One of the best meals I’ve ever had
One of the best food experiences I’ve ever had. Every course got better than the last and I didn’t want it to end. Massive shoutout to our server Karen who has the biggest smile on her face the whole time. She so thoughtfully explained each dish and paired wine and just added her own personal touch. Had my birthday meal here and it absolutely made my day. Thank you. Can’t wait to return!
Be the first to ReplySix great courses with a good pairing of wines for a uplift
Ok so me and the girlfriend went here twice one was for the once upon a time menu back in September last year and February this year for the mad hatters theme one too, both times was superb!! As far as I’m aware this is a pre book only restaurant so don’t just turn up hoping to get in, The food was amazing and you have a option of paying a up lift for a pairing wine with each dish, my advice is to get one pairing wine and share with who ever you go with as it’s worth trying but can be pricey, the wines have been carefully selected and paired extremely well and I loved every dish they put in front of us, we have been twice and would def go again but with a pairing wine and if you buy the sides and cocktails your looking at least £200.00 for 2 people so certainly a place as a treat or occasion.
Be the first to ReplyFun menu, first time visitor
Having just arrived back from a trip to Asia including Hanoi, it was fortuitous to see Six by Nico had a Hanoi taster menu. We arrived early and had a cocktail and then the taster meal and wine pairing. We all loved it. Great service. Explanations on the wines. And decent price for a taster menu I felt. Tempted to try NY next.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic birthday treat
Waited a while to visit and wasn't disappointed My husband surprised me with a visit here on Saturday for my birthday. We had the Hanoi experience with wine flight which was really great. The service from the moment we arrived was impeccable and each dish and wine was explained to us. The food was really lovely and I cannot wait to visit.again.
Be the first to ReplyWouldn’t rush back
Went with my mum to celebrate what would have been my dad’s birthday. The food was okay but for the price we paid the whole experience was slightly underwhelming. The first course was brought out before drinks had arrived (and all subsequent courses were brought very quickly making the meal feel very rushed). We ordered some bread thinking this would be brought before the dishes giving us time to settle in and look forward to the rest of the taster menu but the bread was brought after the first course as more of a side dish. Service was good and staff were friendly although we had multiple different waiters bringing food/ clearing the table only adding to the feeling of it being very rushed. This said they were knowledgeable about the food and clearly passionate which was nice. Food itself was okay and the atmosphere was nice. For the price we paid though I wouldn’t rush back as though it was nice, it didn’t feel particularly special (and we still had over half a bottle of wine by the time we’d eaten all 6 courses it was so rushed).
Be the first to ReplyTaster Menue where everything tastes the same.
This place was fully booked for months so we anticipated a fantastic meal. The staff are great. The service was spot on. The food however, was very disappointing. The theme was Hanoi so were expecting all the culinary delights of Vietnam. Unfortunately Nico failed to deliver. The whole point of a taster menu is to experience a variety of flavours, If I closed my eyes it would be very difficult to tell one dish from the other. The 1st course just tasted of a tomato ragu, no shellfish flavour at all. The 2nd course contained a stodgy spring roll with no filling and the crispy prawn was burnt. The 3rd course was their take on a Vietnamese Pho which is supposed to be light, tangy, spicy and full of flavour. We received a bowl of over reduced, salty marrowbone stock poured over some noodles and mince beef which was described as smoked. It was not. The 4th course was fish so I opted for the vegetarian version. I received a small bland cauliflower florette which was simply boiled and plonked on the plate. The 5th course was was the glazed chicken. It was glazed rubber. Neither me or my wife at the desert. It was not "Delice" as described but extremely bitter. Everything tasted the same and everything was far too salty. I don't understand why this place is so full, I noticed that many of the table near us all had vouchers so I guess this is their business model. One off experieinces. In my experience I wont be returning.

I took my Dad here for a birthday treat and we were both absolutely blown away by the whole experience. Somehow each course seemed better than the previous one and was the perfect amount to delight your tastebuds but leave you wanting more. We also chose to do the pairing wines which were all brilliantly chosen to match the intricate dishes. There was an incident with one of the courses that was handled very swiftly and professionally and we were given complementary drinks to finish our meal. Our waitress, Fey, was wonderfully attentive and thoroughly enhanced our whole experience, thank you.

What’s not to like about six by Nico? Nothing really, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was equal measures of cool and welcoming. we had the funfair menu and we loved most of the food, although in hindsight would probably not have opted for the extra portion of ribs. it was quite surprising how much food you actually got, even though it was fairly small portions it’s soon filled you up Is very clever, and I would definitely return to sample another one of the menus another time

Amazing service, food was an absolute taste sensation. We had the Hanoi menu, it was superb. The servers described each course and kept my wine glass topped up, first class!
Be the first to ReplyBad service and bad food
Terrible bar staff at the London venue. Went there with my family and the coffee took 20minutes as she was chatting the while time. Chef shouting over other chef in an open kitchen and with strong languages. Food was not made to standard and took very long. Would never go again.
Be the first to ReplyTasting menu & wine pairing
Good food with great service. Six dishes with six wines. Most dishes were strong 9 and a couple of strong 7. and found some wines did not match the food, but again, that's my palate. Great concept restaurant, will be back!
Be the first to ReplyGreat concept
Great experience. Neverland menu was so tasty, there were six dishes which were excellent and although look smaller are very filling and tasty! The staff were friendly and really attentive especially on a busy Saturday evening
Be the first to ReplyInteresting concept
We really enjoyed our meal at Six by Nico. The menu was interesting and the food was excellent. The only downside was that our waiter seemed very distracted and wasn’t attentive. Luckily the hostess (Sarah) jumped in and picked up some of the slack. We’ll definitely go again.
Be the first to ReplyGood, but it great
Expected it to be better that it was. Food felt very pre-prepared and left out for a while. Most of it was deep fried and felt greasy. We did the wine pairing, which was great. Enjoyed the concept. Overall, nice evening, but the food was a disappointment.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent all-round
Great food, great service, great value for money. Although this is billed as a “taster” menu, there is more than enough to fill you up! If you like high quality food at a very reasonable price, go here!

Exceptional experience. Food was brilliant but what topped it was the fantastic service. We had the Tokyo menu and pairing wine… bloody brilliant!
Be the first to ReplyStill hungry after the meal
I am a size 10 woman but left feeling hungry. I went home and cooked some food. Food tasted nice ther just wasn’t enough of it. We went for the Japanese tasting menu, not bad food tasted good there just wasn’t enough of it. My partner is 6’5 he was still very hungry afterwards. If it wasn’t enough to fill me then it certainly wasn’t enough for him. It was an expensive meal to leave hungry.

Interesting concept, six taster dishes. The sevice was excellent. Friendly, welcoming and very professional without being pushy. Very well organized. The dishes were spaced out over two hours with a good interval. Very tasty dishes with lots of flavours.
Be the first to ReplyLittle disappointing, only this time
Six by Nico has always been our restaurant where we celebrated special occasions and enjoyed every bit of overall experience. Only this time I was rather disappointed with the food. Many dishes were way Too salty, not hot enough to the warm white wines. I like my food and drinks as they are supposed to be. The only dish I enjoyed the most was the desert. The service was nice until the waiters asked us to move to the bar with our glass of wine. We informed twice to the other waiters that we will be out in less than 5 mins but they had no patience. We had to leave our wine and make our way out. The worse bit is to see no one waiting on our table to be served
Be the first to ReplyGreat service , food looked fab but.........
Atmosphere was buzzing , service was top notch but food was very disappointing. None of the courses were hot enough and at best tepid. The wine (Riesling ) was as warm as the food. Whilst visually the food was presented amazingly it left each of our party hungry. Best course by far was the dessert.. most disappointing was the cold Pepperoni pizza and the extremely runny shellfish risotto. Had a far better meal for a third of the cost the night before.

Visited here with two friends on a Saturday evening, arrived 20 minutes early and were sat at the bar, after 15 minutes no one had come to see us so had to ask for a menu! Waiter sat us down and said ‘Oh sorry you’re stuck me tonight’ the whole group work in hospitality so we get he was trying to make a joke but maybe not very appropriate? Was sat at a table right by the door so every time someone come in you got a cold breeze, did ask to move but the restaurant was full. (A previous table I think had the same complaint but were moved) Was deciding between the wine match and a couple of bottles but waiter didn’t really seem interested in the wine match or try to up sell so went with the bottles. There was an aperitif cocktail and snacks that we also weren’t offered when we sure would have if the waiter explained them to us. We had a different person every course bringing it over and explaining it so not really sure what our waiter was doing at this time? Whole experience just seem very rush, had six course in 1 hour 15 minutes, food was average just feels like they are trying a little too hard to be ‘trendy’ rather than put good food on a plate? This place has the opportunity to be great, the concept is a good idea but staff really need some better training and food needs work!
Be the first to ReplyGreat good, poor service
The perfect experience dining out is the confluence of great food and great service. You want to indulge in delicious eating and be waited on during your time at the restaurant. Six by Nico passed the test on the former with flying colours, but the service left much to be desired. First the good: the food. We ate from the Hanoi menu which paid homage to some great Vietnamese tastes. We chose a couple of options from the vegetarian menu to go with the standard fare. You'd think that a six-course menu for £44 would mean small portions, but they were perfectly decent and would put some fine dining establishments to shame with their size. They were almost all great with a full spectrum of flavours and tastes throughout the courses. We loved the mushroom broth so much and asked the server how it was done, only to be offered the recipe! The food was fantastic and we would love to do it all again when the next menu change comes up. Unfortunately, the service was far from fantastic. We were led to our table but did not see another person at our table for more than ten minutes -- no one to ask about water or drinks, no one to ask if we had any questions about the menu; just no one. When our server did finally show up, she mumbled through an apology and offered us prosecco (on the house) as a mea culpa. We did appreciate the gesture but it felt like they were trying to buy off their mistake. To be clear, the restaurant was far from full and while busy, we've eaten at far busier places with far better service. Because my wife and I had some dietary restrictions, we had to combine options between the regular and vegetarian menus. This caused much confusion and almost resulted in us not getting the right food. As we went through the night, there seemed to be poor communication between the servers. One would be at our table trying to explain and pour us a glass of wine; another would show up at our table with a dish and try to talk over the first one. It was all a bit distracting. Of server also struck up a conversation with the table next to us. It's always nice when that happens, but she got quite into it and neglected the fact that it intruded on our evening. She had also blocked our path out of the table making it quite difficult to head off to the bathroom. We made our way to the end of the menu (which was mentioned above, we enjoyed thoroughly). After we turned down the usual offer of coffee, we expected the bill to show up. We had plenty to talk about so we didn't think much of it. But 15 minutes of waiting saw no one appear at our table (much like how our meal began). The friendliness and attention our server showed to the table next to us was not at all present when our bill was needed. Ultimately, we gave up and walked to the front of the restaurant and asked to pay the bill. A quick-thinking server suggested that they were just on the way over with the bill, but of course the damage was done by then. We were celebrating a special night as it was my wife's birthday (something the restaurant knew about). We don't demand it, but you'd think in such a situation we'd see plenty of extra attention. We got none of it. We'd love to go back for the food, but after a service experience like that, we just can't imagine it happening.
Be the first to ReplyAn experience to remember!!
When we arrived, we mistakenly thought that the beautiful plates of food, some of which were the best tasting we've ever had, would be the highlight of our trip- but how wrong we were. The staff at Six by Nico (Fitzrovia) are a credit to the company, and the fine-dining industry as a whole. We were met by some of the warmest, most charismatic, and funniest servers, that made our visit truly unforgettable. Several times, the two of us agreed that if possible we would've invited the entire serving staff to join us at our table, feeling as though we had known them for years, let alone an hour. I, myself, have worked for a high-end fine-dining establishment for over half a decade, and often find, because of my age (mid-twenties but have a serious case of 'babyface') that younger customers aren't treated with the same care and attention as those, say middle age and up. We couldn't have been cared for more, and struggled to leave, thankfully catching the name of a few of the many smiley faces we had got to known over the course of the meal (a massive thanks to Laiyla) Focusing more on the food, words can't describe how delicious and masterfully plated each course was. Each in competition with the next. I was concerned that as a pescatarian I would miss out on the delicious looking fish dishes on offer, thankfully, once again, the staff were there to make sure I was able to experience the Hanoi menu to it's fullest. A favourite of the night was the shellfish foam (course 1) which was so incredible I wish I could have a continuous IV drip of it, as I didn't want it to end. The coconut cod was equally amazing, I truly don't think I will be able to eat cod again without it being a little disappointing. We can only extend our greatest thanks for what was an unforgettable evening, and can't wait to come bac for the next menu! Best, Aimee and Sofiya (aka. the girls in green)

Really great experience! The staff were all super friendly, Luca in particular was fantastic- really attentive. Being of Asian descent I was a little worried about eating an Asian menu but it was absolutely spectacular and really exceeded expectations. Looking forward to the next time already. Thanks team!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food in a buzzing restaurant.
We had a great lunch - the welcome was good, the staff were friendly, and service was attentive enough without being intrusive. The food was really excellent, with each dish being so well constructed with flavour combinations. We were impressed. For the price, this was excellent standard and value. The restaurant is buzzing and quite noisy, but only in an atmospheric way. We would definitely go again and are all keen to try the Canary Wharf branch too and keen to try the next different menu, which changes every six week. brilliant place and highly recommended.
