The food was flavorful! Great for the super-tasters.
We visited on a busy friday night and the staff was very courteous and attentive to our table. Very warm atmosphere, perfect for date night.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for a lunch birthday celebration.
Service and food were great! We were very happy with the everything we ordered, especially the lamb biryani. Lunch thali was a hit too.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, so I finally went with a friend for dinner. The interior was simple, but nice, complete with white table cloths. There was a calm, peaceful ambiance. Of course I ordered the Mango Lassi, which was refreshing, sweet, and creamy. In terms of food, my friend and I shared the Mixed Grill ($35), Shrimp served with Coconut Rice ($33), as well as Garlic Naan ($6). The Mixed Grill consisted of Lamb Chops, Salmon, Ground Lamb, Tandoori Chicken, and Chicken Chop. All of the meat was perfectly charred, slightly crispy, delightfully tender, and wonderfully well seasoned with bold spices. The Garlic Naan was buttery with plenty of pieces of garlic, making it have a strong taste of it. I wasn't a huge fan of the Jhinga, which were shrimps in mustard seeds, curry leafs and coconut milk, but the accompanying coconut rice was aromatic and cooked well. Service was good. Prices were mid range. I would love to return to try the Kerala Moilee (Fish) Weekend Lunch Thali.

Chicken biryani was very mediocre, rice lacked flavour and chicken was very dry. Appetiser was good. On the really negative side, they forgot to prepare the food so delivery was very delayed. Better places in the vicinity.
Be the first to ReplyA very awesome place to eat authentic Punjabi food.
We ordered three thali, all of them turned out really good.

Loved the service and the food! Menu has soo many unique options so i have to come back for another round. I would definitely come back for the shrimp!!
Be the first to ReplyWe had an amazing meal last year and returned today.
Three of us got the thali and then ordered a few other dishes. It was such a disappointment. The dal pippali was lukewarm and sour. The special duck dish had pieces of duck that were unrecognizable in some sweet sauce and the duck was impossible to cut through. The side dishes on the Thali were mediocre but a bit unappealing. I had the host which was probably the only tasty dish.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food and very courteous service.
Matter paneer and salmon tikka were excellent. Even the papadam was better than usual. I'll be back!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food and superb service .
.. love it .. ordered so many food items this time and everything was very tasty ..
Be the first to ReplyI won't call it authentic Indian food.
The bhajiya, saag paneer, and bhindi was great! I ordered the Kolhapuri chicken thali. I am originally from Kolhapur and yet knew it won't be the same as actual, but what they served was literally nowhere even close. Nor did it match with the description on the menu- made me think if they served me the wrong one. The service was super late, we waited for 30 mins. But the waiters are kind, the place is clean, and is an overall good place!
Be the first to ReplyBest Indian restaurant in NYC.
Fantastic. Wonderful Biryani. Best I've had and the service was gracious even though they were very busy.
Be the first to ReplyNothing that would wow you.
The food is good enough though. We had lamb curry, which was delicious. We were disappointed to know that the fish in the dishes was just tilapia, so we did not order it. The service was excellent and quick as was the dim light ambiance. If you know anything about fish food in India tilapia is pretty much the bare minimum. There are MUCH better more authentic options like pomfret or hilsa, king mackerel and these are available widely in the tristate fish markets.

Hosted a get together with family and friends on March 19th 2023 @ 2nd floor Party hall. Had amazing time. All appetizers and food was delicious. Had total privacy and lots of fun with music , karaoke and dance. Open bar with all premium liquor was the best. The Service was unbelievable. All dishes served steaming hot. Absolutely loved the ambiance. Great location in NYC. Highly recommended for all occasions.

Good drinks. Small cosy restaurant. Can be loud at times because of the space constraints. we went with our baby and he was content and so happy. Service is quick , but they do not have some basic Indian dishes which was surprising . Overall good experience

Mohamed, great time with him as my server! Shrimp biryani very tasty!! Raita was perfectly tangy to go well with the rice. Thanks for the last minute hospitality. The paneer isn't the best I've taste, but it will do for a night out. They do have a great spicy paste if you're into spicy!!

Great food, quick service, and spicy overallIt was a little dead in there so make sure you're going with friends not a date. Lotta space, but great food. Maybe takeout would be best?

Amazing ambiance. Restaurant owner is a true gem with excellent hospitality. Highly recommend

Pretty cheap Indian food for the big portion that they serve. They have a special lunch menu and this experience is based on that. The goat curry is really good; the vegetable biryani is quite spicy, I don't really like it. They have different side dishes/sauces to eat with the rice, which is pretty cool. Garlic naan is good and the portion is pretty big.

Service great, in spite of the restaurant being under renovation. Good was not as good as I remembered it from my previous visit to this restaurant... having said that - I'll come back again to make sure!
Be the first to ReplyA friend took us here.
My first time to try this place and I enjoyed the thalis a lot. We ordered 3 kinds of thalis. I love the fish curry a lot then the lamb and the least one is the tikka masala. Service is just ok. Not as warm as I expect it.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is always really tasty and the service is good.
The food is not excessively greasy. Def recommend for solid Indian food.
Be the first to ReplyThe food here is slightly above average.
My friend and I ordered chicken thalis (the lunch special for $20.95 each). It came with many tiny little plates of appetizers consisting of soft corn, mini salad, chickpeas, potatoes and good main dishes. It said on the menu that it would also come with dessert, but we were never offered any dessert nor did we order anything else because the wait staff was rudely rushing us to finish our food. We later learned that they close at 3:00 pm on a Saturday afternoon. We had arrived at 2:00 pm so we were very rushed and unsettled. There was some internal drama and verbal disagreement between waitstaff, which everyone in the restaurants witnessed. When I asked my server how he was, he responded "same shit, different day." While I appreciate a sarcastic sense of humor, it was really inappropriate. I'm not sure if this was a family owned restaurant with the employees all snapping at eachother but the service was very below average. The wait staff seemed very annoyed at us and all the other patrons for being there. We were met with eye rolls. It's a shame because the food was good. But I'm not going to pay for people to be rude to me again. As New Yorkers, we all deal with enough attitude on a regular basis:

This restaurant experienced a slight knock on effect at the end of the pandemic, but it is back with a vengeance! I just had an incredible meal with a group of 18 students. Everything was just perfect.Meal:2 full tandoori chicken 2 shrimp curry2 goat curry2 Deg ghosht1 duck chettinad1 tikka masala Plus garlic and rosemary naan and paapduns. From the arrival of the thin, crispy, utterly fresh pappadums to the beautiful, fragrant basmati rice, everything went perfectly. Everything perfectly on time, perfectly cooked, utterly fresh. As good as it could possibly be, service and cooking, The whole experience.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious authentic Indian cuisine.
All your favorites and many vegetarian dishes. It's dark instead so bring your flashlights.
