Nice restaurant.
Varied menu so everyone should find what they're hungry for, food is plentiful and we'll prepared. We didn't have room for dessert but the pies looked wonderful. May have to go back for pie in the near future.

I am a bit of a regular at this place as it's right around the corner from where I live. Was so inspired by the food when I went last week. Although menu changes slightly, they have such gorgeous flavours they change it up with. OMG was the food and service were perfection. Our waiter also picked all of our wines to match each plate with a story about the wine we were drinking. Such a good touch to the night. Love love love this place. Cozy, romantic and modern.

My boyfriend and I have been waiting a couple of months to eat at Naughty Piglets after hearing about how good the food is. I booked a reservation for 2 for this past Valentine's Day about a month in advance, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and dimly-lit, which was incredibly romantic. We sat at a high table near the bar at the entrance of the restaurant but still felt like we had a tremendous amount of privacy. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and explained the menu well. And, OH! The food. We ordered ham croquettes, the Devon crab, the gnocchi with lobster cream, aged beef, and the burrata, finishing our dinner off with the cheese plate. The crab was the highlight of the meal, creamy and delicious, fresh and light. We cleaned our plates after each dish, which were smaller than your average portion size but perfect to share between 2 people. The prices were a bit steep, but the quality and presentation of each dish were so worth it. Naughty Piglets was the perfect place to splash out for a special occasion and enjoy share-able plates of fresh, taste-bud-tingling food. Each dish was complex and delicious enough to have us wanting more, until our next plate was delivered! I would recommend booking in advance if you'd like a prime table or a later dinner time, especially on a weekend, and booking for a party of 2 specifically. The menu seems designed for that (as our waitress explained) and it makes the experience that much more intimate.

The food was delicious and the waiter gave us great suggestions for wines to try. The buratta was one of the best I've had. Make sure to book before hand; the restaurant itself is very small and popular.

I came for dinner on a Saturday evening and I would say that a reservation is a must. Inside the place is quite small with seating at the bar and a few tables on the side. They were a bit of a squeeze for four people though and we ended up moving downstairs although there wasn't a huge amount of room there either. The service was excellent and the menu was really well explained. Between four of us we ordered around eight dishes, the highlight was definitely the pork belly. We also ordered two desserts which were the chocolate and the doughnuts. It was a little more expensive than I would normally pay but it was worth it.

Fantastic neighborhood restaurant! Superb Food and very friendly staff! The dishes are small. There were four of us so we ordered one of each to have a taste of the entire menu. Everything was fantastic! We also ordered their deserts too!Great restaurant, great good, great staff and great evening.
Be the first to ReplyWe went for lunch and absolutely enjoyed every dish.
We ordered the croquettes, Devon crab, pork belly and beef, together with a few vegetarian dishes made to order. Everything was spot on -- perfectly flavoured and very fresh. I especially enjoyed the Devon crab and the beef -- they were perfectly substantive but not overpowering. Service was very good. We sat on the counter, facing the open kitchen, and got to interact with our waiter, who was engaging and helpful. Ambience was cosy and intimate. I hope they never lose the neighbourly atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyI heard about this place from someone I met through Yelp.
It was such a lovely surprise. My friend and I shared a bottle of hard cider. It was tart and perfect. We had John Dory, burrata, some delicious other tapas. The portions are little and for sharing. The staff was super friendly and gave good suggestions. I might come back for my birthday.

Naughty Piglets is a great addition to the burgeoning food scene in Brixton. If you want something more upscale than most of the places in the market, this is your spot! It serves modern, inventive cuisine at moderate prices. The service is also friendly and très amicale! We sat at the bar. You will need to literally climb up onto the bar stools as they are very high and designed for aspiring giants. A bit of a challenge if you have a couple of drinks underneath your belt already. That said, the bar is a great spot to eat at. You can see back into the kitchen and the wait staff are super friendly and up for a bit of chit chat. We started with the ham croquettes which were hot, crunchy with gooey hammy yumminess. They were a bit on the heavy side but delicious nonetheless. Next up, burrata, broad beans and olives. What they don't tell you is that it comes with a lemon curd like sauce which works amazingly well with the rest of the dish. The burrata wasn't the best I've ever had but I still really enjoyed this dish. Simple but the flavours paired together really well. We then tried the Devon crab, peanut and pickled cabbage. This was fresh and vibrant. I still prefer crab in the shell which tends to enhance to flavour of the meat but what was nice about this dish were the fleshy chunks of crab. I thought this was good but it wasn't my favourite dish of the evening. The boudin noir, cuttlefish and capers dish was beautifully presented. I quite liked this dish which was a great variation from the usual black pudding and scallops pairing. The capers really helped cut through the richness of the dish. Delicious! Our final dish was the BBQ pork belly, sesame with Korean spices which comes topped with salad and scallions. The was a yummy dish. The pork was melt in your mouth tender and paired really well with the freshness of the salad. A keeper! We also had a delicious bottle of gamay that our very knowledgeable server recommended to us. Our meal came to a very reasonable £85, including service. We had an excellent evening at Naughty Piglets. Everything was done right and the atmosphere was friendly and laid back. Definitely coming back!

Naughty, naughty, this is how you'll feel after a meal at Naughty Piglets. The menu is a selection of tapas and contrary to their name, they do not have pig only.I was actually quite surprised with the selection of fish/seafood the place offer. When we arrived, our really nice french waiter suggested we took the whole menu - there's only 10 dishes so it's not hard to eat everything when you're 4. I think the menu changes often but I would definitvely recommend the mussels with ham and the mackerel with pickled cucumber (the sauce was so good we've asked for extra bread to "sauce the plate" - not something you're supposed to do when you have manners, but it was so good, it would have been a shame to not do it).Bread itself was very very good - as good as french bread can get (a rare find in London).Wine list was very simple but with really unusual wines. I had for example Orange wine, a sort of white wine where they keep the skins of the grapes and give its orangy color. The staff is really really friendly and had real knowledge of their product. It was definitively worth a trip to Brixton.
