Terrible
Horrible. Manager insulting and very rude. Not enough “chefs” for a Sunday night hibachi table. Waited over an hour sitting at grill for chef to arrive. Go to Beni Hana if you want Japanese dinner.

This used to be a great restaurant. After sitting and ordering a beverage and appetizer, we went to order rolls and sashimi. We were informed they had no chefs, no rolls, and no sashimi. So we ordered tempura and some chicken. Which can as essentially chicken cutlet already cut up into squares. The entire experience was more Arthur Treacher’s. A waste of $100

Stated with a really old man as our waiter. Didn't speak much English, looked very tired. He was RUDE & NASTY. We were only 2 people my daughter and I . It took 27 minutes for the cook to arrive. FOOD WAS BLAND WITH NO FLAVOR. The cook also had a bad attitude. I will never eat there again.
Be the first to ReplyHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE/ VERBALLY HARASSED
An absolutely awful experience to say the least. I went there tonight with my friend for a dinner on the dining only side and our waiter made the experience horrendous. To start off, he started yelling in the public dining area at his coworkers about how dirty the tables were when they were actually clean which immediately indicated that something was extremely off with this person. My friend and I ordered our meals to which then he asked my friend if she wanted salad with hers. She responded back “yeah” and he responded with a high pitched almost sexual “yeah” back at her which was very uncomfortable and disturbing to say the least. We eventually got our food which was good, but when it came time to pay it took a very long time. My friend and I left our cash with our receipts and were waiting for the waiter to take them to give us change for 20 minutes while he sat and was loudly talking with a person. After waiting this long, he passed by our table and told us quote on quote, “Wait two more minutes I’m going to go finish talking to my friend.” After a couple minutes the waiter came back, grabbed our checks, and returned our money. Immediately I noticed something was up when the receipt was not given back with our cash. My friend counted her money and it was all there, but then I counted mine and noticed he shorted me $5. I nicely mentioned to him that my amount was not correct and he took the money and came back with the same amount. He was trying to tell me that the amount he had given me back was correct, but I was showing him on my phone calculator that he was wrong. Suddenly, he then started yelling at me repetitively and it got so bad that my friend had to go grab the manager. The manager saw that I had been shorted and he gave me the $5 back. He didn’t apologize for his waiter’s behavior and then he left. As I grabbed my stuff, he was verbally harassing me and going off about how he “wasn’t trying to take a tip for himself” and so on. For background, I never accused him of lying or taking a tip, all I did was ask that I be given the correct amount back. The manager eventually ended his bizarre rant and yelled at him to stop. I was absolutely stunned and astonished with the treatment I received at this establishment. As a 20 year old female I left this restaurant being rocked by this experience. Being verbally harassed by an adult male is not something that should ever occur at a restaurant like this.
Be the first to ReplyThey don't serve sushi any more!!
And, that's what I wanted, so ordered (to pick up) gyoza (which they used to do well before the pandemic) and habachi fried rice...both were poor quality...won't be back.

Will not eat at this restaurant again. A 18% gratuity was added for a party of 4. Ridiculous. Food was not good. Will not come back. They would not let our 12 year old order off the children’s menu. Again, ridiculous.

Found this restaurant about 2 weeks ago in West Palm Beach and have been back 3 times since, great Habachi food and sushi, service is excellent and quick with a friendly staff. A must for habachi and sushi lovers!

My husband and I went to Saito's in Wellington on 7/23/19. Service was way too fast. Hardly sitting and already being asked - fried or steamed rice? The appetizer which was supposed to be shrimp, was skipped altogether. Directly to the vegetables (way too big for an asian meal). The chef also seemed to be in a hurry, just getting rid of the customers. The best chef this facility has is a non-asian chef. I don't know his name but I know he is brazilian. I had him as our chef 2 other times and he is by far the best on the restaurant. Didn't have him as our chef this last time and the chef we had was very, very disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyNot enough chefs
We come often and wait time from soup and salad is normally minimal. Today we waited over 25 minutes and there were no chefs around. I thought they had gone on strike or something. No one ever comes to say anything. But as always the kids enjoy the cooking and the food is tasty. Not great not top quality but tasty and filling.
Be the first to ReplyDISGUSTING AND RUDE
DISGUSTING AND RUDE!!! If I could give them negative stars I would. The chef cut himself while cooking our meat, this was not the problem. We have had this chef before and he is usually great. He cut himself pretty bad enough for the blood to be running. They would not pull him off the grill instead gave him a little bandaid that did nothing. The blood continued to pour and dripped onto the grill and shook onto the cart with the butter and sauces. We were too grossed out to eat the steak after that, all while the owner was standing right behind our table and noticed that we weren't eating our food after the blood incident and she never came over to check on us or see if we wanted new food. When we left the bill my fiance left a note on the receipt saying that we did appreciate that nobody came over to check on us when there was a big problem. I unfortunately left my purse because we left so grossed out and when we came back that's when the real problem started. The owner came out with my purse and the receipt and wouldn't give me my purse instead said hold on and walked outside for me to follow which I thought was weird. That's when she began to question me about the gratuity amount and the note we left. She said that it was not an appropriate amount of tip and that the note was uncalled for, all while still hold my purse not willing to give it back to me. This went on for about 5 minutes of me explaining that we tipped our cook but didn't think the service we got about the situation deserved a higher tip then we gave. She continued to belittle me until I finally grabbed my purse from her and said we would not be back and she said GOOD! With all this being said if someone knows how to get ahold of the corporate offices please let me know.

I would give a ZERO if I could. We have 12 people wanting to celebrate a birthday party. I called to see about reservations, no. I mentioned that one person in the group has dementia and wanted to let them know. I asked if we could have a waiter that would work well with our group. I was told "no". You can't select a waiter and the man told me they can't accommodate the person with dementia and we should go to another restaurant. I was shocked and repeated myself, even asking this man if he knew what dementia was. He did and he repeated that he couldn't have us at this restaurant. This conversation really happened. Please don't go to this restaurant. I can't locate any corporate phone number for Saito's.
