😍 5/5 - What a way to spend New Year's Eve!

The silver lining for COVID and all it's variants is the vibrance of New York and places like Saga! We don't go downtown often but this experience taught us to consider a wider net than the upper Eastside. I'm not even exactly sure how I heard about their event for New Year's but once I booked it everyone I spoke to about it thought it would be an excellent idea.
It's located in a a really great Art Deco building in the Financial district. It can be al little hard to find the correct entrance for but a friendly person guided us once we got out of our Lyft. It is located not he 63rd floor and there is a remarkable terrace where cocktails were served. The chairs were heated and there were throws so it was comfortable despite being just a bit chilly out. The views are amazing from up there.
All staff were very nice but I must call our Phillip who seemed to be our main organizer and Ellis the Somme. We went with the wine pairing to go with our evening's menu and it was well worth it to do it that way.
Every item and pairing built on the one before. The absolute only negative was there was a bounty of seafood to start - the oysters and shrimp were very fresh and flavorful but the empress crabs just seemed tired (not spoiled or anything like that just without any flavor - like when crabs are out of season). Real standouts on the menu were the caviar dish and also the fish course.
After the dinner and toasting in the new year there was a party at Overstory the accompanying bar a floor up. Due to COVID and wanting guests to be seated there was no DJ and our table was a bit cramped. I'd like to go back there to try it again when we aren't overly intoxicated from dinner and able tom mingle about.
