We had lunch reservations for a party of two; and we were initially seated in the atrium. Being late June, it was a bit warm given we were wearing business attire. At our request, we were graciously moved to the main dining area without any fuss. The main dining area had larger, Asian style round tables with plenty of space between tables. So, we could see that evenings could be equally pleasant and not feel too crowded. The interior of the main dining room could easily have been inside the Raffles Hôtel in Singapore: dark woods, cieling frescoes reminiscent of tropical environs. The "Cav" had a huge selection...modern mechanism with à great selection of wines, with à wall and an entire, climate-controlled room. The wine menu was a book about as big as an ancient Bible. Fortunately, there was a slimmed-down version included with the lunch menu. We had a choice of à tasting menu, prix-fixe, or a-la-carte. We chose the set méal which offered two choices each of an entrée, platte, & dessert or cheese plate w/salade. ....but first we were served "complimentary" appetizers. Subsequently we continued with green asparagus from Provence, served warm. Our main dish was a tender pork side cut overlaid with white asparagus and drizzled with à réduction sauce. One of us ordered the cheese plate and I ordered the dessert which was a coffee ice cream over à pastry crumble covered with à mousse....and finished with the obligatory expresso. Service was perfect, unrushed, and unpretencious. Tablecloths were brushed/scrapped clean between courses and utensils and plates replaced. The prix-fixe lunch is the best deal in town as dinner reservations can be difficult to obtain and can be expensive. Michelin Guide rated, one star. Beautiful interoir, full bar, amazing wine selection, créative and delicious food with impeccable service. English and French spoken. Child-friendly at lunch-time. Lunch and dinner hard-close at 4:30 pm and 12:30 à.m. respectively. You will esdentially be kicked-out so the place can prep for dinner or for employées to get some sleep. Snag à dinner reservation if you can. Proper attire required - business casual minimum. Don't be that guy with a man, hair-bun who gets turned away.
Be the first to ReplyI'm a wine maker in Italy and went there with friends.
The food was ok and given the price and all the fanfare I would say it's pretty mediocre. We ordered 3 bottles of expensive wines (north of 300 euros each). One of the bottles was clearly corked and oxidized and the sommelier refused to accept that. Kept saying things that made no sense as to why the wine was tasting off. Among 4 people at the table nobody liked the wine and hardly drank any of it. Long story short he proceeded with charging us for the bad bottle. Short sighted and downright a stupid way of treating a customer. There was no point in further arguing because I didn't want to embarrass my guests. And I would not go back obviously because of this unpleasant episode but also because all and all it's a typical pumped up French restaurant with no substance and huge prices. Please send your "sommelier" back to sommelier school and while you are at it also send him to ethics school!

Amazing experience as a solo diner! Reservations are easy to make on their website and plentiful. I scored one only a couple of days in advance. The space is absolutely gorgeous, with huge windows and skylights that look out onto an inner courtyard, sort of like you're in a greenhouse. The staff were impeccable from beginning to end, and I never felt like I was treated worse because I was alone or because I only got the lunch menu and a glass of wine. Everyone was friendly and professional. The food was fantastic, exactly what I would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. Creative, perfectly cooked/executed, and filling. I particularly liked the attention paid to the amuse bouche and dessert, since sometimes those things are a little bland, but in my case, they were the highlights of the meal!Exceptionally reasonably priced, too. Lunch sets are an absolute steal in Paris. I will definitely be back on my next trip.
Be the first to ReplyThe complexity of some dishes were mesmerizing.
The tasting menu was worth splurging on. The ambiance is about the old world charm. Very elegant. The waiters were not as friendly as the other Michelin restaurants we have eaten at. Not as attentive. Nor were they warm and friendly. Their attitude fits the decor.

It was my first Michelin Star dining experience, and so in a way, I have nothing to compare it to. That being said, it was exceptional. One of the greatest experiences of my life, both in a foodie sense and a ~human living on this planet~ sense. I loved the room we got to sit in, a little airy and bright in contrast with the front room which feels very heavy and dramatic. I loved our server, server assistant, som, and the fellow guests at the restaurant (nothing ruins a great meal, like annoying people at the table next to you). I loved how large our table for 2 was. It never felt crowded and the dishes were synced up so well that there was never too much on the table. It's almost like they are professionals ;) We chose this restaurant because it is known for its Burgundy Wines, and so naturally this is where we started. Ultimately we decided to order a la carte, instead of going with the tasting menu. But, it was cool to see that the tasting menu is available without pre-ordering. The highlights of the meal were without a doubt the amuse-bouche and starters. Even the bread was miraculous, mostly because of the perfectly salted butter. If you are eager to go here, definitely book a reservation. If you would like to sit in the darker room, plan your reservation later in the evening or request it specifically. Plan to spend at least 2 to 3 hours, even if you don't order dessert. This whole restaurant feels like a dream.

We all had high expectations after referral. We all left disappointed in a meal from a Michelin star rated restaurant. The service was fantastic, sommelier and wines were excellent, but the food was a bad experience. There was theme of frozen dishes throughout the pre planned meal which seemed strange for wintertime. Some dishes seemed simply wrong, were nauseating, and we did not care to finish. We left the restaurant unsatisfied, disappointed , and without several hundred dollars. We have never had a poor experience with Michelin star restaurant, but now I'm hesitant to trust the system and it's reputation.Bread - 3/5Appetizer trio 3/5Egg and mushroom dish - 3/5Seafood ice cream - 0/5Sea bass - 1/5Frozen cheese - 0/5Venison steak - 3/5Pear ice cream - 3/5Wines - 5/5Service - 5/5Ambiance - 5/5

I visited here lunchtime some weekend, after 2 hours trip on Eurostar. Atmosphere and decor inside were really nice. Wine I selected was not so impressive. Course was quite traditional, nothing fresh but taste good. Considering prices, this place is not worth higher than 4 stars here.

Best quality ingredients served at Les Climats matched equally by top notch service and attention to detail. Reserve a table in the conservatory or garden terrace for a memorable experience. -- Highlights: bluefin tuna entree on a corn cracker with guacamole style avocado topped with fresh sorrel and the main of seafood from Brittany coast with spring vegetables and broth seasoned with herbs and pesto. My friend ordered the roasted breast fillet with whelks and seaweed hollandaise sauce that was so flavorful.-- 45Euros for the 3 course lunch menu plus amuse bouche and petits fours. They catered to my friend who is gluten intolerant with a special mini loaf of bread to go with her appetizer and petits fours were replaced by a refreshing sorbet of fresh herbs and meringue. Les Climats is 5 minutes walk from Musee D'Orsay. Our first visit was extra special because Carole Colin happened to be at the restaurant and greeted us when we arrived.

We tried the testing menu. It is around 130 per person without wine. Not very impressed.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious and creative food with beautiful decor.
The wine list is impressively daunting, and the sommelier was friendly and helpful (despite our atrocious French!). Couldn't ask for a better relaxing lunch spot and all for a reasonable price considering the quality. Great location for a bite to eat following a morning visit to the Musee d'Orsay...

My 18 y/o asked for one thing...a fancy French restaurant. My hotel, the Duminy Vendome, recommended this Michelin star rated gem. I tried the the Comte soufflé. It tasted like a heavenly, cheesy cloud. The main course was pigeon. Yuck, right? Heck no!!! It was the best meal I've ever eaten. The sommelier recommend a perfectly, velvety Gevery-Chamberlin red. I will remember this meal the rest of my life!
Be the first to ReplyThis founder-influenced restaurant in Paris has got it
This founder-influenced restaurant in Paris has got it going. Combination of delicious and creative food (e.g. mushroom foie gras toast) and the personalized service that began with two servers opening the double doors in a perfectly timed, over the top welcome for our arrival. The arts and crafts decor is beautiful, and the desert merits its own paragraph...All grey. Shards that seem sharp but break down when you bite into them. The sesame ice cream, passionate fruit and meringue, somehow all came together to create a transformative experience. We were reminded of Grant Achatz's on the table desert in terms of how the different elements broke down into unique but cohesive bites. There was a wonderful attention to detail throughout. Hoping you get the extra Michelin stars you deserve. Merci Les Climats!

The atmosphere is perfectly polished, intimate and highly styled. The dinner courses carefully crafted, refined and elegant. Every bite was beautifully presented and taste divine. Husband choose this luxurious restaurant as an ongoing celebration of our anniversary. This is definitely an over the top kind of place. The service was very attentive. There were multiple servers and managers checking in on us. Asking about how each course faired. I was taken aback at first, since the high back chairs suggested they encouraged an intimate setting. I was soon amused as they were quite entertaining in their jolly demeanor. I quickly caught on that they were afraid that my pregnant self wasn't happy with the food and some substitutions. I was more than happy, we were very full from the dinner. Each course a surprise and every course satisfying. The only 1 star I took off was for the weak salad I was served because I couldn't have an unpasteurized cheese course. Very nice meal at a beautiful place. A very expensive dinner so if you're on a budget maybe consider the lunch instead.
