We found this place for brunch since it was near the bus
We found this place for brunch since it was near the bus station and had good reviews. The photos of the food looked good so we went. Inside was quite spacious. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. We ordered the eggs royale with a side salad instead of fries, smashed avocado, feta, and poached eggs, and the pan fried chicken with wild mushrooms. My friends and I enjoyed the poached eggs. The side salad was also really refreshing. Unfortunately, my other friend found her chicken to be really dry. She said the sauce was good, but the chicken was so dry, it still didn't redeem the dish. I would definitely recommend the poached eggs. It's near the train station and we were able to walk to Buckingham palace after (though it is a pretty far walk).

I listened to a Tinder date gone horribly wrong while sitting in my table at Bills. this is not their story, but it does happen. Instead, Bills is a nice place. It's homey, has a good decor, and friendly staff. I was there for breakfast - the traditional breakfast was bacon, sausage, fried eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes with toast. Everything was good, although the eggs were slightly over cooked. It's unpretentious and a nice start to a slow day.Service was not the fastest, so make sure you aren't in a hurry. If you are in a hurry, why are you at a restaurant?

I'll admit that my friend and I had reservations about this restaurant at first. Being from New York, we're not big fans of eating anywhere near the train station. But Bill's is in the arcade, away from the actual subway, and the food is delicious.I had their pancakes which truly tasted homemade and had a subtle hint of lemon. My gf created her own meal, that I can't remember exactly (eggs, veggies and mash potatoes...?) but she loved it and said that everything tasted fresh. The ambiance was nice and the staff exemplary. Many thanks to lovely Naomi and the rest of the crew for a great meal.
Be the first to ReplyCame on a Sunday morning and was sat right away.
The service was quick and the food was delicious! I was expecting a so so experience based on the yelp score but the other place didn't open until 9am so we decided to give it a shot. Glad we did! We will stop by again before our trip ends.
Be the first to ReplyWent here because of a co-worker's recommendation.
Not impressed. Food was meh, and the service was substandard, at best. They do pour decent drinks, so if I come back, it'll be just for the liquid dinner.

I think this is a good place for a quick bite to eat for weary and jet lagged travelers who are just arriving to London via the High Street Kensington station. This was our very first meal here, after arriving to the neighborhood from the airport. We were exhausted and hungry, and this is a neat and welcoming place with a cool interior and good food. I liked the pancakes I ordered, my husband had a dish that was poached egg with toast, avocado, etc. Staff was very friendly, we didn't have to wait for a table.
Be the first to ReplyLovely place with a great menu! Inexpensive.
You have to try the Avo Toast and the green Smoothie!!

My husband and usually order the the fish and chips here (so touristy, I know:) -- the very best we've ever had; great location, service and food. I highly recommend this restaurant, just inside the High Street Kensington tube station entrance from the street.

We came here at the end of November when they re-opened after remodeling. The place is super cute and clean! We had never been here before, so we can't speak to what it was like before. We both ordered Bill's Breakfast along with a stack of pancakes. The food was delicious and we enjoyed every bit of it. We came right at opening for breakfast and service was great. The servers that helped us were very friendly and checked up on us many times. The next time we're in London, I definitely want to come back and try their other menu options!
