I am writing to offer two compliments of the Marriott
I am writing to offer two compliments of the Marriott Marquis Times Square and one minor complaint. I spent an entire day there. A nonprofit was holding a conference. I also snuck away for a bit to sit and work. The first compliment is the space they have for people to plug in is great. That was true throughout. Many venues in New York City are small and cramped. They have comfortable chairs and sofas and booths and high top bar style tables with stools. I rate them highly in this regard The second compliment is the food at the gala was not bad. The main course of chicken was moist. I have low standards for these functions. People are not attending for the fine dining. The logistics are not easy. To plate and to serve a ballroom of people trying to network is no picnic (well, literally or figuratively). The tiny complaint is the smart elevators. This is a first world problem. The system is confusing. The lobby is not on the ground floor. You have to ride up no matter what. These systems are intrinsically puzzling, and in this setting the problem is the bank of cars are no arranged linearly. As chain hotels in this market segment go, this establishment is designed well and runs well.
Be the first to ReplyNice big hotel rooms with comfy bed and outside views.
Really good food and lounge for special occasions and gatherings. Will be back and recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyHotel is decent but the room service is TERRIBLE.
Overpriced and so basic that it's ridiculous. The Continental breakfast is one hard cold croissant, about 1 1/2 sliced strawberries and a pat of butter. This costs $18?? I don't see how a company could be more greedy if they tried. Do better, Marriott.
Be the first to ReplyIt was an okay hotel.
Far cry from the DC Marriott Marquis which to me is in great shape. The front desk was friendly. I was a bit disappointed in the M club. $50 for a 9 year old to use the M club? Really? What a Rip off. I'm also used to the DC one which allows you to bring in more than 1 guest. It's in a prime location but not sure I'd stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyThis hotel is very very very busy but situated very close
This hotel is very very very busy but situated very close to all the three broadway shows that we had booked. Plus close to the subway line 1 that takes you down to Wall Street, Battery Park (for the Statue Cruises port to go to the Statue of Libery and Ellis Island). Quite expensive but this is New York and you are in walking distance to great restaurants and broadway shows. One annoying feature is that they try to get you to attend the Bonvoy travel program (90 min) if you are Bonvoy member. Didn't really have time during our busy schedule). The restuarant is so so and quite expensive. The buffet was $42 per person and we opted to order ala carte once. The rest of the time, you can get more reasonably priced breakfast food nearby. But the rooms were clean and the upper stairs were quiet.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a performance of "The Wiz" at the Marriott Marquis New Theater, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from beginning to end. The theater itself is a gem, offering a refreshing and enjoyable experience for theatergoers. One of the standout features of the Marriott Marquis New Theater is the spacious seating. Compared to older theaters, the seating here provides more room and comfort, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the performance without feeling cramped. It's a welcome change that enhances the overall theater experience. Walking into the theater, I couldn't help but be impressed by its brand new and beautiful ambiance. The attention to detail in the design and decor creates a visually stunning environment that sets the stage for an unforgettable experience. The Marriott Marquis New Theater truly exudes elegance and sophistication. The audio and visual aspects of the performance were nothing short of amazing. The sound quality was top-notch, allowing every note and word to be heard with crystal clarity. The visual effects added another layer of excitement and immersion, bringing the production to life in a captivating way. It's clear that the theater has invested in state-of-the-art technology to ensure a memorable and immersive experience for the audience. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Marriott Marquis for making this new theater available to us. It's a wonderful addition to the theater scene, offering a fresh and inviting space for shows and performances. I thoroughly enjoyed watching "The Wiz" in this remarkable venue, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch theater experience. In conclusion, the Marriott Marquis New Theater is a must-visit for theater enthusiasts and anyone seeking a memorable entertainment experience. With its spacious seating, beautiful ambiance, and exceptional audio-visual quality, it provides an ideal setting to enjoy the magic of live performances. Thank you, Marriott Marquis, for enriching our theater experiences with this fantastic new venue.

My recent stay at the New York Marriott Marquis was nothing short of amazing. From the seamless check-in process to the luxurious room with breathtaking views, every aspect exceeded my expectations. The highlight was dining at The View Restaurant & Lounge, offering unparalleled city views and delicious cuisine. With top-notch amenities and a prime Times Square location, this hotel is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable NYC experience. I can't wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyCame here for the Annual Easter Egg hunt at Broadway
Came here for the Annual Easter Egg hunt at Broadway Lounge; Restaurant is located on the 8th floor of the hotel and offered the Easter Brunch buffet with special guest- The Easter bunny. Made reservations prior and was super excited to get a table by the window. The spectacular view of Time Square all the while dining at this restaurant- made the experience that much more incredible. Buffet had all the typical brunch fanfare- I really liked the Shrimp Cocktail tower- Shrimps were really fresh and that cocktail sauce was super tasty. This Lounge has an outdoor Terrance that boast fantastic views of endless NYC skyscrapers and Time Square LED displays. This is a really grand dining experience- price might be a bit steep for brunch buffet; but it's worth it. Staff was also very friendly, and willing to helped take pictures for my fam. Restaurant also offered complimentary family photos with the Easter bunny. Such a lovely time spent during the holiday break
Be the first to ReplyThe location is good but it's also rough because you get
The location is good but it's also rough because you get all of the theater traffic. Close to subway and numerous restaurants. Very nice staff. My room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet is not worth it. Either order a menu item or go somewhere in Times Square. Check in and checkout was was easy even with our large group. The staff was very attentive. The only reason for the 4 stars is that it gets very crowded and the elevator waits. Would stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyEnjoying a spectacular view of Times Square, the hotel
Enjoying a spectacular view of Times Square, the hotel stands out. Beba, our room service attendant, was the most cordial and friendly we've ever encountered across hotels worldwide. This place is highly recommended for those seeking the dynamic and vibrant experience of city life.
Be the first to ReplyNot worth the price.
Same quality hotels nearby for better price. Restaurant ridiculously slow, wifi slow and spotty, rooms are spacious and view great but you're not going to spend that much time in it so why spend $$$$? Too many rooms and guests for great service. $30 destination fee then $30 credit is a scam. Nice front desk crew otherwise look elsewhere.

Clean hotel with friendly staff and great bar overlooking Times Square. Hands down The BEST GYM in any hotel I've ever been in. It is super clean. In fact, I'm here now and the gentlemen is wiping the floors as I type.Lots of equipment and it is kept up really well. Super large with numerous options, even has a row machine

Be the first to ReplyWhat a spectacular place! I visited New York City alone
What a spectacular place! I visited New York City alone after 16 years, and this was certainly the right place to stay. I felt so well taken care of here! Everyone was incredibly friendly, and always greeted you with a smile. I have to thank Farida and Charlie at Reception for accommodating me and setting me up at the M Club. Miz was a fantastic waiter at the Broadway Lounge. I met some of the nicest staff and guests here! Everyone was seeming to enjoy this wonderful building. Something has to be said about the amazing architecture! Your ears pop halfway up the tower. Very interesting too how the air pressure is maintained, which is why noise seems to be a feature of this hotel--the air is constantly drawn into your room underneath your door to your bathroom fan. This small opening is enough to hear the squeaks from the elevators and other guests talking; a pleasant consequence is the smell of food every morning from the kitchens below. I stayed on the 42nd floor with an awesome view up Broadway towards Central Park and the Hudson River to the west. My room was always cleaned and replenished very well. The essential oils soaps and lotions provided in the newly renovated rooms were delightful. Everything was just great here! The food was quite delicious too! I had so much fun. Every day the hotel became busier and busier as large conventions were held. Just the nicest people who seemed to be return customers! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone because of the location itself and everything that comes with this wonderful building is superb!
Be the first to ReplyI quite enjoyed our stay here while we were apartment
I quite enjoyed our stay here while we were apartment hunting. The room was fantastic and we couldn't have wished for a better view. We hope to bring the kids back one day.
Be the first to ReplyWe stayed in this hotel because it was right in Times
We stayed in this hotel because it was right in Times Square. My brother helped us to get this small suite and it was a good size. We had free breakfast and snacks in the evening as well. So we saved some money on breakfast meals. The staff is very nice and helpful. They're always making sure the guests are taken care of. I would definitely stay here again. It's in a great location and the service is great too! The building needs a bit of an upgrade but otherwise it's a great option.
Be the first to ReplyIt is like staying at a bus stop.
The rooms are ok and the service is less than ok. There is little reason to stay here. Room service is offered with a minimum of choices. There are no coffee pots in the rooms! With all the great choices-in NYC...move on!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a nice hotel.
The restaurant is very good. Our room was large, and quiet. I had paid extra for a "Times Square" room. What a great view! The bed was very comfortable, which is important after walking in the city all day. We really enjoyed it. But... there were some problems, and that's why the 4 stars instead of 5. We had paid for early check in, which was 2pm instead of the usual 4pm. So... when I went to the counter to check in, I was surprised to be hustled for an upgrade. We could check in Right Now if we ponied up an extra $450 for the four night stay. I declined. So then we were told we would be called when our room was ready. Well, the call never came, and our room was not ready until 430 pm. We had flown in on a red eye, and we were very tired. We did not appreciate the hard sell upgrade spiel, nor the discourtesy. So there's the bad. Did I say this is an expensive hotel? It is.Would we stay there again? Maybe.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice hotel in a great location.
The rooms were very spacious. There's 45 floors so the views were amazing. The lounge also had a nice vibe and great drinks.
