Amazing place!
This place is 100% recommendable to everyone who wants to do something different but still with high quality food! Surprising dishes throughout all 6 courses. Impressive staff who lives up to the high standards of the restaurant. We ordered the dessert twice (after 6 courses!) - it made me think about my own sustainable (or not) cooking style as I was impressed by the taste of the dishes. The atmosphere of the place guarantees already a cozy evening. Congratulations to the team: this is not only a cool concept but also high level of execution!!!

Be the first to ReplyThe most Swiss restaurant
The most Swiss restaurant You are able to find.
1. Menu (this book on the foto) is written explicitly in Swiss German. (For those who don’t know, usually the menu in Zurich ich in high German).
2. In the wine card there are eines only from Switzerland. And for you internal sommelier - there are over 400 of varieties.
3. Wine card is given in a form of travel diary, and each position is hand written. (Remember form the pout above - there are over 400 of wines).
4. Restaurant is located in the building from 1837. Food is cooked exclusively from products which were available on the local markets that time. As a result you can’t get there anything made if avocado or paprika. But be sure - you’ll try plenty of new tastes.
5. For example on the first plate is “Haferwurzel”. Just google it. I not only never tried it before - I didn’t know that plant exists.
6. Restaurant offers three types of menus - small, middle and big, 3, 5 and 7 dishes respectively. That approach allows you to get the full picture - much more impression if you’d offer a starter and main.
7. Service earns a separate applause from my side. All thought over to the smallest details. When we were still enjoying our aperitif Prosecco they asked us to chose wine for the dinner and brought immoderately a bottle. At first I was annoyed: “Why so fast - I am still having my sparkling wine?!” All became clear after a short explanation from the waitress: “I’ll leave the wine hear to breath”.
8. Super home atmosphere. I had a feeling as on some home dinner, where came some extended family. You don’t feel brave enough to talk to those people, but at the same time don’t feel uncomfortable in their presence.
9. Even toilet looks like my home, where I usually leave my nightgown hanging. :-)
10. Now the question you are the most curious about - what this all festival costs. 350 CHF including tips. Might seem a lot, but it is Switzerland. Here simple burger with a beer would cost around 50 CHF, so for two - 100 CHF. What we paid is a standard prose for fine dining.
