Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch Reviews from The Last Year
Great stay
We stayed at the Nobu for our wedding night which was an amazing experience. The staff were all helpful and friendly which made our stay even better. We also loved the location as the hotel is on a quiet street. Special thanks to Nina who helped us out during out stay.
Bog-standard, not worth the price!
Disappointing! Considering it's in a similar price range to the NED, the quality just wasn't there. The room was pretty unimpressive, rundown, dusty, not the cleanest. The towels were stiff and smelt damp - the kind of towels you'd expect in a premiere inn not Nobu. There was zero wow factor or attention to detail - zero complimentary things apart from coffee/tea (even less expensive hotels at least give you a wash bag), told them it was my partners birthday and there was zero acknowledgement of that (yet Dishoom brought him a gorgeous stack of free birthday pancakes - highly recommend them for breakfast!). The shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. The mini bar snacks ridiculously expensive (we had a pack of crisps that were disgusting and they cost £5). Room was too hot & stuffy to get a decent nights sleep. They don't even have a smart TV so no Netflix only your standard channels which, again, is pretty shocking for a hotel of this price. Just really bog-standard to be honest, the kind of stay you'd expect from a much cheaper hotel and 100% not worth the price. Wish I'd listened to the other reviews that said this! The only redeeming factors are the location and the staff at reception were friendly. You're paying for the Nobu brand and the location rather than the quality.
Almost 5 star
The staff at Nobu were excellent and more than willing to help with anything we needed. Don’t be surprised if you order the sliders (2 in an order) from room service and you have trouble finding them. They are not much bigger than a US quarter. Not kidding. Tasted great but come on Man. You can’t call these sliders as they are much smaller than sliders. Tasted good so order 3 orders. Also the Nobu restaurant is closed on Sunday, so plan accordingly.
Nobu spa
I sent my girl on a spa trip all the way from America and Renee made her experience worth while ! She was overly pleased. The massage was so good she said she didn’t feel anymore pain after that she was complaining about before. I highly recommend seeing her
Great all around experience
The stay was perfect and staff were incredibly accommodating. Rooms were clean, comfortable and we will definitely stay there again. Special call out to Nina who took care of us each day even walking us to a restaurant close by to make sure we could get a table. We stay at a lot of hotels and I would have to say this was one of the best by far. Nothing negative to say. Love the neighbourhood as well.
Great service
Great service and facilities , the hotel staff were very friendly and happy to help when needed. The hotel was clean and was very nice.
Perfect 50th birthday celebration
I booked an overnight stay with brunch as a 50th birthday treat for my husband and it really couldn't have been better. Our executive room was spacious, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, and we weren't aware of any noise from other guests or from outside. Bedding, towels and toiletries were all of a very high standard. Customer service was first class too, and special thanks goes to Sooj for sending up some surprise birthday cake shortly after our arrival. We were lucky enough to visit the bar on the day they launched their new cocktail menu, and I can honestly say the Neon B16 was amongst the best I've ever tasted! Brunch the next day was equally as delicious. It really was a fantastic and memorable 50th celebration for my husband, and I'd like to thank all the staff we encountered, at Reception, in the bar, and in the restaurant, for their impeccable service.
Highly reccommended
Was an amazing experience. The hotel is beautiful and location is perfect. The staff is super nice and helpful. The rooms are super nice and we were welcomed with some sweets in the room. They also give you a complimentary water bottle every day which I found amazing for the night.
Great stay
Our stay at the hotel was fantastic! The room was clean and very comfortable, which made our stay pleasant right from the start. But the real highlight was the incredibly friendly staff. Nina in particular stood out. With her charming manner and her ability to organize everything from restaurant reservations to excursion tips, she made our stay unforgettable. Overall, our stay at the hotel was a real highlight and we will definitely be back!
Japanese choice in London ❤️
Welcoming and warming location in the city , carefully furnished. Professional and empathetic staff. Alessandra was unsurpassed. Amazing food, we chose the selection menu, very good! My favorite was the soup. What the shame do not live in London 🥰
Nice hotell at a nice location
A lovely hotel, the rooms are really nice, house keeping are doing a great job, our room was immaculate every day during our 4 day long stay! Breakfast was nice, a bit confusing at first. Since no one came to the table to take our orders o or explain how it all works. I would not call it a great breakfast but ok. Also good to know that they make you sign a receipt every morning claiming it’s to register that we actually had our pre-paid breakfast. Turns out when we checked out that it’s so they can ad a service charge of circa 12 % per day. But the reception removed it when asked at checking out. The main reason for not giving more than three stars is that the staff in general are not very service-minded and and not paying attention (exept for house-keeping).
Thank you Donato!
Amazing experience at the bar. Donato was very professional and cheerful. We really enjoyed all his cocktails and suggestions. The Kentucky cold was superb. My girlfriend had a yuzu apple martini, and she was in love with it. Can't wait for the terrace. Well done!
Disappointed with this Hotel
First the good things about this hotel. It is ideally located for the underground. Liverpool Street station within walking distance, and the underground station Old Street even closer. Very modern, with all the amenities you would expect from a five star hotel. The staff were very attentive especially the concierge department, helping were they could. Now the rest. The room, as I said had all the amenities, and a lovely big bathroom, with a lovely big comfortable bed. Unfortunately the room itself was very small, with over complicated lighting. The view was very disappointing, (see photo )compounded by a service path, even though we were in the 6th floor. It’s most discerning to find someone walking past your window, while relaxing in your room on the 6th floor. We also found the hotel very overpriced, for what you got. It was barely a 5 star. Location was average at best. Shoreditch is described as up and coming. Well it’s not there yet. I don’t think I would come back to this hotel, or this area in London, any time soon.
Unique hotel with stellar service and excellent food
What a unique hotel! The ambience is cool elegance, Japanese themed, and sleek in design. The rooms share this aesthetic, and are well appointed with lighting, outlets (always important for travelers), and a bathroom that produces hot water right away, and drains smoothly. Our room even had its own Japanese tea set. And did I mention quiet? Once in our room, we could not hear any of the city noise that surrounds the hotel. Amazing. We ate at the Nobu Restaurant in the hotel the night we arrived and found the staff friendly and attentive. We did not have a reservation (our fault), so we ate at the kitchen "bar" and watched the chefs hard at work. Fascinating stuff, and the food was outstanding. (See excellent salad below). The thing I liked best, however, was how welcoming and helpful the front desk is at this hotel. Shout out to Lino Leite in particular for helping us navigate the food scene in Shoreditch, plus all the other useful tips he provided. There are lots of good hotels in London, but not all of them have standout staff members like Lino. Highly recommended!
5 star experience
Great stay at Nobu Hotel. Delicious dinner, modern rooms, and access to the spa. Visiting the sauna before a long haul flight was the best decision I ever made. Shout out to Sharm and the hotel staff for finding my Apple Watch and mailing it back to me. Thank you !!
Just didn't give the expected wow factor, bit of a let down.
Just not special enough unfortunately. Went for my 40th Birthday, have stayed in many hotels in London and thought due to the price this would be lovely. It was a small room on the ground floor and everything was just a bit meh! We've stayed in much nicer places for the same or a bit less money. They also freeze £100 damages security on your payment card which wasn't explained to us at check in so at first we thought we'd paid even more. The bed is okay (bit firm), the Japanese tea set is a trinket to make it feel luxe but fairly useless, the other tea and coffee provisions are basic , the air con didn't get cold enough and we also heard our neighbours enjoying themselves so not too sure on the room soundproofing! My partner says I should give it a 2 rating but 3 is average which I think is exactly what it was! The brunch is great, but the hotel lets it down.
Grest hotel in Shoreditch
We really enjoyed our stay at Nobu Shoreditch. We traveled with our pre teen daughters, the really enjoy the japanese theme and tea at the bar. Clean and quiet hotel in the center of trendy Shoreditch. Great restaurants, stores and market within walking distance. Great front staff, corteous and friendly. Nina, Chris, the other ladies and guys that forgot their names were all incredible, cheeers, thank you for doing our stay so pleasant.
Best place to stay in London
I highly reccomend this hotel! Its in the perfect area with plenty of restaurants and pub/bars/casual clubs the play great music after hours and are a short walk from the hotel. The front desk was friendly and helpful and gave me great suggestions on places to go during my stay. This area is full of culture and diversity!
Consistently great hotel in the heart of Shoreditch
I have stayed at Nobu a number of times and it is consistently great. Fantastic location, stylish rooms and great care taken of guests. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or to choose it as my place to stay in London again. Thank you for a lovely stay
The worst customer service you'll ever get at a 5 star
The worst customer service you'll ever get at a 5 star hotel. If you can book elsewhere I highly suggest doing so. They are rude to white people and they blatantly disregard your order request in the restaurant/tell you what to order. Only good thing about this hotel is the spa.

It depends how far out in the future your reservation is. If you posted a reservation hat was 2 months out, it’s unlikely many people will view your reservation. It could also be that your reservation is just not desirable.
