Lucali Miami Beach Reviews from The Last Year

A cock roach in the bathroom, cold wet pizza that wasn't even cooked. Horrible service this place went down hill two years ago!!! Do not go there you will get food poisoning it was the most disgusting restaurant I ever ate at in my life.
Despite high expectations, I was severely disappointed.
The service and staff were okay, somewhat professional. However, I regret to say that the pizza didn't meet the mark; it was just mediocre. I don't plan on returning.
Lucali is one of the better pizza spots in Miami Beach
Lucali is one of the better pizza spots in Miami Beach along with their sister restaurant, DC Pie in Brickell. I always order sausage pizza and a large pizza is usually a little light for two to share, so you might want to add more to your order. There are plenty of reviews of the pizza, you can check those out. This review will focus on the 'meatball hero sandwich' I tried this time. I normally get an order of meatballs to fill us up but I noticed the meatball sub so decided to give that a go and wow I was not disappointed. The sub was big enough to share as it had 4 meatballs in a sesame seed bread. I'm not normally a fan of sesame but damn this will be a reorder for me. I also asked if they had any different bread for next time but this is their only option. It was cheesy enough but not overpowering and the bread was crisp yet soft in the middle. A++++
Best pizza we ever had! Crust is thin and light and crispy.
Loved the fresh basil sausage and mushroom. Highly recommend!
I ordered Lucali over Uber Eats and was pretty disappointed.
Lucali was my favorite pizza place in New York so I was excited to see that it was available to order in Miami. Unfortunately when it arrived it was undercooked and cold. Not only that but I felt the ingredients were different than what I remember and crust was inedible. I wish I had gone in person but yeah it wasn't as good as I had hoped. I think it's better to dine in or pickup so you can try to eat it when it's hot but even then I feel like it's not the same as the one in Brooklyn at all
This place is a hidden little gem.
We came here to try the pizza but we fell in love with the pasta instead. There was only 2 pasta dishes to chose from. The pasta was sweet but also a tad bit spicy, it also has a creaminess to it. The pizza was good but a bit salty to our taste. Next time I would like to try the regular pie rather than the white pie. I loved the Caesar kale salad, it had freshly made croutons on top....just WOW. They were still warm when the salad arrived to our table. The pepperoni chips with hot honey, just made me happy inside. They were crunchy and melted in my mouth when dipped in the honey. The main reason for 4/5 stars was the service, the server forgot to bring the soda we ordered. It was a bit busy for a Thursday night, so maybe he overlooked it. Although, the server was friendly and boxed our pizza for us prior to leaving. Overall, I do recommend you check this spot out! There may be a wait to get a table but you can always grab a drink next door while you wait!
A little flat.
Fine in a pinch. Came here at an off hour and ordered pizza and a salad. The service is very quick and they turned us over quickly, but not in a rush. The pizza is mostly build your own style- We went for a plain which includes all the cheese and basil and sauce. -the pizza was really thin crust and quite crispy and cracker-like rather than doughy. The flavor of the sauce was good. The seasonal salad was ok, just quite a bit smaller than the price suggests. The place was friendly, easy going, they even gave the kiddo next to us a ball of dough to play with - but given Miami has so much amazing pizza, this was more of a "need a bite" place for me.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I went to this restaurant at 4.50pm today. I placed an order to go for $250. I tipped the young lady's in the front as well for taking my order. $280 including tip. At 5.30pm I went back in and she told me to step outside in the rain as they are very busy!! There was no sense of acknowledgement whatsoever! I went back outside in the rain for another 15 minutes. At around 5.50pm I received a text message that my order is ready for pickup. I went inside and showed her that I got the text. She then told me that the are backed up and that the text message doesn't mean anything!! At that point I was pretty much fed up with them and also the rude and stuck up clientale that they have!! I asked for their manager and after about 10 minutes Ana came out. I told her how I felt. She told me that they prioritize their seating guests and that typically to go orders take a minimum of 1 1/2 hours!!! They never told me that when I placed the order! Please don't fall for all the nonsense hype and save your money! Go somewhere where they treat you with Love and respect!!! This place is not only overpriced $40 for a pizza plus $6 to $8 per topping, but their service is beyond unacceptable!!!!
All around great experience every time we go.
Cool vibe; attentive service and unforgettable food that makes you come back again and again and again for more. It's more expensive than a regular pizza restaurant but it's not a regular pizza restaurant so it's worth it.
Horrible service, They told me it would he an hour wait for
Horrible service, They told me it would he an hour wait for my pizza and after two hours I asked about the pizza and was told that they would check up, 50 minutes later the girl just stood there doing absolutely nothing my playing with her nails, when asked again after some more time another lady goes into the restaurant and comes out to tell me that they forgot to print the ticket and our food would come out after about 10 to 15 minutes. 25 minutes later pizzas keep coming out and I am sitting outside with nothing, when asked about the pizza again the lady said she was busy when the restaurant was half empty and the girl in front was still doing nothing just standing still, considering this is my first time here I will NOT be coming back.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
