Good restaurant, good service, good food.
Of all the dishes, I liked the mussels in white wine best, probably because of them I will go back. The rest of the dishes were just good.

Always a great choice in Rye, NY! I've been here quite a few times and it's consistently good. Their food is fresh, seasonal, and delicious. My boyfriend is obsessed with their seared tuna blt! I've enjoyed everything I've ordered here and they have some of the best oyster. Only thing I could say is that I need to add extra watermelon in my watermelon salad in the summer, but it's one of my favorite things to order!

Be the first to ReplyA consistently good restaurant.
We went there tonight and just had some drinks and appetizers. The bartenders are always friendly and engaging, the menu is extensive, and everything served is well prepared and tasty.

Ruby's has become a staple in Rye. The owner Lisa is fantastic and always super cordial.

There are many restaurants options in Rye and most of them are good but Ruby's had been consistent with their good service and delicious food. I had been very impressed with their dedication to keep the restaurant open because They had endured many hardships including the pandemic and the flood last year.

I have been dining at Ruby's for 20 years and the food and service is consistently excellent. Great atmosphere overall vibe. Their brunch is also excellent.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious seafood and great scene for afterwork.
Love the French onion soup and mussels. Miss the fondue! Please bring it back.
Be the first to ReplyCame here and ordered the burger and the mahi mahi tacos.
Our drink order was served wrong and the burger was served well done instead of medium rare. Service and vibes were good, but food was meh.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a phenomenal experience eating here last night.
Almost didn't go because of the overall rating and that would have been a mistake. Among the best oysters we have had in westchester. My tuna tartare was excellent. We all shared the brussel sprout chips (it's crispy brussel sprouts and definitely a fan favorite). Our son devoured them! And they are very kid friendly and accommodated what he wanted to eat (butter noodles). Will be in our rotation for sure!

Be the first to ReplyThe food was very ordinary.
We ordered an omelette, Brussel sprout chips and Tune poke. I asked for a slightly undercooked omelette which arrived overcooked, the french fries and the Brussel sprout chips were cold. We kept the chips but returned the fries, which were begrudgingly replaced. The service was awful, they do not cater to special diets (i.e. gluten free). The most extraordinary thing about our experience was that not one of the staff was wearing a mask. This is in direct contravention to the CDC recommendation (7/30/21) that people mask indoors and in high-risk situations in the following counties: Westchester, NYC, Nassau and Suffolk, Orange, Greene, Saratoga and Warren.

We dined outdoors, because it was a beautiful night! Service was excellent! Food came out very quickly. We had a double tier, filled with lots of goodies!! Lobster, seafood salad, clams, oysters and shrimp!! We then ordered a dozen of oysters, general Tso's cauliflower, mussels with fries, and a salad w mozzarella! Everything was really great!

What an embarrassment!!! The place in Rye, We had reservations for a table for 4 outside and waited 40 mins and were told the next table was ours by the host. We were about to sit down when the Manager Erin ( female heavy set frame) came screaming " NO NO NO" everyone looked at us and was very loud. Everyone stopped their dinner to look at us while the manager caused the scene. Please note that we four professional adults, also Rye brook residents minorities and they wanted to seat a caucasian couple who we saw walk over 5 mins prior the incident. This place is a "NO NO NO" until they change their manager. The 1 star is because I can not remove the final star.
Be the first to ReplyNot quite the Brunch spot I expected.
Service, setting were good. French toast ordinary with a sprinkling of berries. Two pancake portion for a teen rather lean. Eggs Benedict seemed ok with uncuttable English muffins and with fries and ketchup on the same plate. Will visit again for dinner hoping for Ruby to find her stride.

This spot has great ambience but both times I have visited unfortunately found our waitress (same person) to be quite rude. Food was just ok so not sure I will return.

The food was awful Had the hanger steak which was extremely tough. It was served with a pile of limp, tepid french fries. The dessert--warm chocolate cake--was boring. It was served with ice cream of which there was very little. When someone at our table asked for bread, it never came. The request had to be repeated twice after that before it arrived. One of our party asked for spinach and got asparagus and had to send his plate back for the correct vegetable. The noise factor was overwhelming. First, there was a group of rowdy young women at the bar who drowned out everyone else in the restaurant. That was augmented by a table of young people in the rear who greeted half a dozen friends who stood around their table and shouted at each other. One could not hear one's own dinner companions.

A group of us came to Ruby's on a weekend evening as the COVID pandemic appears to be winding down. There were tables out on the sidewalk as well as (distanced) tables indoors. We elected to eat inside because there were plenty of open windows and doors, and the indoor ventilation system was in high gear. What I liked about Ruby's was it's great energy. All the diners seemed to be having a wonderful time. I liked watching the staff, who struck me as seasoned and competent; as far a I could tell, they had each seen everything and enjoyed working together as a team.I started with a glass of excellent IPA from Chatham Brewing while looking over the menu. The appetizer/salad list included two Asian-influenced items: General Tso's cauliflower ("Spicy Sweet Chile Sauce, Red Peppers, Scallions, Sesame Seeds") and a salad called Thai Peanut Noodles ("Shredded Vegetables, Pecans, Peanut Dressing, Pea Shoots, Dragon Aioli"). I went with the cauliflower. This appetizer would have been a good thing to share with a large group, but I ate the whole thing myself and ended up feeling grossed out by the overly sweet chile sauce. I segued to one of the specials -- an fettuccine dish made with fresh egg pasta, some sad-looking shrimp, artichoke pieces and a bunch of other stuff. Its description looked promising on the menu, but I thought that the dish didn't come together very well and I stopped eating with half of it still on my plate. (This was an extreme event because normally I scarf down everything in front of me.)Ruby's really could have been better. I settled on three stars because of its great atmosphere and the wonderful beer. If I return, I'll seek out the menu's simpler items, perhaps from the "lighter fare" section.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is charming and has a great ambiance.
The food is always great,, and I love their branzino. It has always been one of our "go-to" restaurants in the area. Last night, we attempted eat here. We had a 7:30 PM reservation and we requested an outside table when making the reseravation. No outside tables were available so we were seated inside. The tables inside are poorly situated for dining, and the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. We were offered 2 awkward tables, not positioned for dining or having conversation. We settled on a table in the back. Our waitress offered us water then never returned. Twenty minutes later we asked if we could order. She told us that the "system" was down and she would get back to us. We decided not to bother and left. This restaurant used to be a gem. With so many good restaurants in the area, I suggest they improve their service in order to keep their clientele.
Be the first to ReplyMy first visit back to this spot post Covid vaccination.
One of my favorites when I first moved to Greenwich. I'm happy to report it is just as fantastic today, if not better then before. Today I chose the seating on the patio out back, because it was a sunny warm day. It has plenty of greenery to create a separate space from the parking and neighboring business areas. My server was attentive, friendly and always available. I started with the Jumbo Chicken Wings Confit and a Tito's and soda with lime. (I was after all celebrating my vaccination)The wings are amazing and literally fall off the bone and the buffalo flavor is spot on, not too spicy, not too mild, just perfect. I went with the chilled lobster roll for lunch, they offer either chilled or warm versions. What I really appreciated about the lobster roll was its cucumber slice along the bottom of the brioche bun. Unexpected, but adds a surprisingly nice complement to the sandwich. The portion was generous, and the lemon aioli on the side was a perfect addition. I actually used it to for my old bay pom frites, instead of ketchup, highly recommend you try it. Also the cleaning procedures I witnessed while I was there were impressive. After every table left, they thoroughly disinfected the table and even if it was only two people at a five person table, they immediately used disinfectant on every chair and replacement them before the next seating. I was super impressed. I'm looking forward to being a regular guest here again. Also, if you do choose to dine indoors, it's equally as fun. The aesthetic is super fun, the zebra wallpaper is great!
