Incredible food, service, and ambiance.
This is right below my fiancรฉ's apartment and they are always such a good date spot. Deserts are great too!

A Nashville staple for a reason! Any time I am hosting guests, I bring them here and they all say it is their favorite meal of the visit. Great service and great seasonal pasta.

What a diverse menu, and each item with different notes that are equally interesting; the perfect combos of bites!!!! My standout dish was the rigatoni pork ragu, it tasted like an Italian Nona had made my dinner and boy I wish I didn't live in LA!!!! (Or that they could deliver it to me here!) Come here, that's it. Awesome service, simple but intimate ambience, and one of the most unique menus out there. Shared 4 dishes and a dessert between 2 people!
Be the first to ReplyI highly recommend lemon chicken.
It was well seasoned and cooked. The service was great as well. I also liked how it wasn't as crowded as other popular restaurants (it seems like they don't overbook/double book the table).
Be the first to ReplyCharming & smallish.
Super friendly, if a bit high-energy waiter. Awesome menu options, albeit it small. Wanted to try several. Trout was wonderful prepared with a well-paired sauce. Squash appetizer unique & tasty. Pasta was out of this world. Wine by the glass is over-priced & small pour. Expertly crafted cocktails.

The food was tremendous, the staff was attentive, and the atmosphere was warm. Highly recommend the sourdough with seaweed butter, the penne ragu and the duck kale tagliatelle.

I took my parents here when they visited Nashville, and let me tell you - some of the best small/shareable plates I've ever had! Although their menu is on the pricier side, the complex flavors offered on the Rolf and Daughters menu make it worth it. The ambiance of this restaurant is cozy, modern, and sophisticated. In other words, if you are looking for a high-end restaurant with a memorable meal, this is the place to go! The few times I have been to this restaurant, the service has been amazing. All in all, Rolf and Daughters is one of my favorite places to go for a special occasion.
Be the first to ReplyOver the top fantastic.
Food. Wine. Cocktails. Service. Pretty sure this is my favorite restaurant in Nashville. Julian was professional, friendly and offered super solid choices for our meal. We loved it here and cannot wait to come back.

Parking was easy on the street. Seated immediately. Service was immaculate. I dined at the bar, as a party of one. Ordered the house shrub - delicious, I recommend. The sourdough was good, I didn't care for the seaweed butter. The sweet potato dish was tasty but not overly visually appealing. In fact most of the dishes were not (visually appealing). The trout seemed overly sauced with bernaise. The mulberries on the chocolate tart were yummy. The highlight of the evening was the conversation at the bar. Met some wonderful individuals, some also traveling solo and we had much in common.

The ambience is unfussy but sophisticated, casual but elevated. We sat at a shared table but didn't feel crowded. My friends had already been here and sang the praises of the food, but unfortunately we were all disappointed that night. The trout was fine, well prepared and rich without being heavy. The bread was good once you were able to break through the nearly burnt crust. The pasta dishes we ordered were so salty it felt like we had chemical burns in our mouths. One of my friends is very polite and ate it anyway, while the other waited for the server to check on us to maybe get something else. The server didn't check on us until the end of the meal, at which point the one friend didn't want to make us wait and so didn't order anything additional, and didn't want to take the pasta home since it was all but inedible. The restaurant was kind and didn't charge us for that pasta. Maybe it was an off night, but based off this experience I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone looking to impress.
Be the first to ReplyTo start, the sourdough with seaweed butter is alright.
The sourdough is not made on site but it's quite a solid bread. The butter is forgettable with little to no taste or nuance. The Collard green was OK. Acidic. One note. Not very tasty either. Ate it for the vitamins and to convince myself eating greens will offset the drinks and butter I will consume. Drinks are your standard fare great cocktails. Had the people's elbow. No complaints just a simple, delicious cocktail. The pasta was amazing! If it wasn't the civil environment I would have happily enjoyed the Cecamariti in four slurps. Which I have to point out the horrendously small portion. The bites were ridiculously chewy and the sauce was orgasmic. The chicken was also very, very juicy with a nice subtle crisp and the sauce was quite amazing. Service was professional and friendly. Overall, this is an excellent place. It would have been a 5-star if it wasn't for the very lackluster starters (both of them) and the best they have - the pasta - has such a small portion that it leaves one slightly sad. Despite all that I would HIGHLY recommend for a nice evening out.

Be the first to ReplyLoved everything about Rolf & Daughters.
I heard nothing but rave reviews about the pasta so that was the reason we came, the reason I ordered the rigatoni and the reason I will be back. The pasta rigatoni took me back to Bologna, Italy. They are doing it right!!The vibe and ambience inside was mellow and intimate. It really is pretty freakin perfect.Drinks, dinner, dessert were all 10/10.All staff was welcoming and very friendly. Service was quick to visit our table and check on us. I'm only in Nashville a few times a year and I'm going to make sure I get in here every chance I can.
Be the first to ReplyBe aware!!!!I called ahead.
.. told them that I was Ubering from the JW Marriott. The manager told me that they had 2 open bar seats and 2 seats that were paying out. We paid for an Uber and were there in 3 minutes. We arrived in 2.5 minutes to a ONE HOUR WAIT!!!! And no seats at the bar had been emptied for over 30-45 minutes. So sad that a Manager needs to LIE. Hey just tell me you're busy and we'll come another time. To tell me there was availability when clearly there is NOT is like a used car salesman selling me SNAKE-OIL!
Be the first to ReplyThe food is subpar and the service is bad.
Don't waste your experience on this Poser...
Be the first to ReplyThe food tasted phenomenal.
The prices are quite high for the quantity, but the quality is superb. What I could not get over was the terrible service. The waitress tried to up-charge the table on every decision. For example, we bought a bottle of wine, and she turned the menu around and looked to see if there was a bottle from the same vineyard at a higher price. Almost every person at the table cringed and felt uncomfortable as she tried to guilt us into spending more money. We left feeling full, satisfied, and never wanting to return. I don't think I'll ever go back.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was great.
I've known about this place for ever but somehow just hadn't been. We made a reservation a little over a month out. The dining room was very pretty. Old warehouse brick walls with great wood accents and tons of plants. My friends and I got 4 appetizers and 2 pastas to share between the 3 of us. The tuna was insanely good as were the pastas. Their drinks were expensive would be my one negative. Their cheapest glass of wine was $15. A glass of sparkling wine was $30.
Be the first to ReplyIf we could give 6 stars, we most definitely would.
Ambiance was a comfortable and welcoming vibe.Staff was most definitely on point. From start to finish, it was a 6 star experience. Drinks were delicious. Apps we ordered were sourdough, seaweed butter (yes, Seaweed butter, but oh so good), and the beef tartare. The tartare was unlike any other. Such flavors! The agnolotti and rigatoni entrees were absolutely so full of flavor...so many delicious flavors. It was the first time ever my partner did not complain that he had rigatoni and not spaghetti pasta. lol Oh! And the honey, raw milk granita was the perfect ending. It was a most memorable meal.

Made reservations for Valentine's Day and to celebrate my birthday. I was super excited as I had seen so many rave reviews on social media about the restaurant. Even our ride share said it was the best restaurant in Nashville as he drive us there.I checked in with the hostess and she checked with me what we were celebrating. We were promptly seated. We ordered the heritage pork and cecamariti. I suppose it was my fault to have high expectations for a highly rated restarant in Nashville. It was another dining experience during our visit that was lackluster and underwhelming for a restaurant that is supposedly amazing. I finished the cecamariti. I was basically eating sourdough in pasta form doused in butter. Thankfully there was butter. The pork tasted bland, but earthy. Not sure where they were going with that dish. I usually look at dessert menus, but the main courses actually just made me wanna go back to the Airbnb and eat leftovers, lol. I will say that I boxed up the pork, but didn't even eat it. I just felt bad leaving it, lol.I was also kinda hoping I'd get a birthday treat, but nothing, lol. Not sure why the hostess even asked what we were celebrating. I actually don't think she said happy birthday, lol. I mean maybe they were just tired as we did have a 9:30pm reservation. The restaurant was not extremely packed, and looked to be slowing down. This was my experience; there are many reviews that rave of this place, but I can't. So sad, but I can't as that was not my experience. Food wasn't good, small portions, quality is no where to be found. Give this place a try if you think you will get lucky. I would most definitely not be returning. I wish I could say their customer service was great, but can't even say that. Sad way to end the food experience of our trip. If anything, made us realize fancy restaurants are not the places you wanna eat during a visit in this city. Cute looking restaurant though :)

The pastas here are really the star of the show! The ragu ended up being our favorite but you can't go wrong with any of the choices!
Be the first to ReplyRidiculously good! The menu changes - which is good and bad.
It's good because it's always phenomenal and new experiences! It's bad because you can't get what you got last time.

So my fiancรฉ took me here because I was missing my recently deceased mother. Our tab came out to $200 & even tho we didn't expect It to be that high, we still tipped $10 to the bartender on top of that and his attitude after was disgusting to us. I noticed it and my partner told me that when I went to the bathroom the bartender asked was the service not good, and that a $10 tip was insulting. Choosing to wine and dine ourselves in dyer times of our life isn't contingent upon how high our tip is, we still chose to do our due diligence. I came from the service industry & would never treat a tipping customer this way. Such a prejudice & entitled attitude. Was going to bring a friend here, but won't be back. He poured 1 straight shot and 2 glasses of wine btw & asked earlier if I'd like my water thrown away, once I asked him if he could throw it away when I was finished, he ignored us. Was absolutely not genuine at all.
Be the first to ReplyPretentious & Overpriced would be a better name for this
Pretentious & Overpriced would be a better name for this restaurant. I'm honestly shocked that this place has any positive reviews at all. We came in with a group celebrating a birthday last week and it was a disaster from the moment we walked in the door. The majority of the restaurant is awkward communal tables, so be prepared to share your table with strangers. The group next to us (who all appeared underaged) were very drunk and very much over-served. They constantly spilled onto our area and were very loud and obscene. Speaking of loud, be prepared for the most obnoxious mix of music to be blasting at you throughout your meal. We asked our server several times if it was always that loud and he smugly said something about it being part of "the vibe" and that they had spent a lot of money on new speakers. We ordered most of their small plate to get started and wow what a letdown. The special toast they were featuring looked like it had fallen on the floor before making it to our table and tasted much worse than it looked. The server kept suggesting different wines to go with each round of plates but somehow managed to bring the wrong bottle and then argued with us when we pointed it out. His hostility became a theme throughout the evening. The tuna tartare was repulsive and was most definitely the reason our group all got sick later that evening. It was slimy and smelled way too fishy. The salad was so small that each person was able to enjoy half a leaf but it was supposedly "locally grown" so obviously worth the exorbitant price. The scallop was also comically tiny and tasted like it was past it's prime as well. I'm assuming most of their food comes from Sysco. The pastas all sounded interesting on paper but were pretty medicore and ridiculously overpriced. The hand rolled cecamariti recommended by our server as their house specialty was an absolute joke. $24 for two bites of chewy pepper flavored noodles. The others that we tried tasted like something from Stouffer's but were at least larger portions. At this point the cocktails we had ordered 20 minutes prior were nowhere to be found and once again the server argued with us, saying he thought we had changed our minds. Why would we change our minds on cocktails? Alcohol seemed to be the only thing they were capable of doing ok at based on the number of very drunk people in the restaurant.By the time the desert menu arrived the music had turned into unedited rap, ย which clearly bothered an older couple on the other side of our communal table and was a tone-deaf choice for a restaurant to play during service. The group of females sitting next to us were bouncing in and out of restaurant to smoke something they bought from the hemp store across the street and one of them actually tried to help herself to a bottle of our wine. This was our cue to leave.I cannot discourage people any harder from wasting their time and money at Rolf & Daughters. The only positive is the proximity to other better restaurants in the neighborhood, which we walked to for desert and a more relaxing atmosphere. On the way out we witnessed one of the females from the group sitting next to us vomiting on the sidewalk. Meanwhile the others in her group were screaming at someone on Facetime and standing in the street. Stay classy Rolf.
Be the first to ReplyThe first time I visited I loved this place.
Second time, more recently the food was so so.The ambiance is super The staff is incredibly attentive The food is at times too salty and out of balance Love that they use local ingredientsWe got the chicken liver toast( yum but the green strawberries didn't add depth or interesting texture to this)The scallops: love the sweetness they get out of it but the ginger could be more delicately cut. The monkfish: absolutely delicious but sadly the beurre blanc was toooo salty. Soy sauce on a grill can get salty quickly, but there are ways to balance it out. Felt like someone dropped the salt bag in the beurre blanc Rigatoni; salty but solid with a glass of red wine. Love the porky flavor in there but could use a tad less salt .Ravioli: this dish was a miss. Had the potential to make it really far but the balance of flavors was off Blood orange tart: it was absolutely delicious!!Is it worth a visit? Absolutely but my expectations were set for stellar and I got sub par.
