Restaurant Drouant Paris Reviews from The Last Year
Wonderful experience, impeccable service of perfectly
Wonderful experience, impeccable service of perfectly prepared foods in an elegant space!
Excellent 2nd arrondissement modern French restaurant
Excellent 2nd arrondissement modern French restaurant great food and presentation, top notch service, in a very nice set of rooms. A little more expensive than a bistro, but worth it. My entrecôte was perfectly cooked, with a great green pepper sauce. The citron tart with sorbet was fantastic. We loved the "vin de France" viongier souillard white wine. Highly recommended.
I'd probably give Drouant 3.
5 stars. Started with the leeks and butternut squash soup. Leeks were good. Felt very French. The soup was good but it was very lukewarm when it arrived which diminished the taste. Had the mushroom ravioli (tortellini) and it was good. Not amazing, but solidly good. The sauce is broth. Also had the veal shank. I'd definitely skip this. Came out pretty rare/raw, and was very bland. Not worth it. The staff was very kind and attentive. But almost too attentive. Hovering a bit. But they were lovely. Their cocktail list is excellent. I'd go back to sit at the bar and get a drink but I probably wouldn't eat dinner there again. I'm not sure which dishes earned them the Michelin recognition, but I could've done without this visit.

Sadly this was one of the best restaurants in Paris for many years running. It had one star and then 2 stars, now it has none. It certainly does not deserve any!...I have been here many times in the past and would never recommend it at this time. We are in Paris s3 times a year as I have famiily there. Going to Drouant was a highlight but over the past 5 years we have not been. Service was horrible. The captain at the table did not even discuss the menu. The foie gras is not home made, it is cut off a store bought loaf. The sweetbread dish ( vol au vent) sounded delicious until it was served. See Picture below). The sweetbreads were small chick nuggets, actually more bread surrounding the piece than actual meat. They were hard and cold. The seared foie gras was cold. There was a server who literally doused the dish in gravy making it inedible. There were more vegetables than worth the 60$ charge. My wife ordered the Sole. Great dish!! Except, one, it was priced in grams and they gave her a whole fish rather than asking how many grams she would like. It was cold and rubbery, not a flaky sole. My fork stood up in it like a tent pole! The captain has the responsibility to ask how much a patron would like if it is billed in grams or say per shrimp etc. This was 90$, poorly overcooked and tasteless, again covered in too many bread crumbs. All in all it was a 300$ night that forced us to go the the Tabac next door for the same quality but for 50$..I have no issue spending money as I am a gourmand. Having been best friends with Jean Claude Vrinat, the owner of Taillevent, and eaten there 6 times a year for 20 years, and was at his funeral sadly , so food is not an issue. ( we were at Lasserre the night before...wonderful meal, presentation, and staff). Sadly the company that owes this place should dump it out of their list ( they own Taillevent as well) Truly horrible!!! And the place was half empty at 8pm..that says alot about a bad restaurant who rests on its old forgotten laurels ( for some reason I can not load the photo..sorry)

Are there a few nights ago on my last night in Paris, wish I found it sooner, would eaten there twice. Top notch food and service, throughly enjoyed myself
Very nice place, very French food.
We had a limited menu for our large group but the food was very good.

Stumbled upon this place during our first trip to Paris and I am so glad we did. It's a little off the beaten path but it's in a great part of the city. The ambiance, the service and the FOOD was outstanding. Bohdan especially made our experience. He had great recommendations, was attentive and extremely personable. Best meal we've had here - and that's quite an accomplishment.
My husband and I chose to have our last dinner in Paris
My husband and I chose to have our last dinner in Paris here. Everything tasted great. The sommelier provided amazing choices for our meal. The service was excellent. The ambiance was romantic. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my husband didn't like his dish had a pile of spinach underneath. He wasn't aware it was going to be that much so he wasn't able to eat all of his dish. But what he did eat he enjoyed. We would go back to try other dishes if we visit Paris again.

Quintessential Paris Bistro! Excellent food and an amazing atmosphere. The service was stretched but given the influx of affluent tourists that might not be totally unexpected. The seafood dishes were clearly the stars. Great experience. If you can get a reservation you should go, it is that simple.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
