There's some France in Denmark!
If you love French cuisine this brasserie will not disappoint you even if it is located many kilometers from France. Fast and very attentive service. Dishes from the most typical French tradition: we tasted a shellfish bisque with cod querelle and hazelnuts, a bird breast with Danish mushrooms and broccoli and a pepper sauce as well as a fried cod with green beans, white butter in champagne and trout roe. Also interesting are the boiled mussels flavored with aromatic herbs. Non-trivial wine list with references from all over the world and a little less expensive than other places (but wine, we understand, in Denmark has unthinkable mark-ups for us Italians... Overall, very recommended.

Such a beautiful meal and setting, it’s been on my bucket list for sometime!! The beef wellington was to die for, and to make the night more special our waitress was so lovely, friendly and made us feel at ease in such a grand setting!!

Fantastic restaurant in the most beautiful surroundings. We got a round table with a view of Tivoli and all the lights. Appetizer Nimb selection caviar 15 g, which melted in the mouth. Main course ribeye, which was as tender as butter, as well as fries and béarnaise sauce. The dessert was selected cheeses, which were chosen from the beautiful cheese cart. A thoroughly lovely experience and the setting itself is almost worth it. Correct and sweet service with humor. We will definitely come again!

Had dinner and chose a number of wonderful starters. Moules frites, tartar and not least the lobster The bills speak for themselves and the service was top notch. Really good evening. However, I would like to mention that I work in the amusement park and therefore usually do not review here. But this evening was just one of many good evenings

Nestled within Tivoli Park, we savored dinner in a private dining enclave. Our visit coincided with a lively Friday evening, greeted by a dedicated lineup of service staff. The expansive venue exuded an informal ambiance. While the dinner for our group was satisfying, if not exceptional, the standout was the great creme brulee. Overall, a worthwhile option, especially for those willing to indulge a bit more.

This is not worth a second visit! It is not value for money and the service is unprofessional. We arrived for our 11 o'clock brunch reservation and were informed that we were 7 minutes early but could have our table anyway. The waiter was friendly but inexperienced. The food was good as was the sparkling wine. we were not informed of the procedure so we started off on the wrong foot. The cheese table looked the leftovers from a party the night before. We enjoyed our stay but because of the company and not the experience in the restaurant. There are much better experiences in other places.

Had lovely combination of vegetarian mixed vegetables with eggs and calves liver. Went together so well.

We came here for a coffee, on a Thursday afternoon around 3pm. The true reason we were there, was because I wanted to have a wedding dinner here, looking into tivoli, but boy oh boy. Stuck up front desk staff, hardly bothered greeting us up on arrival, the lady nearly lost it when I accidentally, called the brasserie for bistro which I apologised for, while she rolled her eyes at me towards her college. The restaurant… a mix between minimalistic (not in the cool Scandinavian way) and slightly tiered worn down looking. There was some odd music played, on the stage in Tivoli, during some yoga something, which gave us a very clear understanding, of the noice levels there must be, in The restaurant on a Friday doing summer concerts. The place was used by a mix of IT guys (not the rich and cool once), having an after work drink and what was clearly a tour groups of old and loud Americans dropping in for.. what I would call a rest, clearly not the first time random groups of pensioners not staying at the hotel use it for a discounted drink, pit stop and toilet on their way around Copenhagen, that topped with a rather plain, none impressive rather cheap looking toilet, yet at least clean and having to wait 15 mins for 2 simple coffees…. This is not a suitable restaurant for any 5 star hotel. God no! Never if I would even consider a normal dinner here never mind my wedding dinner! We are now having the dinner, stay and next day breakfast with our guests at “hotel D’angleterre”!
Be the first to ReplyUnforgettable for all the wrong reasons.
We were unable to dine on the terrace so opted for a table inside. We ordered our meal and wine. Our starters were fine although the green asparagus was very woody. Our main course arrived I took one mouthful of my risotto and new I could not eat it. We had to ask for attention as all the staff were busy clearing the dinner tables for the morning service. My husband and I were they only people in the main restaurant. We may as well have not been there. When they stood behind my husband stacking plates and cutlery he was so annoyed. I explained to the manager this issue but it was dismissed. The focus should be on the paying guest not the next service.

What was supposed to be a joyous occasion ended up being a very sad and uncomfortable experience for all the attendees at a wedding party at Nimb. How can Nimb seriously deny their responsibilty for an experience, that resulted in diarhea, vomiting and fever for all the dining guests at the party, and not offer a complete refund? Several guests had to enter electrolyte treatment to avoid severe dehydration and had to call in sick for work. Last but not least the bride and groom had to postpone their honeymoon, which was a gift from the guests. All dishes and drinks were served individually for each guest and handled by the staff. As such, it is even more concerning that Nimb are willing to deny their responsibility for the incident. We can certainly not reccommend that anybody chooses Nimb for a similar occasion, as it can have serious health implications. We hope that this review can raise awareness and help you consider whether or not you plan to dine at Nimb.

A friend and I visited Nimb Brasserie for dinner. Both of us chose dishes from the a la carte menu (a seasonal menu is also available). My friend chose the steak tartare classically served with an egg yolk. The tartare was very nice with good flavours and some water cress blended with the meat. I had the terrine with king crab and lobster served with pani puri (I had never heard of this before, but pani puri were small crispy balls with sweet/sour flavours matching the terrine very well). Our mains were dishes with lots of meat: my friend had the ribeye steak served with a garlic, french fries, and a salad on the side. Sauce was sauce Bearnaise. I had beef tenderloin (nice flavours, slightly chewy, but in general good). A crepinette from oxtail was also on the plate with a few bits of beetroot and a celeriac purée. A truffle sauce was added (not really any flavours from truffle, more like a glace). I would have liked a little less meat and maybe a few more vegetables, e.g. mushrooms. I ordered an additional portion of french fries, which was never served but still charged on the bill. We chose the same dessert, which was the restaurant's take on "Københavnerstang" (a classic, rather unsignificant ice cream). At Nimb this humble classic was elevated to a first class dessert with exactly the right combination of sweet, sour and freshness. We went for a nice bottle of Brunello, which at first was a bit chilled but after a little while got a nice temperature. I also had a glass of white Burgundy with the terrine. Our waiter - a kind young lady - took very good care of us and made sure, we had a nice evening at Nimb.

Be the first to ReplySpecial family meal
We tried to have our family Christmas dinner here but there were no reservations available on the 25th so we had dinner on the 26th. The restaurant adjacent to Tivoli's lights was magical. The entire restaurant was beautiful and service was impressive. I had the halibut and it was delicious. The portions are nice - enough to taste the flavors but not get too full to feel saturated. It was an expensive meal but a good place for special occasions.

Staff was very kind and view of Tivoli Gardens during Christmas was stunning. Food was tasty and beverage options were nice as well.
Be the first to ReplyVery Disappointing
Went last night - nice views of Tivoli, but very disappointing food. Main course (fish) was served at almost room temperature and when we mentioned this, were told that that was the way it was supposed to be. Nothing in the description suggests that it is a cold dish so clearly that was just a line the servers use to deflect complaints. And were the mashed potatoes also supposed to be room temperature? Really? Molten chocolate cake dessert took forever to bring out and then there was nothing molten about it; again at room temperature. The promised berries on top were rhubarb compote, with no prior mention of the substitution. We expressed our disappointment at both the wait and the quality of the food and were offered a free coffee which we declined. At a minimum, the desserts should have been comped, so low marks for both poor food quality and poor handling of our dissatisfaction. We had planned to go to the bar for a nightcap, but didn't feel like subjecting ourselves to more amateur hour hospitality. Bottom line (sadly), like most restaurants with a view, this is an operation geared for tourists, not a place trying to cultivate repeat clientele with great food.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely worth a visit if you are in Copenhagen, you won’t be disappointed
Great location, fantastic location and fantastic service. We had the set menu with tasting wines very good, and we followed with a great cheese board as well. Wines were very good as well, and the food was extremely good, with the salmon starter, duck main course the local speciality dessert celebrating Christmas
Be the first to ReplyMagical views for dinner
We booked for an early dinner and had a wonderful meal. We had a lovely view of the Tivoli Gardens which at night was magical. The food was great and well portioned and decent gaps between courses. The staff were attentive and not pushy. Very enjoyable and good variety on the menu. The only missing link was entry to the Tivoli Gardens or even the ability to purchase tickets at reception so that you can enter through the Nimb doors rather than walk round to the main entrance. Just a small touch!
