Very good all around
We were here twice in July, both times with friends, one of whom introduced us to Lunasia for the very first time. The food is very good, service was good to very good. Prices are higher than the average dimsum restaurant, though portions for some dishes were larger than the average. One thing I didnโt like was requirement for a cell phone app to order your food. However, food was hot, cooked to order and came within a reasonable length of time โ better than the traditional โpush-cartโ.

I have dined here for business meals and I absolutely loved the overall experience. Today, I was able to enjoy a dinner with our family (13 of us together - teens and adults). We had the most spectacular experience. A combination of DimSum and entrees. Jumbo Shrimp Har-Gow, Shrimp & Pork Siu-Ma, Steamed B.B.Q. Pork Bao, Crispy Shrimp Roll, Pain-Friod String Beans, Poking Duck w/ 'Steamed Buns, Kung-Pao Chicken, Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll, and a Lobster dish. Our server helped us select our family feast. We also had potstickers and egg rolls. Lots of tea!! Excellent service and incredible food. Street parking was quite easy for three families.

The dim sum is always incredible here. Especially anything with shrimp in it. They even have dim sum available for dinner
Be the first to ReplyA good place for your dim sum craving in Los Angeles CA area
Good dim sum place in Cerritos CA (Los Angeles area). Creative dishes you donโt find in other typical dim sum restaurants. Friendly staff, nice trendy decorations. The online waitlist does not work and was told they donโt use it after I arrive at the restaurant and told to put name in the iPad directly. Since it is the only place in this area expect to wait if you go in peak lunch time.

Incredible experience. Phenomenal dim sum. Huge menu with massive choices. Order digitally on your phone from the table. We also loved the Pan Fried Chow Fun w/ curry and shrimp. Chines broccoli was out of control, delicious. Service was attentive, professional and quick.
Be the first to ReplyExpensive Chinese food, service was slow
The food is good but donโt see how it was Michelin rated. To me it tasted like average Chinese food. The only difference is that it is expensive which I suppose itโs due to the Michelin rating. Service was slow it wasnโt too busy on our visit. We explained to the waiter what we wanted and he understood but it wasnโt what came out. Explained again but wrong dish came out again. Didnโt bother to get the right dish. Itโs good food but canโt justify paying their prices when there are too many Chinese restaurants around.
Be the first to ReplyHigh quality, popular dim sum spot
Dim sum that lives up to the hype of Michelin Bib Gourmand. Came here on a Sunday and there was approximately an hour long wait, so I would suggest putting yourself on the Yelp waitlist in advance and trying to time your arrival. Street parking. Credit cards accepted. You order using your phone and then theyโll bring your food out as itโs ready. Itโs pricier than other dim sum joints, but the quality is higher and the size is larger. 100% get the shu mai and the har gow. The pineapple buns are also delicious for those with a sweet tooth. The beef chow fun was large in portion and made for good leftovers. They do have alcohol. Indoor dining only. Service was fast and efficient. Overall, highly recommend coming here for high quality dim sum.
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic HK style dim sums
If you want authentic and good quality dim sum this is the place. Michelin awarded the restaurant Bid Gourmand and highly recommends its dim sum selections. It has been more than a year since weโve been here. Once I heard the restaurant has reopened for dine in, we were amongst the first ones to come and indulged ourselves in the decadent dim sum and tea ritual. The restaurant puts in a good effort to provide a safe and comfortable dine in experience. All tables are insulated with wooden glass panels, providing a safe yet pleasant and comfortable dining environment. The tea selections are still enormous. I love the jasmine tea and the cast iron tea pot that keeps the tea hot. The dim sums we had were still very good. The only thing I noticed that on the steam turnip cake and steam noodle with shrimps were not as good as before the pandemic. The texture of the turnip cake very coarse and not as smooth as I had expected. Same for the noodle, the skins were think and not smooth. Maybe they need a bit more warming up as today is their first day of reopening. On the other hand, the steam BBQ bun and the sticky rice in lotus leaf wrap were divine. I didnโt remembered these items tasted that good. Their dinner dishes are equally good. Now that they are open for dine in, we will be back to re-trying out their evening food. Unlike before the pandemic, parking is plenty in the parking garage.
Be the first to ReplyPoor food-to-go
The food is good but the service is very poor, especially the girl by the counter. she is very impatient and rude.

My friend invited me to have lunch here and we ate in the outdoor patio area. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic no one is allowed to eat inside at the moment. My friend picked out a variety of food off the menu and everything was delicious and fresh tasting. This restaurant is very popular as many people were picking up orders while we enjoyed our lunch.

excellent dim sum -
i could have given very good instead of average due to below,
since corona virus i ordered to go and notice the package was different, used to pack in long paper box, very environmental .
however, now is in square paper box not well made so shape can be deformed sometime due to weight on top or heat.
there was a foil paper inside the box under the food, when food temperature is hot,
the foil paper changed color and showed discolor spots which is quite disguising in view.
you would wonder what type of foil paper used, was there any chemical released from the heat and go on to the food? not sure.
even the dim sum is very tasty, i would think twice before ordering to go.
i hope they put in consideration and change back to original packing for to go.
Good but pricey
The dim sum was good and with generous portions. We ordered 5 dishes for both of us. The traditional BBQ bun was good. The size of the dumplings was bigger than other dim sum places. The custard bun was also very good. The custard flows out when you bite on it. Unfortunately, it was made with a lot of butter or cream that might not be very healthy for some people.
Be the first to ReplyOne of three best dim sums in LA
One of three best dim sums in LA. Whenever I have friends from China, I would them here to get authentic Chinese dim sum. The dim sums here are comparable to the ones in HK. They also offer a lot more varieties then other dim sum house in LA. Must order their Bolo bun and cocktail bun. These are two of my favorite. The buns are so soft that just melt in your mouth. Should also try their dinner as well. They have many delicious dishes including their famous Alaska king crabs and Peking duck.
Be the first to ReplyExcellently prepared and delicious dim sum
The lines can be long for dim sum lunch at Lunasia, but it is really worth the wait. They are beautiful to see as well as pleasing to taste and digest. Very nice surroundings and the service is excellent as well. Yes, it is more expensive than other dim sum restaurants, but this is definitely the best in Alhambra.

OMG!
We had lunch here today, Dimsum + Lobster Chow Fun for 3 people: $126!
No way: They do not post prices, so you do not know, but @ $5.98 for a basic serving of Har Gow or Sui Mai....
One would think that the lack of cart-ladies would keep the prices reasonable, Nope!
The food was fresh, hot, & tasty... but the price for value knocks it down.
Black Truffle Sui Mai: $15.98, and the back truffles are strong & take away from the taste of the filling.
Egg Yolk Bun: Yolk is liquid heat, take a bite it squirts all over, not a solid cooked yolk.
Chinese broccoli: Bland.
Lobster Chow Fun: $38.98 lunch price?
Char-su Bao: Filling 98% sweet onion 2% pork
Waste of $$$$$$$, Prices like tourist trap China Town! Better to go to Monterey Park!
Never Again!
Good quality dim sum
Iโve only dined here for dim sum and be prepare to wait. Prices are a tad higher than most dim sum places in the area, but the quality is much better. They use better ingredients and you can certainly taste the difference.
