Roberta's Brooklyn Reviews from The Last Year
Roberta's is an OG spot for me that I'm so glad to see is
Roberta's is an OG spot for me that I'm so glad to see is still killing it just like they always have. Around 4 PM, I was able to waltz in, grab a table and get my pizza within like 7 minutes. YAS! Zero crowds. Zero wait. Pizzas are fairly small, but just perfect for two peeps. Delicious, crispy, gourmet godliness! Sopressata should NOT be missed, but the Mediterranean is a close second for non meat eaters out there. LURVE you 4L Roberta's! Insider Hot Tip: If you don't know, you should know that a mosey in and around the Bushwick blocks is a MUST if you don't want to miss out on a pretty boss array of street art without the mobs of people over on Bedford ave and the Burg.

Went last night and I'm sad to say disappointed Pizza was okay. My rigatoni carbonara was undercooked and really peppery ! Salad was lovely. Got the little gem But two glasses of wine ??? Not big pour $32 way too much Across the street at the Syndicate had glass for $6 For the price it should have been so much better
i've been coming to Roberta's for over 10 years, this used
i've been coming to Roberta's for over 10 years, this used to be one of my favorite pizza spots. Things have changed now the staff are not properly trained and extremely immature. we were seated immediately, but it took them over 10 minutes to get us some water and another five minutes before someone gave us menus. Our waitress was more interested in chatting with her friends then to come to take our order. When she had her pizza in her hand, she placed half of our pizza on the edge of the table, and then rushed off. this isn't just one staff member. Nobody here wants to help each other out.
Too Loud for Dinner
The food is very good but the place is a zoo. Don't expect a quiet or even somewhat noisy experience -- it was insane. Loudest restaurant I've ever eaten at. Waiters and host offered no help.
Good pizza.
Has a nice spicy kick to it. The restaurant is definitely for adults only. Lighting is very low. The restrooms have red lighting. The music is very loud and it's a bit challenging to have conversations but we managed. It's a great spot for a date night. Super casual. Music played was Tadow, Sunshine, Free Room, Queen Tings. We were four and had veal bites and bread and butter, 7 soft drinks and 3 pies and had sticky buns to go. Our bill was $100. Not a fan of the sticky buns--they were very greasy. Recommend you go at least once. It's an interesting place.
Dude the NY quality is authentic, simple and perfect.
And the newer folks working there are so kind and the vibe has become much more feel good. I personally appreciate that. A little south added to the NY quality.
Best Neopolitan style pizza in Brooklyn.
Get the bee sting!!! Other things on the menu are also great but gotta love the pizza
Really great! It's BYOB but there's a 30 dollar per bottle
Really great! It's BYOB but there's a 30 dollar per bottle corkage fee. They also sell alcohol so just buy like a normal resturant!
It's no exaggeration when I say their Bee Sting pizza
It's no exaggeration when I say their Bee Sting pizza changed my life. The hot honey drizzled on top is SUPERB! I've actually been struggling to find great pizza in the NYC area and this hit the mark. I've been thinking about it since I've had it. Too bad I don't live in Brooklyn...
I used to live right next to Roberta's, and my buddy worked
I used to live right next to Roberta's, and my buddy worked there. It's gone through many changes since then, and I guess is a bit less zeitgeisty. But it's reliably delicious. I love going for brunch and getting either pizza with egg on it or the beautiful carbonara. You absolutely must get the straciatella. Spicy folks, add the nduja. The service is fantastic and the servers are cooler than you. It's just a fun chill vibe with great food. I think the kitchen puts out so much more than just great pizza so go and expand your horizons with a pasta or a little gem salad! You cannot go wrong.
I had the best time ever at Roberta's karaoke tonight!!!
I had the best time ever at Roberta's karaoke tonight!!! Yudi the host was so awesome and the bartender Rafa was incredible!!! Both very good at their jobs! If you are in the area on a Thursday/Tuesday come to karaoke it's awesome
Roberta's is an NYC institution, widely recognized for
Roberta's is an NYC institution, widely recognized for making some of the best wood fired pizza in the world. They opened in Bushwick in 2008, way before the neighborhood was cool. Since then they have expanded within NYC, and even have an LA location, which I have yet to visit. I wanted to try the original location first. My husband and I placed a delivery order, which arrived quickly. But, since it delivered via bicycle, the pizza was cold on arrival. This would normally be no matter, but we were staying in a hotel. Cold pizza is still good pizza, but both the Famous Original and Bee Sting left us underwhelmed. The crust was so thin and floppy that it fell apart upon being picked up. It could not support the weight of the toppings. The sauces were tasty, but there needed to be twice as much of them; the overall vibe was somehow dry and soggy at the same time. The star of the meal, surprisingly, were their Brownies, which come in a pack of 3. The perfect middle ground between fudgey and cakey, and topped with flaky sea salt, these were the best brownies I've had in my life. I would come back to Roberta's just for these (and dine in next time).
Had the coziest little evening at Roberta's.
I've been wanting to go forever but have only ever had takeout before this. We were able to snag a reservation the day of and were seated pretty quickly. The three of us sat on a high top table that overlooked the entire rest of the restaurant, which I loved. The vibes are super cozy and comforting. We shared the Bee Sting pizza (which I had tried before, but this was my first time dining in), rigatoni carbonara, and a salad. We also got cocktails and each and every single thing that we consumed was out of this WORLD! I loved the sweet/spiciness on the pizza and the pasta's shape and flavor were sooo good. And the salad was the perfect fresh crunch to balance it all out. Cocktails were so delicious and unique. I definitely want to come back to not only dine in again but to spend time at their tiki bar next door. This is no doubt a staple. Bonus points to them for playing the song Stereo Love at one point; ngl I was not expecting it at an establishment like Roberta's but hey I love to see it LOL.
Great brick oven pizza.
Cute outdoor rustic like bar area. Prices a bit high for pizza but it was delicious. Same pies sold in Whole Foods.
OMG!! OMG!! Okay, okay! One of the BEST tasting pizzas
OMG!! OMG!! Okay, okay! One of the BEST tasting pizzas ever!! Came across this true diamond of a find accidentally as I was scoping the surrounding area for a fashion photoshoot. Called my wife who was en route to pick me up, to let her know we were having lunch here before leaving. BEST decision ever! Walking in, there was an immediate love of the ambiance of this location; great decor with a very chill vibe, clean and plenty of space allowing for comfortable dining with my family. The staff were amazing!! Okay, the pizza, you MUST order their Bee Sting pizza!! MUST!!! MUST!!! And be sure to sprinkle extra Roberta's sauce on it!!! Truly, to me it is thee BEST pizza in NYC!! The crust was soft, flaky and oh so tasty as were the toppings!! We will def see you there soon!!
The food was delicious, the little gem salad, bee sting
The food was delicious, the little gem salad, bee sting pizza, Margarita pizza! The service was mediocre, I am writing this review about the music! I have only been here around lunchtime, the music sounds like I'm in an exhibition at a zoo, it's so loud where it's hard to hold a conversation! This happens everytime I go, I don't think I could sit through it again for good pizza!
Pizza was delicious! Love how well they do a thin slice.
Very laid back, chill ambiance in the outdoor seating section. Good service.
Very thin and small pizza for the price.
Do not go here with an appetite. Very vintage look and feel.
loooove it here.
amazing pizza, the crust is unreal. delicious salad and cute grungy little place.
We stopped by Roberta's for dinner after a comedy show.
It was pouring out but Roberta's was packed and required a bit of a wait. We were seated in the back area where there was ample seating. We ordered: + Stracciatella: we attacked this appetizer once it came to our table. This dish came with two slices of bread which was enough for the big blob of cheese. + Marinated Olives: these were delicious and were fun to eat with our drinks + Little Gem Salad: this salad was refreshing, crunchy, and delicious. + Margherita Pizza: a basic margherita pizza done well. The crusts were also divulged (that's when you can tell the pizza is good). +Ice Cream Sandwich: we ended our dessert with their recommended sticky bun and ice cream dish. This was delicious and well worth the try. They tried to market it as a cinnamon roll but it is definitely much better than that. The staff was fun. They came by often to check on us but let us alone to chill for as long a we wanted. Cheers.
Sunday Dinner
It’s been about 3 years since our last visit. Sat in the back amongst the Parrots (fake) adorning the corners of the room. We ordered the prosciutto n cheese and the Bibb lettuce salad. Really good to have before the pizza as the staff monitored our pace. The pizzas came out hot, perfect and a feast for the eyes as well. Good beer and wine selection to boot. We might try the newer location on the East River in W’burg, Brooklyn.
Really great!
It was recommended to us and frankly we were not disappointed! The burgers 🍔and the pizzas 🍕 top of the top. The pizzas are delicious. The price is correct for NYC. Nice servers! And really nice place!
too expensive
Honestly paying 25€ for a pizza… the setting is nice but not crazy. Ultra expensive… it’s a pizza!!! go your way
Only lost a star for the one bad apple...
Food was wonderful. Ambiance fine, just a bit too loud, since we are seated at long table that are wide. You can't possibly have a discreet/intimate conversation. **The actual problem was the tall Caucasian waiter. (Didn't get the name, sorry.) He was completely uninterested in his tables. My guest, who sat facing out saw him make annoyed gestures when the table he stood at did not look up. He stood there, like a ? dope ? then was annoyed that they didn't address him?? When we were ready to leave we didn't see him for 10 mins. When he was at the table next to us, he nodded to me with my very empty glass...but then left the room again and was ? gone! 10, 15 mins... I finally went to the bartender who was gracious & gave me the check. I paid, foolishly left a 15% tip (who is the dope? :-/ me). As we walked out past the kitchen area - there he stood, still never saw us. My guest & I felt stupid for giving him anything!!! Let's hope it was just one bad day for one temporarily bad apple.
Great experience.
We loved it. This is the second time we have come to eat their fantastic pizzas. In addition to being great like in Naples, the place is great and the experience is very cool. You get away from tourism and get to know another neighborhood. Highly recommended.
Overpriced
Hi all. I've been twice to this place. The first time I came for dinner, and honestly the pizza was very expensive to be in that área and we ordered a very básic one (16$). Also we went another day for drinks. Apparently they were closing and they didn't let us know. The waiter gave us a plastic cup without even ask or let us know that they were closing and he charged us 32$ for 3 beers in a plastic cup. Unbeliavable. I could understand this price in Manhattan but not in that place in the middle of nowhere. Not recomendable at all.

Pretty crazy, but cracking down will cost them a lot to maintain. They probably will lose the fight.

In my experience they will typically restore your reservation if you say it was an error.
