable pizza prices And good qualityService: attentive service
Be the first to ReplyThe pizzas were good.
However we ordered the meatballs and they were room temperature. Could not enjoy it. Not sure if we will go back again.

I came here with friends for breakfast/lunch and didn't have a hard time getting seated. Pizza and pasta was good but not amazing. The breakfast sandwiches are just ok and should be seasoned a bit more! I've heard the drinks are super good and the dessert as well, so I think I will revisit for a post dinner visit!
Be the first to ReplyWe had been to Leo twice.
Last time, they have a pop-up where we did Not end up eating any their menu. But this is now the time we actually tried their menu. Food: order pizza, meatball. WowI love the dough. It's pretty good flavor n not soggy at all. The only thing is that you have to be patient for their pizza. It does actually take a while. But the pizza is absolutely worth the wait.

On the surface this place looks super cute which is why is why I was super bummed that it has probably the worst margarita pizza I've ever had in New York City. I was super excited to try this place but ended up waiting over 30 minutes for a very bland slice of pizza. The Sauce was tasteless, cheese was stringy, and I truly think I've had better pizza at a 99 cent shop. Save yourself the time, money, and mouth burns and just go to l'industrie down the street. It's 1000x better

tl;dr the chic atmosphere of this pizzeria alludes to its premium slices with stellar sourdough crustsOpened by Mike Fadem and Gavin Compton (the team responsible for Ops) in 2019, Leo is a neighborhood wine bar well-regarded for their naturally leavened Neopolitan-style pizzas. But if you're looking for a cheaper eat, Leo also runs a sophisticated slice shop in the adjacent storefront, open during normal restaurant hours. With whitewashed wooden floors and exposed brick walls, 2-seater marble tables lining the perimeter, and slices served on posh porcelain dishware, Leo's bakery feels more luxe than peer pizza joints. Contemporary R&B mixes with friendly, yet pretentious staff members' humblebrag conversations.I swung by for an early weekday dinner, and I was able to order immediately. I opted for 2 slices: the Margherita and the Pepperoni. Immediately, I was struck by the excellent, naturally-leavened sourdough cust: thin in the middle and poofy at the edge, it was flavorful enough to enjoy even sans toppings. The margherita slice sported a slightly sweet red sauce and deliciously fresh mozzarella finished with a salty sprinkle of parm. While the flavors were a success, Leo was slightly skimpy on all its toppings, such that I found myself searching for a complete bite. Most notably I was bummed that only a single small leaf of fresh basil ended up on my slice. The margherita was therefore elevated by the addition of plentiful pepperoni rings. The crust slowly began to infuse with (nonetheless, held up well against) the pepperoni grease, ensuring richly spiced notes with each bite. The $10 I wagered on these slices felt like money well-spent. If I find myself planning a more-formal, sit-down pizza dinner, I'll be sure to keep Leo in mind -- but until then, I will "settle" for their sophisticated slices.
