Great experience!!! Delicious food and incredible service!!!
My colleagues and I visited Megan’s Kitchen for Christmas party last week and we all had very great experience! A room was reserved for us and we enjoyed ourselves with high privacy. Food was awesome, with such an amazing range of choice (eg. more than 10 different soup base to choose) ! We ordered beef, seafood, homemade dumplings and meatballs. The beef and seafood were so fresh! The homemade dumplings and meatballs were creative and delicious! The staff were very nice, helpful and informative. They took time to explain everything to us and answered our questions politely. We will definitely be back!!! And highly recommend to everyone
Be the first to ReplyDecent hotpot but a bit overpriced
Found this restaurant online recommended as a top hotpot spot. Nice to be able to order three different broths/soups, though two would have been sufficient. You pay for all hot pot ingredients separately and some of the items are a bit overpriced frankly (abalone, local beef strips) but overall a nice experience.
Be the first to ReplyMy top choice for hotpot in Hong Kong
I almost always go to Megan’s Kitchen when I fancy a hotpot dinner.
The food quality of the restaurant has always been high and consistent.
I’m spoilt for choice every time I eat there. There’re more than 10 types of soup to choose from. The selection of fresh seafood is extensive. So is the selection of beef. In addition to local beef, it also stocks various kinds of Wagyu beef including Hida and Saga beef. There’re also some innovative homemade dumplings and meatballs (for example Peking duck dumpling and chicken meatballs with quail egg).
My friends and I had another great meal there last night. We’d a private room which provided ample privacy.
It’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for.
Nice Cantonese cuisine at reasonable price
This is a lovely little secret in Wanchai. Megan's Kitchen specializes in Cantonese hot pot and other dishes. It comes with free soup, rice and dessert. Food in general is nice. Scrambled egg white with crab meat is fresh and creamy. Fried pork chop is juicy and tender. Decor is cozy and spacious. Service is great and price is reasonable.
Be the first to ReplyAverage for cooked dishes
The restaurant is famous for their Cantonese style hot pot but we went to try their cooked dishes instead. Overall dishes were ok & nothing more than that. Barbecued pork was the worst dish for the night as the meat was too lean & not juicy or tender enough. Relatively the poached beef & soy sauce chicken were fairly yummy. Services were good perhaps because we had a private room.

I had been planning to have hotpot here since gourmet pictures of colourful cuttlefish balls were posted.
Apart from that, their website impressed me as it was in English, Chinese and there was a downloadable menu.
For the soup bases, there were so many that it was hard to choose.
To summarize, all the ingredients were fresh and tasty.
The vegetarian options are also fabulous as they offer omnipork and beyond meat dumplings.
Will definitely be back again.
Megan's Kitchen has been around since 2010 or longer and back then they were amazing as they had English on the menu, a well designed website and downloadable menus.
Deliciously creative Cantonese style hot pot in the heart of the city! A must try.
One of the best places to get Cantonese style hot pot on Hong Kong island. Conveniently located on Wanchai Road , in a comfortable, spacious setting ambience, this hot pot restaurant caters to frequent customers of both locals and expats - offering menus in Chinese and English, as well as knowledgeable bilingual waiters.
Food:
The food here is fresh, with tons of options! Having been to many of the hot pot restaurants in HK, Megan’s kitchen offers the most creative choices and diversify of dishes, from multi colored cuttle fish balls, to cheese-filled meat balls, Peking duck dumplings - and now they are even offering a whole menu for health conscious vegetarian and vegan eaters. With traditional meat dishes substituted with vegan meat such as impossible and Omnipork, hot pot can now be just as fun of a culinary experience for non-meat eaters.
Broth options are plentiful and flavorful, I loved their Tom yum cappuccino froth, tomato’s soufflé, and their more typical and familiar broths are just as tasty and wholesome.
Service:
Service is very attentive. The staff are always near with watchful eyes to cater to your needs. One of the most service friendly hot pot restaurants I have been to in HK.
Overall:
A great restaurant choice for big groups and out of town guests to taste all of their creative Cantonese style hot pot dishes. We love coming here with big groups and this is always one of the top choices to taste Cantonese hot pot!

Cool place
Asked some at the hotel about a Hot Pot Restaurant and was told which way to go. Let's check from the outside, but it showed up to be at 5. floor :-) Nevertheless, into the elevator and was well greeted. It's a nice place with a huge menu. The waitress kept on filling tea in our cups, while we were eating. Price in the higher end, but still acceptable. After all everything in HK is expensive. Come again? Maybe
Be the first to ReplyAnother excellent choice on our Hong Kong adventure
We came across this place after failing to find another restaurant which had been recommended. Thankfully it worked out well and gave us a chance to experience Hot Pot in Hong Kong. I had tried this once beofre a long time ago, but the staff were very helpful and caiched us through how to experience it all. We had a Satay soup with chicken and vegetables. It was brilliant as was the dipping sauce the waiter made up for us. Out meal was tasty and inexpensive.
Be the first to ReplyBad mistake, grossly overpriced
Was tempted to give it a 2 star for the grossly overpriced food, but kind to give N additional star for the quality of food.
But boy it is overpriced. USD7 for sauces and usd50 for 4 thinly sliced wagyu? Usd7 for 8 slices of canned luncheon meat. Like seriously? No doubt the food is fresh but for Usd110/pax, I think I'd spend it more willingly at a legit Michelin restaurant.
