Great food, great ambience, excellent service and warm and friendly staff. One of our favorite places.
Be the first to ReplyWent here for dinner last night with friends.
I ordered the margarita pizza and was very disappointed. The crust was soggy and undercooked and the pizza came to me cold. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their dinner. I decided on tiramisu for dessert. However, they had a special of chocolate lava cake. I ordered that and was again disappointed. Yes, it was a chocolate lava cake. It was underwhelming. And again it was not warm. We also felt rushed by the wait staff on every interaction we had with them. They started setting up a large table next to us and pushing the table closer to our table. We were sitting at our table, happily, chatting, and catching up when somebody, maybe the manager showed up and said they would be happy to buy us a drink in the bar. I felt this was very passive aggressive way of telling us to get the hell out of the dining room. It isn't my fault that you can't figure out how many tables you need, and where to seat people. We paid a lot of money to eat a mediocre dinner and dessert there, and wanted to sit at our table and have a conversation. We didn't wanna go sit in the bar. So, we got up, said our goodbyes outside and we left. Based on the service aspect alone, I will never go back, and our friends also said that they will not go back. I will also be telling my family and friends not to patronize this place. If you're going to kick people out of the restaurant after a certain amount of time you need to have that stated on your menu.

Be the first to ReplyWhat a fun night at Locanda Capri in Brentwood.
Great food as in all of the Locanda's and we were well taken care of! Drink presentations were over the top. Food amazing. We will continue to go to each and every Locanda.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for Valentines Day and what a huge mistake.
The seating was not comfortable. The inside pictures that are advertised are not what we experienced at all, we got taken to a back "room". If the experience that we got is what was advertised we would not have come here. That's not the reason for the review tho. The meatballs were so mushy they reminded me of baby food. The sauce on the raviolis was so salty they were inedible. Whoever was in charge of quality control tonight must have called out sick. Locanda Amalfi is so good, and this location is the opposite. Very disappointing experience to say the least. We were not taken care of at all.

Good Italian food, friendly servers and nice atmosphere especially during the summer and when seated outdoor. It can get busy during peak hours and very loud inside
Be the first to ReplyI really don't understand how this place has such high
I really don't understand how this place has such high reviews. I have been here 3 different times all for dinner. The service is extremely slow. The dishes are not spectacular, bland pastas that seem bulk cooked and just brought out. The lasagna came out steaming hot but the inside was cold. There are other more authentic Italian options around. I would skip.

Thursdays are for impromptu dinner nights! Tonight we had the pleasure to visit Locanda Ravello in Danville. The front of the restaurant was beautiful & great for pictures. The restaurant was full of people - which is a great sign. We were greeted by the nicest hostess, I wish I caught her name. Over all the service and staff was impressive and very helpful. Our waiter Valerio was attentive and friendly ! My friend ordered the carbonara and penne pasta with vodka sauce he was definitely hungry. Both were so flavorful and tasty! In order a Caesar salad and chicken Parmesan. Unfortunately, the chicken Parmesan wasn't the best. The chicken was cooked great, but it lacked the cheesy goodness. The spinach was not seasoned at all and the potatoes were extremely brand. It was an an interesting pairing.. I wouldn't suggest that dish . However I saw someone order the salmon and that looked amazing. I would check that out. Atmosphere is warm and cozy. It's almost like you're visiting a beach house in Italy. overall, it was a great visit, and I look forward to coming again
Be the first to ReplyI really loved Locanda Ravello the first 2 times we went
I really loved Locanda Ravello the first 2 times we went there for lunch. The linquini vongole was fantastic and service excellent. Then went there a couple of times for dinner, which was a disaster. They were very busy but that should not be an issue. Forget what I had the first time, but clearly not memorable. The second time, the lasagna appeared to be days old, burnt and microwaved. Needless to say, we have not been back for some time which is unfortunate, cause I had really enjoyed lunch. May try again for lunch, but never dinner.

If I could give this restaurant more than five stars I would! Everyone is incredibly nice, and the food is amazing every time we come! My husband and I have tried many different items from the menu and have never had anything we didn't like. Our go to drinks are the Negroni and basiltini as well as the espresso martini. The pizzas here are fantastic, wish I could have their dough recipe to make at home!! They are very kid friendly and provide crayons and a coloring page. The kids absolutely love the "mickey" pizza. Can't wait to visit again!
Be the first to ReplyBest Italian place in the east bay, hands down.
Felipo is the man. This place is authentic, family owned and full of love. Food is delicious and drinks are elegance at its best. Order some limoncello, get a strozapretti, Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways. Don't miss out

Be the first to ReplyDon't respect reservations.
We got there much earlier than our reservation and they were sitting people before us who did not have reservations.

Great Italian spot! Reminds me of my days in San Francisco when Ciao and Prego first came on the scene -- authentic Italian food served by *real* Italian waiters! We had the branzino which was a huge portion and well worth the money , served with potatoes and spinachi. My wife had the lobster raviolis and they were delicious! Will be back again and again!

We got back from Italy recently and this gem prepared some of the best pasta we have ever tried! The bartender was from Naples and we loved listening to him and the other employees speak Italian - we felt like we were back in Italy. The atmosphere is cozy and charming! We can't wait to come back
Be the first to ReplyI hate unprofessionalism and poor customer service! I made
I hate unprofessionalism and poor customer service! I made a reservation late for Valentine's Day and knew my options were limited! I was so happy to get a reservation late but got one dining indoors - their standard- instead of outdoors when I knew it was going to be cold and my dining friend wanted indoors. HOWEVER, I got a call and message and due to work, didn't get the voicemail but they called and said since I reserved the day before, they were going to seat us OUTSIDE! What! It should matter when they got my reservation if available they should stick to what I reserved. Instead, I bet they decided to give my table inside because a whole bunch of their " regular customers" or whoever called changed their minds because they realized it was a cold windy evening and no longer a warm pleasant romantic outdoor experience! They should have marked unavailable if they couldn't offer what they had for their upcoming special evening. I was furious! If they wet going to treat their customers they deserve poor feedback. I'm sorry, it shouldn't matter when a reservations are made. They should have marked unavailable or outdoor dining only Available like other places. I was so disappointed by the underhanded approach!
Be the first to ReplyThe place has amazing interior, service, and food.
They are great with kids as we had 2 high chairs for 1 year olds.We came with our vegetarian friends and loved the gnocchi and salad. I want to come back for more dishes. The doughnuts are to die for!
Be the first to ReplyWe came here last weekend for a bday dinner.
Place is spacious with outdoor as well as indoor space. Service is pretty prompt and helpful. They didn't forget us despite being busy.Place is quite loud and lighting is annoying as it comes straight to your head and even pictures were hard to take due to that...Food was hit or miss and not very authentic. Pastas were mostly heavy and pizza was just ok. I thought the carbonara was probably the best dish.
Be the first to ReplyAn authentic Italian restaurant with a great location in
An authentic Italian restaurant with a great location in downtown Danville. I went here with my family and we ordered the charcuterie board and then the pastas. The carbonara was a letdown because they used ham instead of guanciale or bacon. Still good tho. The mezze maniche al cinghiale were great! Overall, a pretty good place. Next time, I'll try the pizzas!
Be the first to ReplyReally 3.
5 stars.Service was very good. 3 adults, 2 kids.Lasagna and Fettuccine Bolognese were quite good. The Carbonara was almost not edible. Tasted like liquid-smoke had been added. Not good. While on the topic of Carbonara it is almost impossible to find a place that uses guanciale instead of whatever meat they choose.$48 for a "Antipasto plate X 4", for 3 adults. Not impressed.$25 for Corkage seems high.
