Expensive but definitely a must try
First thing first, it’s an expensive place. A starter, main course, a glass of wine and tips for a single person is around 120 bucks. But if you are ok then this is definitely a place worth the try. The good part is that they can improvise depending on your dietary restriction and it’s still good. They have a great chef so the dishes (salad, Halibut) are par excellence. Strangely they don’t offer bread which usually most restaurants offer. Good wine collection. Then come the service which is absolutely fantastic. The server who attended my table also attended 6 other bigger tables with equal attention and a smile - a super woman!!!

Be sure to book a reservation as soon as you can. There’s a reason it’s so popular. It’s excellent! A quick note- we did have trouble finding it with maps as it’s on the second floor. The decor is a bit kitsch with moose decorated lights but it’s cozy on a winter night. What really shines is the service and the food. Our wait server was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The food is the star of the experience. It’s classic with a fun twist. We enjoyed everything we ordered especially the steak and ragu. They were also really good with celiac allergy.

We started with the focaccia and cheese, out of this world. Then each had a different fish entree. We were too full for dessert. The food was delicious, the staff was fantastic. Definitely a special restaurant.

Snake River Grill was highly recommended by a lot of people that I know, so my wife and I finally made it. It surpassed the expectations that we had. Our food was amazing (Chorizo wrapped dates and the Sticky Toffee pudding my wife and I shared, and I had the Fettuccine Ragu; all of which were outstanding. Our server Morgan was absolutely the best; she was very friendly, had great recommendations, and checked on us frequently to ensure we had an outstanding experience. I highly recommend coming here for dinner, and be sure to ask to get seated in Morgan’s section - you won’t be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyBy far the best restaurant in Jackson
One of the best restaurants in town. Excellent food and service. Me and my wife shared a coulette steak with parmesan risotto and some truffled fries. Just make sure you have a reservation and note this restaurant only opens at 5pm.

I have to agree with the other patrons. We came for dinner at the first open day of the season and were absolutely blown away. The service from entrance to exit was next-level, and the interior is remarkably well and tastefully decorated -- warm and reflective of all Jackson has to offer. The food is stunning. Incredibly well done and marvelous flavors which truly represent some of the best dining I have ever had. Every dish from appetizer to mains was heavenly. Absolutely recommend with full heart!

This was my favorite restaurant in Jackson Hole! For starters, the service all the way around was above and beyond! The atmosphere was cozy with a great view! The food was beyond amazing! We were having fun trying to guess all the differen flavors! This chef is very creative!!!! We were so full after dinner, but because everything was so good we had to try dessert! This place blew us away!!!! Kudos to this chef for such unique flavor combibations!

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here! Everything was delicious! Service and atmosphere was fabulous! The only thing we would change is the menu. VERY limited menu with no filet offered and only a bison ribeye for $195 (other steak options were sirloin and flank steak). Our snapper was a VERY meager serving - no sauce. Other than that very enjoyable!!

Be the first to ReplyWorst Expensive Restaurant
My husband and I enjoy fine dining. We agreed that Snake River Grill was the worst expensive restaurant that we have ever encountered. My red snapper was a throw back fish about the size of a hand palm, pan cooked with the skin on because that was about all there was left, served over about 2 teaspoons of black-eyed peas. His (my husband's) rack of lamb consisted of 2 lollipops that was mostly fat. Our caesar salads came out first. They were whole leaf, cut from the bottom white stalk of the romaine lettuce, so we ask that they try again with the green part:) The kitchen cut up the small portion of white stalk and sent it back to our table with a tiny bit of caesar dressing ( we asked for the dressing on the side). Our goal was a nice meal in Jackson, not a contest with the restaurant. The server was excellent, good wine was very expensive, and the ambiance was exceptional . I'm a small fit person that doesn't need a lot of food to fill me up. When we left, I went back to our cabin and ate left over Whole Foods chicken because I was starving. While the restaurant did comp most of our meal, we were not looking for free substandard food.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Service; Good (but Expensive) Food
We had a really fantastic dinner here. The service was the best we had in our week in Jackson Hole, and the food was very good. (We did find it odd that our steaks came pre-cut, but we can understand why this was done.) The restaurant is pretty quiet, even when full, which we appreciated greatly. Just be ready for the high prices, which was too much for us when we first visited The Hole a decade or more ago.

Most dishes are a problem for anyone with allergies. That aside SRG is simply nothing like it was a few years ago. Risotto was tasteless as was the Stripes Bass. When one of our party literally barely touched it because it was so bad, the server asked if it was OK and she said no it wasn't. Server was oh OK and could not care less. Over the years we have always gone here at least once a trip - NEVER again

I really wanted to love this restaurant that four of our group of six had visited in years past. The welcome was warm; coats taken and then shown to our table. The restaurant looks quite lovely in side with the open fire. The menu look fine. Those that ordered the lambs shank and duck really enjoyed that, however the flank wagyu beef was quite chewy and very ordinary for the price we paid for it. The waitress was nice enough but we just didn’t warm to her. We were all a little disappointed overall.

Went here and put our name in for the bar. They said would be 30-40 min. No problem. Went back to check up at 50 min. Different front desk person was rude right off the bat and said we had only been waiting 30 min. I explained it had been almost 1 hour but that we would still like to keep our name in. Never heard back and called saying it had been 2.5 hours and we hadn't heard anything. She said 'yes we took your name off the list'. When I asked why, she said 'because we had plenty other guests'. I was shocked and said we were never notified of this. She then said 'have a good night' and hung up on me. I am utterly shocked that a place of business thinks they can treat people this way. I tried calling back and of course she did not answer. I think everyone should be aware of this, dine there with caution. This is not a professional establishment.

The only nice thing about this once great restaurant is they have very nicely dressed waiters that serve everyone at the same time... and I mean same time. Corkage fees are outrageous, dinners don't rate on the same scale with others in town, and nothing else positive to say... other than bar pretzels are still great and affordable.
Be the first to ReplyFine dining, great atmosphere
They had me at "caviar service." This lovely restaurant that sits upstairs on Broadway Ave has the perfect vibe. White linen tablecloths yes, but casual soundtrack of Frank Sinatra and other stalwarts of the Great American Songbook. Wait staff are knowledgeable and fun. The food is superb. Our table had the caviar service--to die for-- as well as an excellent Ceasar salad, grilled bass, and a grilled flank steak. Desert was a shared dish of black cherry sorbet. The bill was $200, and worth every penny. A great evening of fine food.

Excellent dinner at SRG. We had reservations and were promptly seated. Service was perfect. We started with the onion rings, so good! We then had the pork chop and the duck and both were excellent! We’ll for sure be back next time we’re in Jackson Hole.

Be the first to ReplyLovely 75th Birthday Dinner
Beautiful restaurant in the heart of downtown Jackson. Had my 75th birthday dinner here with friends and family. Started with the chili “Onion Rings.” An interesting, tasty and different take on onion rings. Main course was pasta. Bolognese- delish. Nice wine selection. A very sweet waiter made my B-day with a lovely chocolate dipped ice cream dessert - all dressed up for the occasion - I hope my host gave him a generous tip.

SRG was really great! We went on our last night in Jackson Hole and loved everything about it. We started with the Arugula salad & leeks, followed by the special seared scallops and then the Bolognese with pork & beef... all AMAZING!! Everyone was super nice and we loved the décor. Can't wait to go back next year!

A very lively, fun and engaging setting. Our group had both beef and seafood……all was delicious. The place lives up to its very positive reputation.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Food And Atmosphere
Great food - really unique and super high quality. Would definitely go again. My only qualms were they were light on staff (a problem with a lot of places nowadays), but they seemed to figure out how to get it done. They were out of the wine I wanted, but I found a suitable alternative. Make reservations well in advance - super busy.
Be the first to ReplySRG Disappoints
I would recommend dining at SRG if you are looking for below average, overpriced food. My family and I ordered the carpaccio pizza, zucchini soup, Caesar salad, heirloom tomato salad, turbot, pork schnitzel, and duck. The lauded pizza was underwhelming and salty/oily; both salads were drenched in dressing; the heirloom tomato salad was more like a house salad due to the ratio of tomatoes to lettuce; the turbot was soggy from the pooling butter sauce; the schnitzel was extremely dry and lacked the paired apricot jam (even the maitre d’ noticed when my father asked for additional jam); both the duck breast and pairings lacked flavor and tenderness. Additionally, the restaurant lacked an ambiance of intimacy and privacy. There wasn’t even a dress code (some guests were wearing tshirts and ball caps inside)! Furthermore, the service is something to be desired. We waited too long between courses, and our specific server could not describe the offerings when asked a specific question. Overall, we were incredibly disappointed with SRG. Do not be deceived when one refers to this restaurant as the best fine dining experience in The Valley!
