Greek welcome
Loved Meraki. It helped that I was hosted by a Greek client of mine who is a regular - so much so that the exec. chef, Sanjay Dwivedi, welcomed us with hugs and handshakes, sat with us for fifteen minutes to catch up and sent some cocktails to our table as a welcome. Not the usual welcome for sure and I know I lucked out. Setting all of that aside, the truth is that this is a fabulous place - the food was gorgeous, the service was brilliant and the atmosphere is lovely. It has a familial feel, like going to a family get-together, that they really care that you are under their roof and that they will offer you their best food and hospitality. Just perfect, then.

Couldn't have been happier. We are a picky bunch - no fish, Coeliac, nut allergy - amongst the group, but they really took care of us, including the chef coming to the table to talk us through one of the dishes. Food & service were tiptop. Would defo recommend x

As always, wonderful, delicious food and friendly, efficient service - we keep going back! The ambiance, decor and music are also perfect…
Be the first to ReplyGreat Greek/Med meals
Great busy spot for dinner, nice casual elegant design and good mix of diners, plenty of young couples and families too! All dishes were tasty and ample in serving portions - a great find in Fitzrovia!
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite so far since I’m in London
Amazing food but specially amazing service, we’ve been served by an Italian waiter called Davide, he was always available for our requests, he was very professional and friendly enough to make feel comfortable. We were very happy spend our evening there and i think ill go back for sure one day and I’ll suggest this place to anyone I know who wants have a nice lamb and a glass of win
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, atmosphere and service. All in all worth every penny
Great atmosphere and personable service . We had a variety of starters to share, some authentic Greek, some with fusion . Great steak cooked to perfection and the Bougatsa desert was amazing. This venue was buzzing, lively with great music. I think price wise it can be on the more expensive side but in comparison to what’s around in Central London I would rather pay for the service, atmosphere and food is good. Definitely going again loved it
Be the first to ReplyNice food, but a pity that when you pay so much for your food you can’t sit and digest it!
Welcome was great, we sat down immediately no waiting for a table. Food was lovely although my beef was over salted that was a pity. We ordered a Bougatsa for dessert this took a while to arrive so coffees were drunk before dessert and this was a bit disappointing. Staff were lovely. I have to say that I always judge a restaurant by its back of house! Half way down the stairs to the toilets you are greeted by a terrible stench, this smell stays with you for a while. You need to sort this out Meraki! This is not a cheap meal. It’s roughly £100 per head with service.

Absolutely delighted by my dining experience at this Greek gem! The quality of ingredients was unparalleled, creating dishes bursting with authentic flavors. The exceptional cooking showcased the chef's mastery, and the staff's service added a warm touch to the overall delightful evening. Highly recommend for a taste of Greece's culinary excellence!

This place was spot on, great food, livly atmosphere and staff treated us like royalty... will be returning
Be the first to ReplyGreat for a celebration
The food was terrific and the vibe was fun. Great Greek wine list. The bread basket was deadly good. The servers were all super friendly. Loved the speakeasy downstairs. Perfect for a celebratory meal.
Be the first to ReplyTINY PORTIONS EYE WATERING PRICES
We had a terrible overpriced tiny portion dinner last night at this unfriendly restaurant - The staff oversell the food to encourage you to over order BEWARE - we all thought the food was tasteless - 3 small lamb chops cost £33 - All the very tiny starters cost about £14 each - None of our party will be returning or recommending our friends and family to go to eat at this restaurant -

Great place - warm welcome - good food.Greek coffee no taste and watery. Rather loud but would enjoy a meal there again.

Hhmmm why don’t places stay the same ? My son asked where I’d like to lunch for Mother’s Day ( early ) and I immediately chose this place as been delicious food before , but talk about pared down , his main course of lamb kebab was minced lamb in two tiny pieces with nothing else added , I had the set menu we shared the starters but two minuscule pieces of pitta served so ordered more which was £4 extra , doesn’t sound much but so mean to serve such tiny pieces of bread with a sizeable dip ! My son had eaten his ‘main’ course ages before I got my chicken souvlaki ! I can only say they haven’t expected their customers to have visited Greece , again a minuscule dish . The staff were pleasant enough but won’t be coming back , such a shame .
Be the first to ReplyAlmost two hours and all I got was some dips
Went to Meraki on a recommendation for by brothers birthday. Ordered our meals. Waited 1 hour for my bread and dips. 1.5 in still waiting for more food. Still didn’t come. Left the restaurant without eating little more than bread and dips. Extremely apologetic but incredibly disappointed in service.
Be the first to ReplyGood Food and great atmosphere
We had a selection of dips to start and each got a starter each, the quality of food lives up to the price. We then shared the lobster orzo, I did feel they could of given a whole lobster given the price point but was very well cooked.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with friends. We opted for the starters to share. Starters are excellent and we did not take main courses. for 6 people just with the starters with two bottles of the cheapest wine to two gin and tonics the bill came to 550 pounds. The shorts for 6 came to above 70 pounds. The service was ok, but nothing special. For the price of the dinner it could have been much better.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food/wine
Starters, mains & desserts unbelievably good. I will be back. On a cold and rainy night to go into this cosy restaurant and relax with lovely food, was just what we needed. Staff attentive, and service second to non. I will be back.
Be the first to ReplyChaotic vibe, average mains but great starters!
As soon as we stepped into the restaurant it felt like the front of house team didn’t have things under control. Waited ages just to have our coats checked in and for our table to be ready. During this time a group left their table early because the restaurant was too loud. It’s very loud but acceptable, however getting the waiters’ attention was very difficult. The starters and sharing dishes were great, particularly the potato rosti and aubergine dish. As a vegetarian I found my main, the sickly sweet winter trofie, pretty disappointing. My friends loved the salt crusted seabass though! Dessert was excellent and cocktails were great too. Would go back just for the rosti and dessert - not sure about the rest!
Be the first to ReplyBad from start to finish
From the freezing cold table by the door to the substandard service in dealing with it. Everything was bad. The food was so poor I barely ate and can’t wait to get home for some food . Beetroot from a packet, clumsy lumps of tuna tartar, cold potato rosti and the most dried out small fish special I have ever seen. The manager had terrible breath and I could not wait to leave. Which was such a shame as I was trying to have a fun night with friends. Front desk were pleasant and we had one nice waiter otherwise all a complete mess.

We had a great dinner at Meraki. The vibe and service were excellent, and food was really delicious. Yes, it’s not cheap - but when you pay premium prices you want a premium meal and Meraki definitely delivered. Everything was interesting, tasty and moreish. Will certainly be back.
Be the first to ReplyMust Visit when in London!
Amazing food, superb cocktails and helpful and friendly staff.
I would definitely recommend and I will certainly be back. Bravo Meraki!
Overpriced and below par quality
A disappointing experience.
Restaurant like this seem to think they can present a 'fine dining' like prices and deliver food that quite frankly would cost a third of the price in a Greek cafe. There's nothing special about the food. The small hummus is £6 and £1.50 for small slices of pitta. Hummus is probably pre bought and pitta definitely wasn't home made.
Mushroom skewers with a bit of cheese was £9. You only get two, which is some what ridiculous when you realise it literally is chestnut mushrooms, nothing special.
Prawns were dry and £26 for 5/6 sliced halves. Pasta was overly salty and should be £12 at most, not £19.
In addition, we were rushed out and rushed to order. Appreciate there is a 2hr window but when you are spending over £200 for a sub par meal, at least let people enjoy the drinks in peace. The food also arrives faster than a Mcdonalds order, which raises questions over how freshly prepared the food is. Why rush people if the bulk of the food arrives in 4 minutes!?
Anyway, seek out a low key, authentic Greek restaurant and sacrifice the ambience for better quality food (and a heavier wallet)
Below expectations!
Probably the most well known option for Greek inspired cuisine in London so the bar was set high before even visitting. Unfortunately apart from the seabream ceviche everything else we ordered was lacking fundamental flavour. This included an underseasoned Lobster Giouvetsi and a Smoked Aubergine that was completely overpowered by the acidity of the yogurt used. The place is nice and staff are friendly however for their prices and hype surrounding the restaurant we expected something much better. Not worth another visit I'm afraid.
Be the first to ReplyRip Off expensive AND service charge added without notice for just 2 drinks!
My girlfriend and I visited briefly after a friends birthday party elsewhere. Whilst we were both sober the doorman hesitated to allow us entry - we were both smartly dressed. Don't know why. Upon entry both barmen were busy and wouldn't give any eye contact. When we eventually got served both drinks were far below average. The place had no atmosphere so thanfully we decided to move on. I eventually got eye contact with a barman and asked to pay. £37.95 for 2 drinks!! This included the "optional" 15% service charge of £4.95! Unbelievable! The most I've ever paid for 2 drinks anywhere
Be the first to ReplyExquisite Greek cuisine
Nestled in the heart of Fitzrovia, Meraki has a lovely menu that tastes of the soul of Greece. 🇬🇷
There’s something for everyone here, and the most important thing to know is that they do all the important parts brilliantly. The Mediterranean flavours are big and powerful. I would definitely recommend saganaki prawns and octopus bbq from the starters and grilled sea-bream served with wild horta greens and lemon oil sauce or charcoal grilled lamb chops served with aubergine caviar and hummus.
While nothing can replace dining on a balmy evening on the Cycladics, Meraki has everything you need to be transported out of London and to the stunning views of the Greek islands.
Definitely looking forward to returning for more of this exquisite Greek cuisine.
