Such poor value.
At $1000/night, I was expecting at least comfortable finishing touches and bare minimum services. The room had no main light switch, you had to turn in each small lamp individually. No one was there to greet us and its valet only, so there was a weird pileup of people trying to check in, and people stuck not being able to leave the driveway. After unloading ourselves, and moving the car mid unload to let a car get by, valet came out and took our bags. Which then took an hour and a half to be delivered to our room (note, it's not a large resort and we stayed literally right upstairs from the front desk. I would have gladly carried my own bag the short distance). Also, bring your own crib if you have a baby. Theirs are metal prison bars. The manager reached out and credited our valet cost, but honestly I still have such a sour taste in my mouth by the poor value and service of this hotel.
Be the first to ReplyI've stayed here twice back when it was affordable.
Second stay our room had cabinets in the bathroom falling apart and a stain on the bed. We also asked for an accommodation since our room was right next to a building where they were having a big film festival and it was very loud. We were there celebrating an anniversary and did not get the peace and relaxation we were hoping for. They said there was nothing they can do and couldn't even offer a discount. For the price you pay, you would not expect that. Also, they just keep upping the price. I did notice that my wife and I were treated differently (we are both Latino) by the snobby staff there. Now, when I check there prices, I see it's at least 500 a night (way more on weekends) and you cannot help wondering if it's a strategy to keep people of color or other marginalized populations away. They seem to have an unwritten strategy of making their resort only available for people in the 1%. We can afford this hotel easily as we are both tenured professors, but the principle of their implicit racist strategy will make us look elsewhere to spend our money.

the manager, Omar, was so disrespectful. honestly shocked for the price I paid and the service I received. never will I stay here again or recommend this to anyone
Be the first to ReplyTalk about a hotel.
This is more than a hotel. This is an estate where you can walk around. It's got little cubbies here there and everywhere. Rooms are great. Bedding is great. Show is great. It's a high-end kind of place but really what stands out is the grounds and the walking around the grounds which are incredibly beautiful. I think the only ding I would give them is it's a little forest in their grounds. Therefore there's some bugs so be careful on the bugs and wear your bug spray, but other than that I really can't even pick on anything they were phenomenal service was good. Bales was great restaurants were great. Food was great. Price was a little pricey, but you know that's what you have to expect at this place, five star experience I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I'll start by saying that we did not stay at the hotel and I'm glad we didn't book a room here. We received a recommendation from a friend to come to The Parker for lunch and were so excited. When we got there we met the host and told her we needed a table for 3. The host was all ready to take us to a table and then she saw our luggage and asked for us to take it to the front desk. We told her we weren't staying at the hotel and she said "sorry, we can't seat you for lunch." Apparently, they don't accept walk-ins from outsiders. We were upset because we took an Uber directly from the airport to the hotel for lunch. They should just put a sign up that says "Do not enter if you're not a guest" because that's how we felt.
Be the first to Replyluxurious and high end.
pricey but worth it. the rooms at the Parker are really nice. the bathroom is incredible and filled with high end french products. i love the turn down service and the staff are super friendly. this place is super classy - french music in the lobby, fancy bar, and comfy chairs to lounge in around their indoor firepit. the grounds are GORGEOUS with beautiful palm springs views. the restaurant is also really good. i love the free smoothie sample. they have great french fries and guacamole and the breakfast is AMAZING. definitely will stay here again and looking forward to my next visit!
Be the first to ReplyPoor service! Motel 6 experience with high end hotel
Poor service! Motel 6 experience with high end hotel prices! Unable to sleep for three nights because of banging noise and hotel did not offer a full or partial refund. If you're unable to provide the basics such as a quiet room with no technical issues. Hotel management values revenue over guest satisfaction. Parker Palm Springs you failed us! We will be reaching out to the hotel ownership very soon.

AHOY MATEY! Avoid this place! The whole experience is not commiserate with the prices they are charging. The decor, service, food, grounds and spa are all 3-star quality, but they are charging 5-star prices. And it feels like a swindle...it's all smoke and mirrors. After experiencing a long list of issues during our spa day, the front desk automatically charged me and my 2 friends 20% gratuity on a $700 spa package each and said it was a mandatory charge. I questioned the front desk more, and they confirmed again that it was mandatory. After I got home, I called the spa and spoke to manager. They confirmed my doubts: "it's not mandatory, but it's standard. I'll talk to front desk." What spa manager doesn't know that their front desk is automatically charging 20% to all customer bills? It's all just a big scam. If your going to train your staff to pander luxury to the point of obsequiousness, then first teach them what an actual 5-star, luxury experience is. At least that will provide some much-needed perspective for everyone Stop charging luxury prices for mid-products and services!
Be the first to ReplyThis review is of the grounds and wedding/event
This review is of the grounds and wedding/event planners/valet/ servers . We came here for a family wedding December 2023. The valet supervisors John and Ryan were awesome. We came from out of state and they let us park in front with our dog in his crate and kept an eye on him for us . They were very accommodating to our situation. Side note this is a pet friendly hotel. All the servers we came in contact with were super polite and helpful. The croquet lawn area was perfect for cocktails , small bites , and s'mores at the fire pit. The wedding the next day was just as beautiful. The grounds were lush with so many flowers and plants. The wedding planner put everything together flawlessly. The outdoor area where we had the reception was like out of a story book. The food was classy and tasty. The bartenders made great drinks. The dance hall was also very nice. If you want fantasy wedding , check out this venue. Side note. The wedding party did stay here and they said the rooms were lovely and huge .

The Parker is the BEST! Thank you for accommodating my Service Cat! Beautiful place with amazing gardens and delicious food. Class act employees with second to none service. Have stayed here many times and have been to 4 weddings here. Highly recommend staying here. Mezze platter at the bar is my signature snack.

Exceptional customer service, beautiful decor and multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy. My room was very well appointed and beyond comfortable. The Jonathan Adler design made each turn a fun adventure. The food was not 5 stars, but the ambiance made up for it.

I didn't stay here but I came here to get a drink and admire the midcentury modern decor.. soooooo dang cute. Luis was our server, he was attentive, funny, & offered to take a picture of us (he had all the good angles, seriously) We sat by the indoor fire & talked, such good vibes here! Would love to do a staycation!
Be the first to ReplyOk, so I'm leaving 4 stars because of the AMAZING service
Ok, so I'm leaving 4 stars because of the AMAZING service we received on our anniversary .. a special time because of this. However, the property and spa is quite run down and it is overpriced for what you get like other reviews say. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever stayed on and the grounds need major renovation. I would have given 1 star for this but we happened to receive extra great service that truly made up for it.

The Parker is one of those places you've just got to see to believe. The hotel feels tony and chic and the art makes you just want to walk around and take it all in. There's a very cute old-time fireplace and a great lounge area perfect for chatting and drinks. We went to the spa which was very nice. They offer you a cucumber vodka shot before you go in, which was pretty tasty! I had a facial and they use great products and I felt super refreshed afterward. They have steam and sauna rooms, a large heated pool, and a hot tub. There's also a large area to chill before or after services and you can order food and drinks. We did order a bit of food but it was pretty bland. Luckily we were able to make reservations at Norma's, the restaurant on site which was much better!

Dog friendly but SUPER expensive per night when adding a dog. Our room was small and overpriced. I can rent a house in PS that rocks and bring multiple dogs which is what I will do. I got shushed by a wedding coordinator when walking through the grounds with friends when we were having a great time. That shush is not my problem cause I'm paying through the teeth to stay there while my dog is by my side.
Be the first to ReplyI absolutely wanted to rate this a 5*.
We live in the area, and had not been to the Parker in years, so we finally planned a night out here. We chose Counter Reformation for our experience. Sadly, they missed the mark and seem to be struggling. Our experience started with $22 to hold the reservation, not put toward the bill, just cash out of pocket. We get it - busy, exclusive, so we paid it - but it raised our expectations. The Parker over-all has amazing grounds, but needs a face-lift. The vibe felt "run-down". They had closed restaurants due to low customers. We arrived to a not filled bar (not filled our entire time there). We knew and were prepared for the menu and pricing, but for a small $28 app - they did not wow, and for that price, we expected WOW. The service was attentive. There were 3 servers (too many for the small place). They were nice, but the atmosphere was a bit on the 'stuffy' side and they seemed to be rushing us or quick to sell a 'next thing'.The bites were good, not great. To be fair, they served us a complimentary Amuse Busche, too. It was the best bite of the night: fabulous. But 1 app was 4 bites total, and not that good. They fell flat. Definitely not a value - and I do not mean price alone, I mean over-all.We had 2 apps & 3 drinks total. The food / wine was $186+tip. Add parking, reservation fee and tips: We paid over $235 for a 1 hour disappointing and mediocre experience. Here is the thing... their booking fee and parking mandate all raised the bar on our anticipation of the evening, as did the price of their wine $18 glass for 5oz of again - good, not great wine. It did not bode well for being impressed. Disenchanted is the best word I can use to describe our evening.

Be the first to ReplyThe Peak Reservation system to book a reservation at
The Peak Reservation system to book a reservation at Counter Reformation is an absolute rip off. This restaurant has been one of my favorites, but since the pandemic it has changed for the worse. Before, you could show up and wait, which was part of the allure. The busy atmosphere and exclusive feel made the place a definite destination. Now, book your seat for $30 or $40 a person and it doesn't even go towards your bill. Really?? In Palm Springs?? Who the F$&k do they think they are. It's good, but it's NOT that good to pay for a seat at the bar at an empty restaurant. It's arrogant. Never again. I feel bad for the staff that used to enjoy a packed outlet at the Parker, now it sits empty! I don't understand the model at all. This experience is not a "one off" for me, it's been my experience the past few times. It's sad. Sorry Mr. Parker whoever you are, wake up..... As a reply to the manager's response: I think you still miss the point. After being turned away multiple times at the gate for not having a reservation, it seems to be implied that reservations are it's required. Whatever. The inconsistency is an issue for your team. Run your business any way you want. As a local and someone that used to frequent your establishment, I won't anymore. Good luck.

I was anxious to go to this restaurant as I had heard a lot of buzz about how beautiful the setting was.The setting was OK for an outside restaurant in PS. Nothing special. The food was terrible! I got an Ahi fish sandwich. The fish was chopped up and flavorless. It looked like something out of a cat food can. Plus, it was supposed to come with green papaya salad and mango. It arrived with some chopped iceberg lettuce and pickled ginger straight from a jar.My friend got the cheeseburger, medium rare, which was cooked to well done.We should have sent both meals back. I never send food back, but this was such badly prepared food, it would have been totally fair. And the ice tea was $8.00 per glass. This place sucks. They stay open by ripping off unsuspecting tourists. I live in PS...never again.

We came here for a long weekend just to get out of LA and see the side of Palm Springs that we normally haven't. After a long reflection we thought of and chose the Parker and off we went. It was an incredible stay. The hotel itself is not only swanky and chic, it's a stunning property. From the private entrance and valet you are greeted into another world. Blenko glass, C Jere metalwork, Jonathan Adler everything and attention to detail are over the top. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was stunning with lion faucets, marble, a seventies marble and glass vibe with a nice patio. Enjoy lounging in one of the pools, grab a drink at lemonade before chilling or head to the mini bar after dinner and gaze into the fireplace while chatting with your friends. PSYC is open 24/7 so you can get your workout on and the whole sports club itself must be seen or a place to be seen in. We rarely bumped into other guests expect at Norma's and the pools and all were very chill and courteous. Can't wait to return!
