Will not be back.
Had the Early Bird menu and it was quite limited and VERY disappointing.
Scallops great but duck confit was almost cold.
Salmon main course arrived bleeding and grossly undercooked. Had to send back to be cooked. Potato mash was lukewarm.
Looked forward to salvation & satisfaction from the sticky toffee pudding. All elements of it were good but portion of pud was tiny!
There is no excuse for lukewarm food in ANY restaurant. The A La Carte food may be better but I won't be back to take a punt on that.
Wife & I recently had dinner
Wife & I recently had dinner at the Shelbourne Social & overall we had a lovely meal.
Upon arrival we were given menus & wine list, but there was a long wait for our order to be taken or even asked what we would like to drink.
We ordered the hot bread with pulled pork to share as a starter, which was delicious. For mains we shared a steak with few extras. The steak was delicious with a great sauce & for desert my wife had the chocolate moose where I had the sticky toffee pudding with pear. I think I got the better of the deserts.
But you always felt you had to get the attention of the staff, which is a pity.
Overall the food is delicious & would definitely go back but the service needs to match the food.
Tasty brunch
Lovely brunch here on last Saturday morning. The brunch menu is not extensive, and if you are looking for a full Irish, you won’t get it. But what we did get was so tasty. As a surprise at the end we were given a free desert of waffles, and these were the best waffles we have ever tasted. So definitely worth going back for these. Very quiet in the restaurant. We got very speedy and pleasant service. And tea comes in a nice big pot. Lovely atmosphere, service and food.

Had a fab meal here last night, was on a taste.ie voucher that had been bought for us, wasn’t the full menu but 3 course that still had good options. Really great food and wine list only bettered by the staff who were so friendly and welcoming but professional

This place is fantastic. I went here with my husband, brother and sister-in-law on Sat 15th Feb at 12.45.
The food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff are top notch.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and I plan to go back very soon.
It’s in a great location just around the corner from a group of pubs (Mary Macs etc) and near the RDS.
Best meal in Dublin hands down
You just have to go and experience it! We celebrated our anniversary here. Our waitress was fantastic, knew the food really well and made great suggestions. The salmon to start was divine. For our main we had the chateaubriand which was the best we’ve had in Dublin! The wagyu potatoes were unbelievable too. Since it was our anniversary the restaurant surprised us with complimentary Prosecco and desert! We had a few cocktails after the meal up at the bar and they were to die for! I would 100% recommend this to everyone, it’s my new favorite place here in Dublin!

met a couple of friends for a burger and wine lunch. cheeseburger was really juicy, but I wished that I had ordered the massive ham/egg and trimmings one when I saw it landing in front of my friend. next time! good selection of wines. good atmosphere with good quality furniture. worth a visit.

Had brunch here a few weeks ago. We were early (10.30am) but we were still the only people at 11.30 which isn't a great sign. Service was very good - friendly staff. Interior is lovely but the brunch menu was disappointing. I had the waffles - which arrived to the table cold. I ordered a portion of bacon that arrived to the table...cold. The best thing about the dish was the smoked honey. I want to be able to recommend it for brunch but I can't. On the plus side i have been told that its dinner menu is great.
Be the first to ReplyUnusual name but very good restaurant
Visited with family for a late Sunday lunch. Excellent traditional Irish cuisine in modern surroundings. Very friendly and attentive staff and not at all pushy, let us have the space and time to enjoy great conversation. Some great traditional dishes with a modern twist and reasonable selection of beers & wines. A great lunch or dinner venue with sizeable table options for that family get together.

International fusion menu which suits many different tastes. We were surprised about the Picanha cut in the menu and we ordered the open food option for 5 people. If you go in this direction beware that no other main is needed. Just 3 or four sides. The starters are very creative. Tuna Tartare is the best in my opinion. Excellent wine list with reasonable range of price. Service is impeccable. I recommend.
