Chicken! 2 stars Saw on Yelp RT Rotisserie had pretty good reviews so we decided to swing by for lunch. * We ordered: - Chicken Soup: very very salty. Not close to Chicken Noodle Soup or any chicken soup I've tried. It was weird.. fresh warm cucumbers, dry chicken, and some other components in the soup. 1/5 stars Would not get again - Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich: Chicken & Naan bread was extra dry. Wish they heated up the Naan bread before giving us it. I felt like it was missing some stuff like spices (pepper). It was bland and dry. At least there were a good amount of chicken. 1.5/5 stars Overall, - food wasn't good. - Ambiance of the restaurant is good! Good amount of seating inside, bathrooms, self serve waters. - service was good. Staff took our order and food out at a pretty good pace

Holy moly! A friend recommended this to us, and I didn't believe him. The chicken is pretty flavorful, but the rotisserie fat rice is what really sells it. It's delicious. Go try it. Really. I'm sure it's terrible for you. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Loved all the house-made side sauces that paired well with the chicken of course but I found them equally enjoyable with the side dishes. I was surprised to see that the cauliflower side was a full head so you may want to share that. I really am starting to like the ease of counter service and love the convenience when I'm in a hurry. This place is just a block off the beaten path but well worth the stop when your are near the performing arts or civic center.

Herbaceous, succulent and garden fresh. You really did that RT.

4.5! This is a GOOD chicken sandwich. I opted for the broccoli side as I wasn't super hungry but then ended up taking some big bites of my husbands chicken sandwich. Dare I say one of the best ones I've had? The takeout service was fast considering how crowded they were for a Saturday night. It felt a little cramped in the restaurant, but I'd come back for the sandwich alone.

I'm a big fan of RT so I wanted to try it out for our health care team as an appreciation lunch. We ordered from their new catering menu for a group of ~ 25. I was so impressed by their responsiveness to email; quality and quantity of food; punctuality with delivery; presentation of meal boxes (they were individually labeled with everyone's names!!) and even the temperature of the food. It's difficult to organize delivery for larger groups but RT Rotisserie nailed it!
Be the first to ReplyBest chicken sandwich I've had.
Will be thinking about this sandwich for the next few months. I added the chimichurri sauce 13/10

I came here on a Saturday night and it was packed already, and i was worried. I was on my lunch break and didn't have time to wander the area looking for another place to eat but the service was fast and a table opened up for us. We had the rice bowls and it was amazing. It reminded me of a Vietnamese rice bowl dish called com hen, which has rice and clams but a bunch of veg and herbs in it to make it crisp and refreshing. Their rice in the dish was so comforting and delicious with all their veg in it just made it delightful. I wish i lived close by so i can try it with all the different proteins. Sorry to the table next to me, i wasn't checking out your girl, i was looking at that beautiful fried chicken which happened to be in front of her.
Be the first to ReplyThe chicken here is very well marinated without being dry.
The sauces also pair well with the chicken allowing for the taste to stay fresh and vibrant. The restaurant it self is pretty clean with a cozy vibe. 10/10 would recommend.
Be the first to ReplyYo! This place used to serve the best rice bowls.
.. Now they serve less than 4oz of chicken and a taste of rice. It's mostly cabbage. Not sure why they started to skimp. Last time we get anything from you.

Located conveniently near the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, my daughter and I tried the restaurant after auditions... Recommendations from both Yelp and former students raised our expectations and we were not disappointed.. Then food was delicious and arrived promptly. The restaurant was spacious.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food and prices.
Fried chicken is absolutely incredible. For San Francisco it's a bargain. Service is quick too
Be the first to ReplyThis location catered a work lunch I attended.
Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, chicken, rice, fries, bread, sauces, everything was fantastic. Will definitely use their catering in the future.

Be the first to ReplyRT is a must-try if you're a rotisserie chicken fan.
Get their chicken with a dollop of their chimichurri sauce with a side of umami fries and brussel sprouts and you're set! I've only had them delivered, and have yet to go to their restaurant. RT was requested a few times for office bday lunches and we've had them catered to us as well. The sally hurricane fried chicken patty was pretty big and juicy; just wish it had more of the chipotle yogurt sauce. I opted out of the pickled onions and kept the shredded cabbage. Overall, the sandwich was good and filling. If you want the roof of your mouth shredded then I highly suggest the rotisserie sandwich because their ciabatta bread was crunchy af. The palate and floor of my mouth was sore for the next day. The chicken was good with the shredded greens. It needed more sauce so I added some chimchurri sauce on top. As you can tell I like a lot of sawwce. You must get their umami fries topped with frie garlic and poricini powder (dried mushroom). It is the perfect amount of seasoning and oh so tasty. You must also get their roasted brussel sprouts. I'm not really a fan of b sprouts unless there's bacon on top but man RT does it right. They're roasted and covered in cotija cheese and garlic aioli with a splash of lemon. Honestly, they're memorable and topnotch imo.My office was surprised with a catered lunch from RT and my coworkers went wild. We had chicken, salad, fries, brussel sprouts and veggies to feed 20+ people. There was enough for me to get seconds. I tried the leg and thigh with the chimchurri sauce and yo that was all that I needed. The chicken is good by itself but the chimmy sauce really elevates the flavaflav. There was roasted broccoli and cauliflower but they weren't bite size pieces so I ignored them. I had some of their rice and it had a nice flavor to it. We received a tub of each of the sauces they had and I'd say chimchurri and the chipotle yogurt were my top picks.Overall, good food and everything was well packaged. Food is reasonably priced and the quality of the food is great, aside from the crunchy ciabatta bread. Check them out and be sure to get their brussel sprouts!

Maybe it's not a fair comparison but their chicken salad? 10000x better than Souvla's (granted, more Greek but still... it's still chicken salad) Nice staff, good portions, tender chicken (one I had at Souvla was surprisingly dry) and a great place to eat alone quickly. Hits the spot.

Quick, easy, filling, and reasonably priced lunch option in Hayes Valley. Ordering online is very convenient. The rice bowl seems a bit underwhelming? boring? when you first look at it, but the chicken fat rice is really flavorful and the chimichurri sauce adds a bright and garlicky kick to everything. I do wish there were a little more chicken and veg! The rice leaves everything a bit oily (for obvious reasons haha) but overall a tasty and decently healthy meal. I've been here before for dine-in, tried the fried chicken sandwich and umami fries. I don't think either of those are that great, would've been a 3-star review for that visit alone.

umami. fries. I'm obsessed with french fries and these are simply the best! Brussels sprouts are also amazing. I love this place for all their sauce options, they really just get it. chimichurri is my favorite! I Feel like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, although i will say the soup has a pretty weird flavor and is not my favorite. Most recently came here on a Sunday evening and the place was packed at 630 - nowhere to sit. Wish they had a better system since it's order at the counter. We ordered and lingered around waiting for a table to open up, several other groups were doing the same. Multiple parties were walking in and trying to hover over tables and sit down ahead of those of us who had been waiting. Witnessed a lot of awkward confrontation.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, but most importantly, great service.
I genuinely feel like a valued customer, which is a rare thing experience in many quick service restaurants. Can't wait to return!
Be the first to ReplyRT Was really good.
The service was wonderful. The rotisserie chicken was juicy and delicious. It was seasoned very well and the skin was crispy. The umami seasoning on the fries was tasty. My husband loved his sandwich. The only thing that was a bit off was the BBQ sauce. Never tasted that flavorful before. All and all it's a really great place to go to enjoy a healthier meal. Also they had jazz playing in the restaurant and it was very cool to sit in listen to.

I was in the area for an event and randomly stumbled upon this place but I'm glad I went in! I got the southern fried chicken sandwich and they gave a generous amount of chicken that was juicy and well seasoned! The service was also super friendly.

I love rotisserie chicken and was so excited to try this place but so sad to leave this review, the chicken was very dry and hard with no seasoning whatsoever. The rice was old and crunchy with again no flavor, the broccoli was ok and so was the Chimichurri but what really did it for me was the umami fries, ummmm why do they seriously smell like hamster pee? And look like old oil, the taste was disgusting and unbearable. I'm sorry but I need to be blunt and honest about this, I refused to eat them because I was worried I would get sick. The staff was beyond nice and caring and I would of brought the food back but I was too far gone and they already closed so no point.

The rice tasted a little fishy, not sure if that's what they were going for or if it was left over on what they cooked with, honey mustard on the side was not near enough for the bowl. The rotisserie chicken was okay but overall seemed very messily thrown together

While I was home recovering from surgery this week, a friend basically brought over the whole menu so I didn't have to cook, and I'm so glad she did! The chicken soup was rich, wholesome and delicious. Truly a healing tonic! Is a very brothy soup, so I ended up dumping in some of the chicken fat rice to bulk it up/make it last longer. And idkw, but the baked potato also slapped! Coulda been the fried chicken skin topping...mmmmmm....I also enjoyed dipping my chicken in the various sauces so things didn't get boring. Why is BBQ sauce so good?!My bowl was also delicious. What's not to love about chicken fat rice?! With crunchy (and pickled?) veggies that added just the right amount of vinegar + texture. The only thing that fell flat was the choc mint cookie. Great flavor, but was hard as a rock, and seemed pretty old. I didn't care though, because everything else was so good! Thanks for helping me heal this week, RT Team!
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite spots for lunch.
I usually get the rice bowls, and it feels like a complete meal. The lamb and chicken are both solid proteins and delicious, and I appreciate the bounty of vegetables that come with each rice bowl. Lastly the rice itself is quite decadent and flavorful from the Rottisserie drippings. Highly recommend if you're looking for a meal that isn't too pricey and heavy~
