Rooftop at Nobu Hotel Chicago Reviews from The Last Year
Extra ordinary place
My experience at this place was superb! The service, ambiance, and amenities were top-notch. However, it's quite expensive. Despite the cost, the overall experience made it worth it. Would definitely came again if got a discount also recommend for a luxury.
A Great Experience
I travel globally for business purposes and I’m happy to acknowledge the great service from the staff @ Nobu-Chicago. They are the utmost professionals at making my stay delightful. They are courteous, polite, and friendly. I would like to specifically recognize Juan Rodriguez for always going the extra mile for myself & my team. Thank you for all that you do to make our experiences @ Nobu a pleasure.
Best staff!
The hotel is beautiful. Rooms with floor to ceiling windows and fully stocked! BUT the real winner was the amazing staff! Helpful, kind, friendly, all around a reason to stay at Nobu Chicago! Great location too!
Beautiful property, but avoid the Randolph Street side!
I used to live in Chicago, so I was in town to visit with some old friends and revisit some of my favorite places. I chose the Nobu Hotel because I like the aesthetic and it's really close to Sawada (best espresso drinks in town!). The hotel is stunning and the rooms are minimalistic, but comfortable. (Great bed!) The lighting is cool, but not great for putting on makeup. It would have been a lot better if there was a lighted makeup mirror. I enjoyed dinner at the sushi bar on my first night. I did have a less than stellar encounter with a female front desk agent that I should have addressed immediately, because it became a huge problem for me later on. I arrived before my room was ready. The male front desk agent took my name and cell # and promised to call/text as soon as my room was ready. I went out to lunch. Several hours later and no call, I was tired, so I went back to the hotel. This time, there was a female at the desk. I asked about my room and she said it had been ready for some time but she didn't have my number (?!). She made a comment about it being an "active" weekend, which I took to mean loud. I daid that I would prefer a quiet room and asked if my room was near the elevator, because I avoid that at all costs. She said it was not. Of course, I got to my room and it was right off the elevator! I should have gone right back and asked for a different room. Definitely my mistake! But I did not. My room was right above Randolph Street and the entrance to the restaurant. I assumed the windows were soundproofed, they were not. It wasn't too much of a problem until Saturday night when the club noise was deafening. Around midnight, I called down to the front desk to enquire when it might end. The answer? 2:30AM. Fortunately, the gentleman at the desk (Thomas, I believe) was able to offer me a room on the opposite side of the property to sleep in and that made all the difference (and a 4-star review and not a 1-star). Bottom line: if you value peace and quiet and would like a good night's sleep, do not accept a room facing Randolph Street.
Wonderful Stay
We had a great stay. It was a beautiful hotel. Gino was particularly wonderful and so helpful with anything we needed. He made us feel us feel so welcomed and took care of everything we needed.
10/10 Experience!!
The hotel was beautiful, and the view was amazing!! Nobu Restaurant was also really good as well. Aldo at the front desk was very sweet and patient, and very helpful!!
Highly recommend this hotel
The hotel is beautiful, clean and new. The STAFF is AMAZING! Juan at the front desk is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The location was also great for my needs. I can’t wait to stay at this hotel again! If you’re thinking about staying here, stop thinking and just book it.
FAV Fulton Market Hotel
This hotel is the epitome of sophistication. It has THE best amenities you could ever want in a hotel room. It's truly an experience to stay at this hotel + I try to stay anytime I'm in town.
Absolutely the best experience !!! 10 Stars!
Absolutely the best experience. I enjoyed the ambience and the professional and very courteous staff. The perfect location and I just can’t say enough about the experience. The room was the best and I enjoyed the view and all of the amenities. Thank you for the best experience. It was my first time and I’m absolutely glad that I selected Nobu!
Gino
Gino’s level of service is absolutely top notch. He was helpful, prompt and professional in all of his interactions with us and other guests at the hotel. We traveled with a large group of girls, many of who had not been to Chicago or stayed at a Nobu hotel before.
Bachelorette party
Nobu hotel was amazing for our bachelorette trip! True luxury. Make sure you meet Gino! He was a huge help during our stay. Customer service was top tier and beds were super comfortable. Make sure to get some sushi while you are staying there!
Perfect for food, views and relaxing!
Chataun and Emily were so sweet! Got us checked in early and ensured we had an extra fan in the room when the sun beamed in and it got warm. Everything was so clean and the views of the city were everything I could ask for. Although I was not able to use the steam room, the gym was fully equipped and a dip into our bathtub afterwards was perfect. Breakfast was very fast, i recommend the Nobu Toast and mango chia pudding. Chataun was sweet enough to recommend places for both fun and food and she was spot on! Everything is within walking or short driving distance so the location is ideal. This was our second couples stay at Nobu Chicago and it’s safe to stay we will continue returning!
Rooftop at Nobu is a great spot for casual drinks and bites
Rooftop at Nobu is a great spot for casual drinks and bites all while having a nice view of the city! I'd recommend ordering to share so you can try more things! The food was very good but you can def find food just as good or even better for 1/2 the price. It's more for the vibes. The dishes that stood out to me the most were the truffle fries which were a special at the time, and their infamous spicy tuna crispy rice. I also ordered their yellowtail nigiri and it was so soft! I'd love to come back and dine in the actual restaurant for a special occasion!

This rooftop has an amazing view of the city sky line and the rooftop has enough seating and standing area to accommodate a large group of people. I ordered a strawberry mocktail. The bartender was extremely skilled and created beautifully presented drinks.
Great time at nobu!
My husband and I, needed a parent’s “staycation” with a 4 and 2, year old, it’s been way over due. We wanted a hotel, that can give us an experience, while also needing some overdue rest. Juan, did exactly that! He was always available for us. Treated us like family, and made us feel so welcomed. His friendly and personable attitude, carried our experience to another level! Juan, is exceptional, but I must say, the friendliness and welcoming atttitude, must be one of the pillars, for nobu staff! They were all great! When we checked out, Juan asked us, about our children and to bring them next time! I was shocked, I told him “nobu” is not a place for children, that’s when I learned, that I was wrong, and just how he was accommodating to my husband and I, they are much experienced and welcoming to children. The rooftop bar and restaurant was also 10/10! Thank you Juan!
Great place for good drinks and chill vibes definitely
Great place for good drinks and chill vibes definitely recommend Absolutely amazing view
Nobu rooftop inside was a 7/10.
Would love to see the outdoor part in the summertime, I think that would be a better set up. The food was good, tiny bites that pack a punch in terms of flavor. Favorite was the tuna nigiri. Cocktails were good too. Service was fine.

If you have been to other Nobu locations, do not expect the same elevated level of service here. I was celebrating my birthday as noted in the reservation notes which wasn't once acknowledged by the hostess or server. Even half decent restaurants do this. So we did not stick around for dessert or even a second drink.. Nonetheless, the views and vibes were great. Food was delicious too. We really enjoyed the yellowtail jalapeño and black miso cod. I doubt we will be back as there are many other Chicago restaurants at a high price point with incredible service. This isn't one of them unfortunately.
This is the most amazing rooftop restaurant I have been to
This is the most amazing rooftop restaurant I have been to in Chicago with the best food, drinks, music, crowd etc. we had a great time here at our anniversary. We had the beef dumplings, tuna and salmon nigiri sushi and avocado salmon rolls and all of them were amazing. Don't miss out on this gem!
Would not recommend coming here for anything but the view.
Food and beverages took 30-45 mins to come out (if ever). Additionally, we had a few serious food allergies in our party, to which some of the staff said they could accommodate, but the majority of staff had was unable to confirm with certainty what had the allergens. Even if the prices were average, it would still be unacceptable. At $150 pp, it is reproachable.

Slow service, awful food! Plates came out cold, very disappointing. Drinks and food way overpriced
The 2 stars are because the food and drinks are delicious.
It's a bit on the pricier side ($10 for one piece of crispy rice with tuna) but that is expected considering it is Nobu. I have stayed at the Nobu hotel before and was given great and accommodating service as a hotel guest. If you are not staying at the hotel however, and just want to get food and drinks with friends the experience is opposite. I made a reservation for 6 people for a birthday dinner. We had another friend who wanted to join us so I called Nobu to add another person (you can't change it on Open table and it states to call) and had no one answer. There was an email listed as well so I decided to email since I couldn't get in touch via phone call. A few days later I tried to call again and had no one answer but it did state to leave a detailed message and someone will contact you. I left a detailed messages with my name, reservation time and date and that I wanted to add a person to our table. I stated that if this does not work for some reason to please contact me back otherwise if they could just update it that would be great... no one ever contacted me back. The day before the reservation, I get a message to confirm my table for 6 with no added guest. Finally I get ahold of someone the day of the reservation and explain that I emailed and called to add a person, which the lady on the phone said there's nothing they can do and they are booked. I asked if they could add a chair and that we don't mind squeezing in the couch area which she still said no because the manager doesn't like people squeezing in... I asked if we could split into 2 tables or move to the restaurant instead of the rooftop. We finally settled on moving into the restaurant indoors at a later time and if that didn't work then I would be charged $25 per person ($150) to cancel! My party ended up being accommodated easily and nicely at a Hogsalt spot near by for dinner, and then we went to Nobu for a drink after to avoid the $150 cancellation. We would have been spending lots more on dinner here but it didn't work out. You would think for the price that you pay at Nobu and for the status that they have, they would be nicer and more accommodating to people.

Drinks are great, don't get me wrong! However, the staff is very inattentive and rude! Sometime ya wanna baby shake people to help pull the head out of the ass but some folks just don't get it! Cocktails are good! Service...meh!!!
