Odyssey Restaurant & Events Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
The view was so breathtakingly amazing, pics do not do it
The view was so breathtakingly amazing, pics do not do it justice. I was so taken aback at how gorgeous it was so unreal, so tranquil, so scenic. There was also a cute koi pond in the front with cute baby kois that was really nice to see too. Interior was very aesthetic and very welcoming there were lounge chairs. I ate inside but definitely wished I was outside. Food was okay had the chicken, sauce was good but wish there was more bc chicken was a bit bland. Bruschetta was my fav so flavorful. Service was good staff was very efficient. Thr experience of being able to see the whole cityview and hills was such an amazing experience I will never forget!

Hidden gem tucked up in the hills had incredible food and service. Music is not too loud, not so dim lit as to make reading the menu impossible, gorgeous view. Perfect mix of nice dress-up spot while not being suit-required (which my husband hates). This is now our go-to date night spot.

The service was excellent in this busy day , the ambiance is beautiful, but can use some face lift , the food was very good , but on the heavy side . Over all v good experience
I was invited to Brunch and ordered their "Hungover hash.
What a joke! It is served in a bowl which is filled to 85 percent capacity with roasted potatoes. A sprinkle of Prime Rib hash and two pouched eggs. The eggs were pouched well. I had to hunt for pieces of the hash. Who wants their meal to be 85% potatoes? The wife of the person who invited me also shared the same concern with her "Hungover hash" order, so I was not alone in the disproval.
First time here and loved it.
My babygurl brought me here for fathers day and we had a blast. Food was great, drinks were better and what truly made the whole experience the best was our service. Amina was our server and the bartender and just made the whole experience worth it. Great attitude super friendly and amazing spirit. Thank you for all your hard work and will definitely be back because of you.
nice place nice view nice servers nice music nice food!!!
nice place nice view nice servers nice music nice food!!! perfect!! no problem in parking! love this place especially Friday Jazz night with Larry!!
Dinner tonight was a very pleasant dining experience.
It started with Happy Hour and you can't go wrong ordering the calamari. Next our server Macy, answered our menu questions and placed our order. She was delightful and attentive to our needs. There was a slight glitch with the internet tonight, however we hardly noticed as Macy kept us cared for. The braised short ribs, half chicken and smoked tomato salad were outstanding. We'll be coming back soon!
braised short ribs were amazing!! We haven't eaten here in
braised short ribs were amazing!! We haven't eaten here in years, the food was amazing, but they do need to update the restauran. I would hate to see them go out of business some day because they don't put some money into the property.
Chris served us and was wonderful.
Could not have asked for a better night. Odyssey took care of us for our 37 years of marriage. Food is fabulous, cocktails are great, service can't be beaten. Strongly suggest and recommend
For all the years I had lived in the SFV, including during
For all the years I had lived in the SFV, including during my high school years where many people experienced The Odyssey at least once in their life, i.e., their prom, I was not one of those. So at age 69, I finally went to see what all the fuss was about this hilltop landmark. Sure enough, the views were great (even amid the smog) as I dined on brunch-type items. We were dining with friends, who frequented The Odyssey for brunch. They heartily recommended getting shrimp cocktail, so we did, and it was plentiful and delicious. That was a treat. As for our entrees, we each went in a different direction. My hubby and our two friends all had breakfast-y items, but I just wasn't in the mood. I went with a grilled chicken sandwich that came with fries. It was good, but it wasn't anything spectacular, either. I'd say it was ordinary, perhaps a little boring, but it certainly wasn't bad, either. My husband said the same of his dish, which was scrambled eggs, bacon and fingerling potatoes. I didn't taste his food, but I trust his opinion. We had a very nice waiter, who was eager to make sure all our needs were met. I'm just sorry I don't remember his name at this time, or I would've proudly displayed it in my review. That's what I get for taking so long to register this review.
I haven't always been pleased with the food and service at
I haven't always been pleased with the food and service at the Odyssey but we were there recently for my grandson's birthday and I was really pleased with the quality of the food, the very attentive young lady who was our waitress and also the great live saxophonist who set the tone for a wonderful evening - lookking forward to our next visit
This is a fabulous restaurant for having special events.
Great atmosphere, excellent staff, delicious food. Had my daughter's baby shower there. Highly recommend. The guests loved it.
Ambiance was nice and the chicken/food is very tasty but
Ambiance was nice and the chicken/food is very tasty but our server, Jacob didn't give us the complimentary birthday cake yesterday we thought he'd still come back to our table last night . We were waiting outside the patio in the cold
What a Cool Place!!! Amazing view! Great Food! Clean,
What a Cool Place!!! Amazing view! Great Food! Clean, ample restrooms! Great service! I recommend the chicken dinner with a wedge salad with Roquefort dressing. We've been coming here for decades. It's a great place, to reset and recharge your batteries (not electric cars...I didn't see any, but they could be somewhere in their giant parking lots...be careful if you park on the edge of the lots. There are no guardrails, and you, or your loved ones, could easily fall off a cliff!)
They have the worst manager ever, last time I will ever go
They have the worst manager ever, last time I will ever go here. I don't need to see employees get yelled at and degraded in front of everyone. Seriously, where did you find this chick! How can you expect your workers to work in that condition, be embarrassed in front of literally everyone and continue to offer your customers good service.
Great service and atmosphere.
Can't go wrong with Odyssey. Nancy took great care of us while celebrating our anniversary.
Beautiful location and view and good food.
However, as you drive up the hill, the road / driveway is filthy with trash, and there is a lot in the parking lot too. It is not a good first impression. It makes you wonder about the quality and standards of this venue.
Welp! 1st time here.
I'll keep it simple. This was our yearly Mother's Day get together. 1. We waited 40 minutes for our table (even though we had reservations at 2pm) 2. They seated us in a small table where we were literally elbow to elbow. 3. The food was not fresh AND OVERPRICED! 4. They rushed us to finish because they close at 4pm. 5. The cleanliness of the restaurant was not good. Nobody wants to eat a $50 meal next to a dirty table and floor. 6. 2 stars for views. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Ada compliance, I don't think so! Went to Odessa tonight
Ada compliance, I don't think so! Went to Odessa tonight for a Mother's Day Dinner, was seated at the last window table in the restaurant, seemed to be a beautiful view,we started dinner. During dinner, not 1, or 2 but 3 times during dinner other patrons, (who I felt sorry for) had to interrupt our dinner and ask me to get up and move my chair because this table was BLOCKING THE ADA RAMP!!! Seriously, your that desperate for extra seating that you block the ADA RAMP ,and cause a lady in a wheelchair and two moms with strollers to embarrassingly interrupt a couple having dinner ?! The older woman in a wheelchair felt so bad and apologized a few times . The last lady was so sorry cause she saw the other 2 bother me to move.!!! I actually felt sorry for them. This is on you , Odyssey! After dinner my husband, spoke with manager suggesting to remove that table and why , and was put off with a dismissive attitude from manager Mark with "YaYa I got it" not even an apology! This use to be a nice place Last time ! And maybe report to city re: blocking ADA ramp!! How's that for "YaYa!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommas.
You know it. My review my experience. My hubby brought me here today to enjoy the beautiful view and the brunch. We arrived at 10am which was our reservation time. I think that was the time they were opening at since everyone was waiting to come in or were seated inside waiting to be called to their tables. Everyone was in a very happy mood. We were greeted and did not wait long to be seated. Our table was at the end of the stair case. It was not bad just busy. Our server came right away and greeted us. He was very friendly. He explained the four course meal worked and he was off the get our drinks. I did not really have the stomach to be drinking so early so I just had the orange juice and the hubby the passion fruit iced tea. Our first course was a delicious charcuterie board. It was delicious and we were savoring it. Then came the seafood tray and it had oysters, shrimp and crab legs. I really enjoyed that. It was followed by a kale salad. I was not too fond of the kale so I just had a small serving. Then came our main dish which we had the pan fried fish with Thai rice and broccolini. It was delicious. I had never tried the rice before and I was in for a surprise. It was really good. It paired well with the fish and broccolini. For our desert we were showered with a tower or desserts. They were all so good. I could not possible say which was better than the other. Our server, the meal, the view made this Mother's Day simply beautiful. Will have to come back on another great occasion.
A bit disappointing
Very crowded place, and they seemed to have been confused with our reservation as they forgot to call our name when the receptionist have told us to wait . Not until we verified of our table did they realize they overlooked us after waiting for over an hour of waiting. Service was okay as they were very busy and they seemed rushed and the food was just okay. I feel that this place is ideal for big groups and events only and not for ordinary dining out. There were ample parking. And there is nice view if you’re lucky to get a table with the view. I wouldn’t go back there unless it is for an event or a big group dining.
Had a nice dinner.
Service was fair. Ordered a Prime Rib dinner and was served a Ribeye Steak. The server tried to convince me it was Prime Rib....but come on....I have been cooking and grilling 50 years and know the difference. It was tasty though....just not what was ordered. Bar service is rather slow.
Really nice high end restaurant.
The only bad thing is that if you're done eating you can't stay chatting at the table, they'll ask for it.
Brunch was delicious.
Our waiter George was fabulous. His french toast recommended was spot on. Though it was a cloudy day we felt on top of the world.
We had a delightful dinner tonight.
We started with tht jalapeno cornbread. Delish. My husband had the Australian rib eye. Perfect! I had the seared Ahi. Very nice. Black rice was unusual. We'll be back!!
Nancy was a great server.
Food was excellent. I would come back for family events or a date. Prices aren't cheap but it's good value.

It has a gorgeous view from the patio and It's a great place for cocktails. Unfortunately, prices on the food have gone way up and the service was extremely slow!

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
