My parents were in Kenya for a while and I used to visit them on holidays. A staple must-have during those holidays used to be Maru Bhajiyas - potato fritters dipped in a thin batter of gram flour. You get regular Bhajiyas (fritters) in India, but this is something else - something yummier, crisper and served with a tangy tomato dip. When I saw this place when we went Indian grocery shopping in this area, I was thrilled beyond belief at the nostalgic plus yummness factor! Maru's Bhajia House serves huge portions of the fritters. They have two portion sizes and even the smaller one is quite a task for two people to handle. The coffee is nice and strong - something many places can't get right. Nice place to go to on a rainy day for some coffee and fritters!
