Great Service!
We ate at Real Coconut after a long journey and arduous traffic. The food at The Real Coconut hit the spot. Pablo was excellent and patient while we ordered, did not rush us, and yet gave helpful suggestions for what to eat and drink.

Based on reviews here as well as a recommendation from our concierge we had high hopes for this place for lunch. Unfortunately, we had just an OK experience. We tried it for lunch on a Monday - they were not particularly busy. The location on the beach is gorgeous and the decor and seating is comfortable and inviting. Unfortunately on our visit we found the service to be indifferent at best during our entire visit. We were excited about the menu and tried a grilled chicken wrap and margherita pizza (dairy, and gluten free). The chicken wrap was fine if not inspiring. The pizza was very undercooked and frankly cold when served. Given the reviews we were disappointed, I can't help but wonder if we just caught them on a bad day. Unfortunately, there was enough there to move me to try it again soon. Three stars for a a great setting and an interesting menu despite our experience.

This place was amazing, the staff were incredible. Amazing quality food, locally sourced, all sustainable, clean eating. My mum and I were here for most of our trip - we loved the health shots and the different types of meals they had.

Terrible experience. The food is not bad, average quality. The service is bad though, all the waiters have a bad attitude, you feel like they are doing you a favor. Really expensive, outragous prices. The location is nice, but I would not return.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and amazing staff, beautiful spot
I have a lot of allergies and to find a place like this while travelling was a dream - I came back to this area to come back to this restaurant! The kitchen and waitstaff were so patient with all of my questions and made sure that everything was safe for me to eat. Yes, the food is not cheap but that’s the cost of higher quality ingredients and food sources, as well as of course the beautiful location. I’d like to specifically thank some of the waitstaff that were so gracious and went above and beyond; Ernesto, Manuel, and Antonio. I’ll be back, and I already tell all my friends about this magical spot.

I literally pointed to the menu where Sopa de Lima (lime soup) was. It is my favorite dish in the Maya Riviera. Apparently there was a choice of vegetarian I did not see but the waiter didn’t ask which one I wanted and so brought me the vegetarian version … of course. God forbid someone ate a chicken. So, in spite of them not asking which I kind I wanted, I agreed to keep the soup but asked for another Sope de Lima with chicken and, this time, I pointed to the Sope de Lima chicken in the menu and, with my limited Spanish, said “con pollo.” So, apparently not hearing the “con” (with) part, or seeing my fat finger pointing at the word “chicken” under “SOPE DE LIMA,” I was then brought a plate of random chunks of what I think was chicken, though I’m not sure because I get the sense that this restaurant doesn’t like you very much if you’re eating meat. Maybe they should simply stop serving it. Either way, if you can’t even get what you want in a restaurant by pointing at the menu, you just shouldn’t go. I gave them two stars because the smoothie and the cocoa milk were both great but the service was imbecilic and the language barrier shouldn’t be an issue when you’re literally pointing at menu items.
Be the first to ReplyOrganic, gluten-free deliciousness
We stopped in for brunch after a couple of days of carb-laden Mexican food. The All-Day Breakfast Bowl was laden with delicious healthy veggies and grains. I had to try the 12-hour chicken bone broth, which was as rich and delicious as it sounds. I am nobody's gluten-free gourmet, but the coconut flour bread was light and nicely textured. Can highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTasty healthy meal with great service from Carlos!
The food at Sanara is delicious- super fresh ingredients and great taste. I ate there at least 4 times and Carlos was my waiter each time-he was very attentive and had great recommendations. Get the brocolli avocado salad!! I also did the yoga at Sanara (hotel associated with the restaurant) which I enjoyed.

This is a great place for a coffee, lunch or dinner. We did all 3. The food is delicious from the omelette to the tacos, caprese salad and the broccoli and avocado salad are delicious. Service is excellent, one day it rained a little and the staff were very quick to move all the external patrons to inside. Definitely be back
