Sarabeth's 381 Park Ave S New York, NY 10016 United States New York Reviews from The Last Year
Very good breakfast
Excellent breakfast. The lemon ricotta pancakes are particularly good. The dishes are plentiful. Excellent service, very friendly.
Great Restaurant!
This restaurant is in close proximity to NYU Hospital so we took a walk to the restaurant on a beautiful day. The food was delicious and so were the cocktails in a very lovely atmosphere. You will not be disappointed!
I don’t love it but it is OK
Unnaturally large footprint so actual space between tables. Breakfast available for lunch.popovers are delicious.
Nearly perfect
We had a late lunch which was lovely. The food was hot, tasty and good sized portions. The staff were lovely and attentive and we really enjoyed the experience. I’ve given 4 stars as I ordered Cod but was served a different fish (sea bream I believe). However it was still lovely so no big complaint
Would definitely go there again
Delicious food and the staff were all highly attentive. They offer everything a la carte, or you can select from a prix fixe menu if you want a starter, entree, and dessert. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Large portions!
Everything was amazing and we finished all the food and
Everything was amazing and we finished all the food and drinks. we had reservations so we got sat down quickly and the staff was friendly. will definitely come back to try the other items.
perfect from start to finish
The place is perfect, quiet and a cozy atmosphere. The welcome is pleasant. Fast, precise, professional service. For brunch, everything is there to make it excellent. Especially omelettes in particular. The room is large to provide privacy. The value for money is correct.
I had a wonderful time at this location of Sarabeth's.
I went with 2 friends and we got a variety of things to share. The deviled eggs and seasonal fruit salad were delicious. We wanted OJ but it was like $15 a glass so we passed but it did look incredible. The French toast was also yummy, though I do wish they had some sort of berry compote to top it. The avocado toast isn't any better than what you could make at home. The star of the show was absolutely the grilled cheese with the best tomato soup I've ever had in my life. Would absolutely return just for that. Had a great time and will be back. Our server was very attentive and kind. It's very busy but it's nice, clean, and comfortable inside.
Amazing Pancakes!
Great classic American breakfast! Pancakes were delicious and the presentation was top. Very attentive to your requests, food allergies and do everything to ensure you had a good moment

my experience at sarabeth's was incredible because of our server jack!!! he was so knowledgeable and kind and fun, the food was great & he made awesome suggestions
A staple for classic American fare
This landmark restaurant group doesn't disappoint. In the heart of the Flatiron district, I needed a healthy meal before a meeting. Their power bowl fit the bill. From quinoa to pistachios, shredded kale, beets and goat cheese rounded out the bowl with a protein of grilled chicken on top. Efficient and friendly service.

Invited by a friend who lives in the city, we met for breakfast. Everything was tasty, from the cappuccino to the breakfast bowl. Our server was friendly, refilling our waters without being asked. The restrooms are clean, the restaurant bright and sunny. Give it a try.

The lemon ricotta pancakes were lovely - fluffy with a rich balance of tangy & sweet. Nice, large space but service was a bit slow.
Wonderful breakfast!
Amazing service, excellent coffee, incredible eggs benedict made with authentic English muffins. I had never tasted one and the staff explained what it was and how they served it, then offered one for me to take at no charge. Avocado toast was great as well. The grapefruit juice was great, but at $10 a bit pricy.
Food was stale cold and place was filthy.
Waitress kept switching .. very slow service and literally jelly on the walls.
I'm a homebody by nature, & now by design! But I want all
I'm a homebody by nature, & now by design! But I want all YELPERS out there, to know that Sarabeth, has many products that can be enjoyed at home! Her preserves are excellent! My #1 Favorite is: Blood Orange! It's First Rate! You can buy her preserves, & some baked good through Fresh Direct. Also you can find many of her preserves, through Amazon.com. I'm sure that in many upscale supermarkets, in NYC you can also find them. So whether you are a homebody, or a restaurant patron: Sarabeth should be on your radar! Good eating for Good living! NYC.
This place is a shell of itself.
Food was absolutely horrible, half of it was salty and the other half was bland. The service sucked. Also, how hard is it to make a grilled cheese? This one sucked. Used to be a great place. I should have sent everything back, but I was too polite. My fault. What a waste of money.

Dinner was amazing!!! Our waiter Anthony went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and was extremally attentive. The chef seemed new because we ordered items we had before and they exceeded previous meals; truly delicious. Also, the carrot cake and fall/ winter cocktails were a perfect compliment to our meal.
Three-ish stars.
Sarabeth's is an upscale American restaurant that serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. They are perhaps best known for their brunch service, but I came here for dinner. The prices are slightly higher, but they do offer a prix fixe menu for $45. Although the Prix fixe menu choices are limited, I believe it was a good deal. Overall, the service was pleasant and quick. I thought the food was only okay. I might come back and try their brunch.
Terrible food and service
Went with a fairly large group. Had reservations so they knew we were coming . They were totally unprepared. Wanted to give us tables in different areas of the restaurant. Finally got tables near each other. Service was terrible. Some people were getting desert before others got appetizers. Wrong food was brought out. Food was cold. Burgers that were supposed to be cooked medium were well done. Pizza brought out cold. Cheese wasn't even melted. Desserts were small and seemed to have been frozen. Drinks were removed before they were finished. Nothing good to say about the experience
Nice breakfast
We had breakfast at Sarabeth’s earlier this week. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and the menu is varied. Three of our four meals were lovely, but unfortunately my husband’s over-easy fried eggs were too runny; even the egg whites were runny. He didn’t want to alert the staff to the issue, so it’s partly our fault, but equally, the chef really should have seen it.
Great for brunch
Perfectly cooked eggs, delicious & fresh lettuce side, great service. Sarabeth's seems to have expanded to numerous locations, which they should have success with, if they are all run on this model. Not inexpensive, but it's Manhattan, so not out of line.

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
