Loved this! Stayed at hotel next door for 6 days and ate here 5 times! Super nice staff and good selection of delicious vegetarian dishes.
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience here. We started out with the squash fries and the baked ricotta. My husband had the calzone that by the looks of his completely empty plate I think he really enjoyed. I had the GF grandma pizza. All I can say is Wow! Being GF I have not had a pizza taste that good in 10 years! It was a deep dish style. The restaurant itself lovely and has a cozy feel to it. I highly recommend Loring Place.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a reservation for 5:45 in the bar at a high top.
. it was pretty quiet at first but filled up quickly! We enjoyed the carrots, butternut fries, broccoli salad, and filet (special that night) .. all were excellent! Service was attentive.. wish we had room for dessert, it looked delish

Had such a great brunch here with a friend group and we loved the vibe! The food was really good as well, just took a while on a busy Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was great and provided helpful recommendations and was very attentive with a friend's allergies! Would definitely try again for other meals, it was delicious! The hummus was honestly some of the best I've had in the city, I had the baked eggs and I'd say the only thing I didn't like was they were on the runnier side and the bread tasted a bit stale.
Be the first to ReplyUnexpectedly inattentive service.
I went with a group for brunch on 2/19. After the host sat us, nobody brought us menus or water for 15 minutes. We had to track down the host/manager to ask for help and service. They kindly apologized and brought us menus and water. But then we waited another 30 MINUTES before a server came to our table for the first time. Water was not refilled during the meal. Just basic 101 service lacking for a restaurant this nice. Many staff members were walking around, but nobody was attentive.

This afternoon was our first time back inside since before Covid. We are outside a couple of times in late summer of 2020. It was a total joy to be back at one of our favorite restaurants. The Restaurant Week lunch was spectacular. The crispy broccoli and roasted beets were so delicious and we also got the butternut fries which has always been a favorite. The grilled salmon salad was wonderful but the star of the day was the buttermilk fried chicken on a cheddar jalapeno waffle with chili-molasses. Maybe the best non traditional fried chicken I've ever had. The vibe inside was very relaxed and cool with really good music playing (not too loud) and the service was as friendly and informed as ever. A perfect lunch at a great place that just keeps getting better!
Be the first to ReplyHonestly, I have mixed feelings about this place.
The host and waitstaff are so accommodating and nice but I was disappointed with the food. I went with my sister yesterday for restaurant week lunch and our appetizers and drinks were great, no issues there. The problem is my sister ordered the grilled salmon salad as her second and when she cut it open the inside was still pretty raw. We called a waiter over to get the salmon cooked again and she took it back to the kitchen. It came back quickly, which was pretty nice and it was more cooked but we did still find raw pieces inside (which she put on my plate that I finished). It felt like they barely heated it up because the fish was still cold even after they "re-cooked" it and the experience was so off-putting that my sister had maybe four bites before she stopped eating and we asked for the check. This was my second time eating here and I had recommended this place to my sister because the first time I went, I really enjoyed the food. Looking back, both last time and this time, I didn't order any meat or fish dishes but I have to assume this isn't the norm because this is a pretty well-visited restaurant. The inconsistency in food quality is really disappointing and I'm not sure if I'd ever recommend going here again or coming myself. If I do, I'm only ever getting dishes without meat or fish because if those are raw, at least I won't be risking potential food poisoning.
Be the first to ReplyI came here with my coworkers for lunch on a Thursday
I came here with my coworkers for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We came during restaurant week, so I decided to go with the $30 two course menu. For the first course, I chose the crispy broccoli. It was coated in a light tempura batter and served with anchovy mayo. Absolutely delishious. For the second course, I chose the grilled salmon salad, which was served with wheat berries and some vegetables. Also very good. For dessert, a few of us shared the almond joy sundae. Amazing meal, beautiful restaurant, and good service. I'd come back in a heartbeat.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was phenomenal.
The service was very attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. I would order the sea bass again, everyone enjoyed their meals. The only slightly disappointing choice were the carrots which were raw. Over all I would absolutely come back and would recommend it to all willing to pay for some very good food.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible experience! Loring Place is a top notch
Incredible experience! Loring Place is a top notch restaurant with outstanding service, delicious and interesting food, and a cool atmosphere. I'd say it's perfectly upscale - nice without being pretentious. When we told our server we had to get to a show by 7 he helped keep us on time and made sure our food came out at perfect intervals. We were so impressed with that level of service!

Wonderful experience with my girlfriends celebrating one of their birthdays. The food was divine but I have to mention the service was next level. Our server was Katarina and what a sweetheart she was! She made the best recommendations and was so attentive. Katarina made our experience so much fun and will definitely be back soon. Thank you for being so kind and warm, Katarina!!!

Amazing food with great service! My friends from LA visited and took them here for brunch. We absolutely loved everything we ordered which were recommended by our server. My friends said this was the best food they've had during their NY trip. I would definitely go back for dinner!
Be the first to ReplyWe kept wondering if we were eating at the same place
We kept wondering if we were eating at the same place everybody else was raving about on Yelp, Condenaste Traveler, Resy. Our food was eh. The restaurant is gorgeous. The waitress was very nice. The food just... missed. The olives were bland, the hummus was a bit boring and the dish was packed with quartered radishes with one small pita to split amongst four adults. The dip that came w the butternut squash fries had a nice flavor and the beet salad had nice first-bite flavor. Avoid the wood broccoli - it is steamed and infused with an unsettling smokey flavor. The squash pizza goat cheese had some nice and chewy party and the crust was good and flaky! (Not ABC Kitchen pizza, but a decent try.) The chicken was bland, the brussels had a nice char but had these kinda strange slices of apple not listed on the menu. Short rib was fine. Cavatelli was okay, if kinda heavy and the best part - the ricotta dollop - was buried under a sizeable dish with a lot going in. Desserts were unremarkable, though the vanilla sundae came mostly melted and was basically ice cream soup with toffee on that we asked not to put on bc of a walnut allergy, and brownie chunks in which were also not listed on the the menu. Random little things made it feel a bit off. Eh? Hope you had a more flavorful night!

Went for dinner last night and I was blown away by how incredible it was. The service was excellent and the food was so delicious, every dish we had was full of flavor and so fresh! We had the Butternut Fries, the Tuna Crudo, Ricotta Cavatelli (out of this world) and the Roasted Black Bass which was also amazing. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely loved!! Food was amazing, service was awesome
Absolutely loved!! Food was amazing, service was awesome and the mood / vibe was sexy without being overly 'doing too much'. I have a bunch of allergies and our server was excellent about making sure I was ok, and the balance of my 7 person party got to enjoy their meals uninterrupted. Also, I didn't know this one a family style restaurant but it's so elevated that you don't feel like you're at some midtown esque Olive Garden (no shade to the breadsticks and salads, but there's a time and place, ya dig??). Simple ingredients but executed incredibly well.Definitely will go back - also the hostess was awesome (she communicated via text!). Yuuuge fan !!

Our dining experience was lovely from the moment we walked in. The service is warm and friendly, just the right amount of attention without being overbearing. It was such a pleasure to be seated near the window, and not feel crowded at all. The cocktails are exceptional. Definitely ask your server for recommendations- they know which dishes really shine. This was a great experience, 8.5/10.
Be the first to ReplyLots of vegetarian friendly options.
Cocktails and food is top notch. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyThe best night i could have possibly asked for.
The staff are the sweetest people i've ever come across and extremely attentive. And not to mentioned the food was.... TO DIE FOR. Thank you Leah, Julie, Sand Alex for making our night one to remember. Will definitely be back

We've been to this place once before for dinner as we're locals and sight by the bar. Service was okay but not outstanding. Came again for brunch to give it another shot and it was even worse somehow. We stopped by for brunch at he tail end of service at 2:30pm and waited nearly 20min before somehow finally came over to give us menus and water. We tried making eye contact with the 5-6 servers managing the other tables during this very quiet time and were blatantly ignored. Once we finally put in our order it took ANOTHER 20min to get our drinks - 5 min after our food finally came out. The drinks were watered down, the Brussels sprouts salad was good, the Turkey hash came out looking like dog food - messy, rough chop, food mess along the rim of the plate, and the chicken and waffles were fine. The service was so abysmal with no apology or acknowledgement of the poor service. We couldn't leave fast enough to get a drink at analogue next door to make up for the crappy experience. Loring Place should take a note from Analogue's book where they know how to treat their clients!

We've tried Loring Place for both brunch and dinner, and you can't go wrong with either menu! Unfortunately they weren't making pizzas the night we came for dinner (heard great things about them!), but we still had a great meal.We shared some appetizers and entrees and two desserts even though we were stuffed. The menu is seasonal and changes often so there's always something new to try.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorites in the city.
Service is always excellent and they seasonally update the menus for new dishes. The food is always delicious and tastes really clean and healthy (can't describe why but it does) and the decor inside is modern and chic yet romantic. Everybody looks attractive with their lighting here.
Be the first to ReplyIf I was looking for an elitists and unwelcoming
If I was looking for an elitists and unwelcoming establishment I found it. The best chef can still be hurt by its staff. Manhattan was the best place to go to dinner in the world. Unfortunately the woke employees, unattractive attitudes and dress code of the staff means something to grown ups like me. The people who order everything on the menu tip well and behave politely are treated the worst. I visited Naples Florida last week ate at a place called Truluck's where the food was better the staff was beyond nice and they called me the next day to see if everything was ok. NYC restaurants have fallen and have forgotten what it's like to treat people who spend the most with respect and this place is the prime example.
Be the first to ReplyAnother fantastic vegetable-forward spot from Dan Kluger!
Another fantastic vegetable-forward spot from Dan Kluger! And a restaurant that is consistently good is even more of a gem :) The dining room is a warm, modern, and aesthetically pleasing space....with food and cocktails to match. There are a lot of salad-like constructions on the menu - but they are more interesting than regular salads: The roasted beets, wood grilled broccoli, and shaved brussels sprouts all have perfect flavor complements and a lot of crunch to spruce up the grilled vegetables.Among the larger plates - the arctic char was cooked really well, and the pizzas are unconventional with perfect crusts. The cocktails are always made well - the mezcal and pear is my favorite, but even the simple bee's knees shines here!
Be the first to ReplyI am unsure what happened here.
The service is friendly and warm. The chef, Dan Kluger, still holds the reigns. I respect him and he has done amazing things but I feel like quality has gone down a little. We ordered butternut fries (skip unless you like a lot of breading), shaved Brussel sprouts salad (highly recco) and the gluten free grandma pizza. The waiter said the pizza would take 20-25 mins which is fine as we ordered apps. But don't tell me the pizza is going to take 20 mins and bring out a cold pizza. Come on. The gluten free crust was great but I am one of those people that hate cold pizza especially for 19 bucks. The aesthetics of this place are still top notch. And the cocktails and wines by the glass have always been solid. Just wondering if quality has dipped.
Be the first to ReplyI've been to Loring Place twice now.
The first time I was impressed.Unfortunately, this second time, I got the worst food poisoning of my life. I was sick for a full 24 hours. We ordered the tuna appetizer, the broccoli appetizer, and shared the skate and the grandma pizza.
