Michelin rated Chefs-kiss pizza
Pizza with a Michelin Bib Gourmand award? Certainly deserved it. Arrived 10 minutes before opening which was a great idea without a reservation. Had one spicy sausage diavola and a Margherita, both with incredibly charred and crunchy crust. The saltiness of the dough is the main characteristic and was superb with a sweeter than expected tomato base. Bit early for a beer on this day, but they do have draught, so a tea margarita with mint was also delicious. 4/5 as it is pretty expensive for pizza. £41 for one medium, one small and 2 drinks is punchy even if you have got a bib gourmand, but hey they have a bib gourmand for good reason!
Be the first to ReplyTokyo Style Pizza is a must try
One of the things I wanted to try in Tokyo was Tokyo style pizza. Hear me out, the Japanese like to perfect all things so pizza making is one of them. Enter Pizza Studio Tamaki, one of the best pizza joints in Tokyo, if not the world. It's Michelin Bib Gourmand rated so it's gotta be good, right? Well it is. We showed up around 7 pm without a reservation. I asked about the wait for 2 people and the guy looked at his screen and said he could seat us at the bar. Great! We were excited. The place is small but there is seating upstairs as well. We ordered a few drinks and then opted for the Margherita and Diavola pizzas. They brought us out a small shot of corn soup as an amuse-bouche. We were definitely in for a treat after that. The pizzas are made to order in the wood fired pizza oven. We had a prime view of the pizza-making while in our seats. The pizza was placed in front of us as they got finished and sliced. We started with the Margherita which is tomato sauce, garlic, oregano, and basil. It was so good. The pizza crust is crispy from the mixture of rice flour and regular flour (although I think they'd use 00 flour here). The texture was really good as was the simplicity of the ingredients. The Diavola was next. The sausage, bell pepper, and olives added were a great touch. My husband was a fan of these toppings. He has been perfecting his own pizzas at home and claimed he could make something similar. Time will tell if he does but for now I was super happy to have tried Tokyo style pizza in Tokyo.
Be the first to ReplyLiterally, the best pizza...
This is the best pizza that I've ever had, and my husband and friends (another couple) agreed. The crust was outstanding, and the flavors were just so good. We ordered a variety of pizzas, and every one of them were good. We also had the opportunity to say hello to the chef, who was so friendly. The only problem was that we didn't get a chance to go back there!

Went by. was closed for remodeling. Which is fine, but please mention it on your social media, so we don’t hike over there just to be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyTasty Pizza in heart of Tokyo
Shared four pizzas, salad, bottle of wine and appetizers with another couple. Everything was made in front of you. Thin crust crispy pizza which is hard to find outside of Europe. Good wine selection.
Be the first to ReplyPizza at it’s best
Where to start… the food is excellent and the service team look after you so well, even if you speak little to no Japanese. Eating on your own can be very boring on a business trip, but watching their chefs create amazing pizza for the huge 500 degree wood fired oven is fascinating. Pizza really is an art form and these guys mastered it!

Discovered this wonderful restaurant via a friend's recommendation. The pizzas were fantastic and you could see that the team at the restaurant we all very enthusiastic in their service and food preparation. There was an apology on the menu for the price increases due to inflation, but honestly, none was needed as the food was worth every Yen.

Great little pizza place amazing atmosphere delicious pizzas - best we have had in years. Didn’t read any reviews beforehand and walked in without a reservation - got a seat on the bar watching the pizza oven. Nice g&t and delicious puddings too. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyGood place
Very good service, pizza - price/quality ratio could be better (but pizza is not too greasy, which is great), overall - if you’re hungry and want to grab something nice- this is your place to go!
Be the first to ReplyMichelin Guide know their stuff - Simply the best pizza in Tokyo
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Interesting range of pizzas, appetisers, desserts and drinks. All pizzas are the same size (to fit the paddle and the oven I guess) and are just like the ones you make yourself if you've ever been lucky enough to have access to a pizza oven. Super fresh ingredients. Delicious dough/crust. Fabulous cheeses. Book a table and show up on time. It's a pretty small restaurant and always busy. Deservedly so. But if you want thin/thick crust/deep pan small/medium/large more American style options go elsewhere. This place is all about doing a particular thing SO SO well. Michelin Guide sees that. Try the 5 Formaggi served with a small jug of honey on the side.

This restaurant was a random decision by a colleague to visit. Only later did we discover it serves the best Pizza in Japan. I have to admit, "the best pizza" was not what my mind screamed when I took a bite, but it was very good.
The dough was perfect, with a salty crust which I love, and the toppings were of very good quality.
They only serve 2 types of pizza, and I think that makes them even better. Tight Japanese restaurant though, even in C19-times I feel it can get crowded quick.
Very bad experience and arrogant Chef...
The customer service was a disaster, i don't expect to have a Michelin star service but this was awful. Dirty table when we arrived, staff taking forever to bring the beverages. The pizza took a considerable amount of time to come / way too salty, we asked to be less salty for the second round and it was the same. Do not recommend at all.
Be the first to ReplyThis pizza is on a global
This pizza is on a global level of deliciousness. The dough is a cloud and very soon after your first bite you realize you’ve eaten a whole pie. No cash taken here, bring your card!
Be the first to ReplyVery good pizza! Lovely crust!
Very good pizza! Lovely crust, but a bit too salty for my taste. Size of pizza is small, so if you are hungry do order an appetizer. Small restaurant, lovely. Cosy place. Would gladly return.
Be the first to ReplyGreat little pizza place in Roppongi
Great little place in Roppongi. Wood fried pizza with a smoky crust. The vegetables were organic and the cherry tomatoes tasted like nothing I have tasted before. Nice wine selection as well as a few digestives. Perfect.

I have been in Tokyo now for about two months to take a course in Japanese cuisine and I truly enjoyed my experience here.
I have been in the restaurant business for over 30 years in Italy and Miami
I wanted to try the pizza studio Tamaki based on some good friends recommendation. I arrived at the restaurant for lunch around 1:45 pm and asked if I could be seated, the server at the door told me that they didn't have anymore pizza dough left therefore they couldn't sit me. I asked if I could have at least something else from the menu and a glass of wine, the server then asked someone else if it was possible and after a brief discussion with another server that apparently was a manager he returned and told me that they only had 1 pizza dough left so I could have it but no other items fro the menu where available... I placed my order and when the pizza was served it was delicious and very well done.
Two days later I wanted to bring another friend with me and told him that I had a very good pizza there and wanted him to taste it. We showed up at the restaurant at 8 pm and again the same server / manager told me that they didn't have anymore pizza dough left...this was 2 hour prior the official time of closing of the restaurant as advertised on the internet. I was quite disappointed (particularly because we took a 40 minutes metro raid to get there ) then I asked if we could at least have something else from the menu and the answer was a simple and dry no !
I felt that although they had a few empty seats at the counter they where just not willing to help in any way. I can't understand how they can choose to have empty seats if they've run out of pizza dough ( witch I don't believe) when they have several other items on the menu beside pizza.
I will not return
Amazing Pizza, best in Tokyo!!
If you love pizza you must go! It’s so delicious! We had a salad with buttery prosciutto that was excellent & we split a pizza (they were able to do half & half with the toppings as well), it was easily the best pizza I’ve had in Tokyo, which isn’t known for pizza. The restaurant is cozy, the staff speak English and they were very friendly. The big pizza oven & being able to watch them make the pizza added to the atmosphere. It’s a very short walk from the train station as well. Don’t pass this place up! There are two locations as well, we visited the original.

Don’t have much to say other than YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PIZZA!
PST pies are simply amazing and every bit worth the hype. Blown away!
Was really great
Only issue there wine by the bottle I think is expensive for what it is. Pizza was amazing and meatballs the same. Look at the wine that was 5500yen allot and not even a vintage wine

This was featured in an "Ugly Delicious" episode so we had to try it while in Tokyo. It was a 5 min walk from the subway station. It's on a corner, a couple tables and bar seating downstairs and upstairs seating as well. Their menu was packed with lots of goodies. They charge more for your second glass of wine than the first so it's better to get a bottle. They have hooks under the stools to hang your bags.
We started off with a green salad with prosciutto, the Tamaki pizza, and then a white pizza with sausage. All were delicious and all plates cleaned of food. We then had the tiramisu which was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The service was excellent and there wasn't too long of a wait. Cash only.
